There was a woman near the front row who was freaking out every time Jim did the "bad acting" scene and went to get the book. Mamallama, did you see her? Maybe she was the one who called out "Jim!" Mmmmm...I noticed the leg stroking too. I did notice his clothes were way more form-fitting than Sheldon's, but I didn't notice as much um, detail, as some of you. I think Janes character got as much action as Amy has in 4 years. It really was a nice kiss.

I thought it was great considering the lack of rehearsal time. He didn't seem anxious to me. I thought Richard Kind as the director was terrific.

So fun. Thanks Jamie, Kerry, Irene, Notch, and Phanta for talking me into going.

The kiss was chaste but cute.  Lasted a few seconds, kind of a Sheldon/Amy kiss before the ILY I imagine.

Yes, I noticed her.  Good thing I wasn't in those seats, I would have been reaching out for him, involuntarily, of course.

Everyone was fabulous, amazing how they pulled something so good all together so quickly.

He stroked his leg a lot, had a lot of "nervous tick" type movements, but I suspect that's just him.

After I discovered Todd was so close, I snuck a few glances back every now and then.  He was beaming the entire time, a smile plastered across his face.  They are such an adorable couple (and I'm kinda glad he's with Todd, I'd hate to have to fight you ladies off).

I was just saying to ShamyShipper that I cashed in all my birthday, anniversary and holiday gifts for the next year just to go to this.  It was so worth it.  I am not a night person, but I can not sleep right now.  I am wired; on a Jimmy high.  Hopefully can sleep in tomorrow before I head over to have lunch with D2 (who, while not a Jim fan, had a great time and now understands and supports her mama's obsession) and then hit the road for a long drive home.

Well he's been in NY for over a week so has probably been rehearsing on and off, I'm guessing he has anyway

Standard Broadway shows are Tuesday-Sunday and off Mondays so I'm sure they've been rehearsing since he got there two weeks ago.

I'm obsessed with knowing more about the kiss now! More details please!

It was probably what I call a standard stage kiss where you pucker your lips and tilt your heads.  Very sweet and simple.

Panty lines, suspenders, cowboy outfit, woodsy aroma...

I wasn't there, but I may faint anyway!

I love that sweater he was wearing in the pics where he's signing autographs--and his hair in that pic looks so good. A little tousled...

Oh my...

Thanks to all for all the details!! So happy you got to experience it!

Think of how Sheldon started off kissing Amy for the SIK1.0.  Kind of like that, standing up straight and bending over.  There was no other touching involved.  It was adorable and very much in tune with how the characters interacted during the play.  The kiss was the last part of the play, so when they broke the kiss and the audience applauded, they leaned in again and quickly kissed one more time.

Damn it, why wasn't I born as Mayim or Jane (although, I think I'd rather be Mayim, I'm sure she's got some juicy kisses coming up over the next 2.5 years.

If I were Mayim, Jim would be getting tired of me wanting to rehearse certain scenes over and over and over...

My God you are all so lucky, I am so envious, but hearing about all that you saw (and smelt) almost makes me feel that I was there - at least in spirit.

I absolutely adore Jodd and loved the description of Todd beaming down at Jim.  They both seem such nice people, you can understand what they see in each other - oh hell I just want to give them both a huge big hug.  I think if I had been in mamallama's seat I would have had neck ache from trying to look in two places at the same time.

Thank you all so much for sharing - helps make a miserable Tuesday morning in the UK more bearable.

The kiss was just moments after this

c4993c6dc146b2e2fc08d319adb21be9.jpg

It was a really sweet last scene which kind of tied things up from earlier. The audience gave out a "Aaaww" when he said on the phone "But I think I'll be soon" - talking about being married, I assumed. Then there were some more lines and after he hung up he leaned in and kissed her. So I think she was sitting and he standing, they could have been holding hands but I'm not sure. I honestly didn't see the kiss coming until the very end, and when he leaned in I thought they would shut the light down before their lips met, but light was on for about 3 seconds before they shut down. I have to admit I got super jealous here so I put my binocolor down for the first time during the entire play, but I do remember that even in the dark we could still see their siluettes, and to me it looked like they kept kissing and didn't break it until just before the light went on again maybe someone else who was there can remember?

And then after, like Mama said, they leaned in again and kissed quickly.

:icon_razz:Good morning. Did any of the ladies who got to go get any sleep last night lol? (I am betting no.)

I was wondering if any of you got a feel for his actual height when you were watching live or (if you were lucky enough) standing next to him to get his autograph. He just seems crazy tall to me even when he's not on TBBT.

When I met him after I was surprised to how "minor" he was.. I think I've always imagined him as really huge for some reason, but he felt quite small while getting through the crowd, and when he was in front of me it wasn't like "wow he's so tall", but rather like any other guy I ever met.

I contemplated reaching out and squeezing his bicepts when he moved past me, but I restrained myself, he had a guard just behind him who was kind of strict with the rules.

Morning, ladies.  I finally shut down my laptop around 1:40am in an attempt to sleep, it came, but not well.  I'm still all Jimmied up!

At 6'1", Jim is tall, but not overwhelmingly so.  My husband is that height, so I have a feel for it (and if only I could have felt Jim!  Jamie, being yelled at or grabbed by the security guard would just have been a small inconvenience, just think, you could have reported back on those biceps plus his wonderful smell.).

I think he appears so much taller because:

1.  He's slim.  For some reason I thought he would be really skinny when I saw him in real life, and they say tv adds 10 lbs, but while he is thin, I'd bet he's a 32 waist.  He just seemed really fit.  Trim and fit is what I'd use to describe him.  I once saw Wilhem DaFoe in an airport lounge and then sat in front on him on the plane.  THAT is one skinny dude, short, too.  Jim is just perfection.  Whatever he is doing, he needs to keep it up (SaH - behave), it's working and working well.

2.  Jim always seems to be surrounded by shorter people.  I think that creates the illusion that he is taller than he is.  Last night the only other actor that was his height was Richard Kind.

Another thing I was really focused on was his hands.  Those fingers are everything you think they would be.  Long and thin and definitely musician hands.  His hands are constantly in movement and it was divine.

I need an eidetic memory.
