He's got that long, lanky body that seems to be able to move in all directions at once.  I just watched the Bruno Mars video of the song (I think it's Uptown Funk You Up, that was tagged in Bri's IG pic) and there are some very hot moves.  I'm a puddle of goo just thinking about Jim moving like that.

That was a fabulous article, thanks, Vonmar, for posting the link.  I love him even more now.  He's an early morning, don't talk to me person, just like me.  Notice how they got Todd's last name wrong, Spivak.  Just the questions and comments he was making were so insightful.

Keeping Pace

by Jim Parsons

Over Thanksgiving break, Pace spoke to his good friend Jim Parsons, with whom he acted in The Normal Heart on Broadway.

Omg! i loved this! i had no idea they were such good friends...

Thank you Vonmar for linking that article. I can hear Jim asking these questions and they are so intimate and knowing. It was like the best interview. He's so inspiring. My favorite part was the work begets work part. Cause I'm so disillusioned in my current career and I'm looking for inspiration and those 3 simple words make such a difference. Cause it's really a simple thing this life and we always try to make it more complicated than it should be.

Thanks for sharing that!  Great interview and nice, fun, intelligent conversation.  So who does Lee Pace play in the Hobbit movies?  (I'm probably going to embarrass myself...)  I've seen the first two and I'm going to see the new one when I meet my sisters for Christmas, but I've only seen them once, and I don't quite remember who all is in them, apart from Martin Freeman and Cumberbatch and a couple of others.

I have seen Lee Pace in the first one or two eps of Halt and Catch Fire, but I couldn't really get into the show.  And oddly, I also saw John Benjamin Hickey, whom they mention from the Normal Heart production, in the first couple of episodes of Manhattan, when it first started--another show I couldn't quite get into...  :p

There was even a passing reference to Jim in an article about Hickey when that show first started.  In an article in TV Guide, it mentioned that Hickey had called Jim about advice on how to play a physicist, because of Hickey's role in Manhattan (it's about the Manhattan Project, not the city. ;) )

How nice that they had him do the interview.  Hasn't Jim been interviewed for Interview Magazine?  I'm blanking right now.

Anyway, that was fun--love the little insights into both their lives.  Growing up in Texas, Lee visiting with Jim in LA, Jim's morning routine.  It's funny to imagine smiley, happy Jimmy being a "don't talk to me" person, but I can kind of see it.  He has a thin grumpy streak. :p

I love what he is wearing here. His legs look really long and his shoulders look really nice.

The king- or something like it- of the elves in the woods - or something like it- he was along with Legolas (played by Orlando Bloom), and the elf chick (played by Evangeline Lilly)

I was at the taping last night and Jim really got into the dancing and did it really well... Not awkward at all! He really seemed to be enjoying himself!! As soon as it finished rushed backstage though, whereas the rest of the cast and crew looked like they were hanging around for a bit of a Christmas party. I'm pretty sure I saw Jim's car leaving the lot soon after, so either he had somewhere to go or wasn't into the Christmas celebrations.

As I sit here reading this, I am constantly scanning the Internet (including TBBT forums) to distract myself from the boredom of my job. Feeling disillusioned with your job or your career is well understood! I was afraid it would make me sound crazy to say that both the brilliant actors and the fictional characters of this show are moving me to reevaluate my life but it is very true. Inspiration can and should be found in many places!

Thank you!

Yeah, he just says he's bad dancer, like when he says he doesn't sing pretty, like when he says his shirts are making him look buff lol ;)

Okay, I was thinking for a moment that he was one of the dwarves, but now I know who you're talking about.  Thanks!

A while back someone posted about Jim reprising Jimmy Stewart's roll in "It's A Wonderful Life." Watching the movie now, I can totally see Jim in the roll. Maybe it's their physical resemblance to each other, but I would love to see a remake. Especially in this age of 3D, CGI apocalyptic flics.

I, too, could totally see him in any Jimmy Stewart role, Gorn.  In fact, I just wrote the other day how much he reminded me of Jimmy Stewart in many ways, in that old Hollywood manner, and Jim does resemble him in part, you’re right.  Someone mentioned on here months ago that they could see him in a remake of the Philadelphia Story.  I’d like to see him in the Jimmy Stewart role in a remake of that film or even a remake film version of Harvey; howeverwhile I enjoy seeing remakes, if they are done well, and though I’m sure he could totally pull off George Bailey in a remake of It’s a Wonderful Life, I hope that one never gets remade, as it’s my favorite Jimmy Stewart film, and I love it just the way it is.  I don’t want to even think of that story without the original cast of Stewart, Donna Reed, Lionel Barrymore, Thomas Mitchell and the others.  It's a classic, and I don’t think the classics should be touched.  It’d be the equivalent of remaking the Big Bang Theory one day with an entirely different cast.  Can you imagine that?!  It would be very upsetting to fans everywhere!

I was thinking about the Jim Parsons/Jimmy Stewart comparison the other day when I was watching The Shop Around the Corner with Stewart.  I remember this one scene where JS is throwing some guy out of the shop and he has those long arms and legs and I was thinking I could see Jim kind of moving like him.

I also would not want to see a remake of Wonderful Life, but I could certainly see him as a JS type. :)

The Shop Around the Corner is one of my fave Jimmy Stewart movies. Totally agree Parsons could play pretty much any Stewart role. I personally would love to see a remake of Rear Window.

Didn't they do a sort of remake of Rear Window with Christopher Reeve after he was paralyzed?

While I wouldn't mind seeing Jim in a remake of various films, I really want him to surprise us with something completely different. :)

But has he done any kind of full starring role in anything other than a play since he started doing Big Bang?

I'm still eager to hear more about that one film he did, and, of course, we have Home to look forward to in March.

If people are looking for the video of the flash mob, I suspect it is going to be professionally edited and that may be why it isn't up.   Kaley probably has someone from the studio editing it and CBS may want to release it themselves...so there may be copyright issues if she releases it.   Not sure...but that may be why there is a delay in seeing it come up.  It may not even be up until after the holidays if that is the case.  Just wanted to let you know so you don't expect it immediately and then be disappointed it isn't up yet.
