Honestly, it's embarrassing that people feel the need to bring up that he's gay.  Why?  I remember seeing that opening monologue and wondering why they felt the need to point that out (although if Jim is ok with it, I guess I should be, too) and the articles about him being the highest paid gay actor on tv.  He's a human being and that's what I judge him on.  Is he thoughtful, considerate, articulate, intelligent..., I really don't care who he chooses to love.  In a world where there's so much hate, prejudice and violence lately, people should be celebrating love and commitment, the things that make the world a kinder, better place.

If an article about Jim starts off with presenting him as "Gay actor Jim Parsons" I'll just give up on reading it. If thats their focus in the beginning you know for sure its gonna be during the entire piece. Even if being gay is part of who he is, its not what made him famous and its not why he's the most talanted and beloved actor in Hollywood, which is where, imo, the focus should be when writing about him.

I used to have a very conservative view toward gays, I was raised that way. 2 years ago, when Jim came out, I was so shocked, I almost cried. I didn't even know why I was that upset. However, gradually I have come to realize that it doesn't matter at all. I still love him and I'm happy for him. He found someone he loves and that person (Todd) loves him as much. To quote Amy, "I guess that's all anybody wants."

Probably it doesn't have sense speak of actors gay as if they are a category apart, it's the talent of a person to do the difference..  however I agree with the idea that a beloved and popular person as Jim, is a good example and a great inspiration for so many boys and girls that think to be wrong and for so many people that judge someone only for sexual orientation. I like the honesty and the simplicity with which Jim succeeds to be himself without fear or clamor.

P.S.

does someone know when is Todd's birthday??

Todd's birthday is January 10th.

Thanks! so Todd is just 4 years older than me.. (I will be 34 years old in two days..  )

but I don't think that Jim will post something about this... he's so reserved.. and then on IG lately the fans are a bit too agitated  :p

Happy birthday to all the January babies here!

Any time I see a pic of Jim and Todd, I can't help my shallow side coming out. I always think "Wow Jim did well!"

And the pictures of Todd do not do him justice.  Way better looking in real life, imo, and that's not a slam, in pictures he's cute.

A gorgeous couple for sure.  They both seem so devoted to each other.  There's one picture of the two of them at a Lakers game; the way they are looking at each other...pure love.

Well stated, Mamallama.  I wonder, too, when people are going to stop mentioning it.  After all, no one even knew his sexual orientation until he came out in 2012, and no one mentioned it before that, so why is it brought up continuously now?!  It should be very old news by now; passe’ really, at this juncture.

I was by the book store today and found the new copy of "Details" magazine. Now I can stare at Johnny Depp and Jim at the same time!

I have my favorite actor pics, a stack of books and a banana Slurpee so it is a good afternoon. (Oh yeah and I also have all my professional licenses freshly up to date. But priorities people!)
