Jim Parsons

I was thinking about the Jim Parsons/Jimmy Stewart comparison the other day when I was watching The Shop Around the Corner with Stewart.  I remember this one scene where JS is throwing some guy out of the shop and he has those long arms and legs and I was thinking I could see Jim kind of moving like him.

I also would not want to see a remake of Wonderful Life, but I could certainly see him as a JS type. :)

Definitely.  He definitely has that same lanky frame as Jimmy Stewart, the height, the arms, and yes, the legs. so he certainly could move like Jimmy, as you said. The Shop Around the Corner is another of my fav Stewart films, though it's played much less often than It's a Wonderful Life.  Jim would be perfect in a remake of it, and it has already been remade into Summertime with Judy Garland and Van Johnson, so another updated remake wouldn't hurt at all.  :)

If people are looking for the video of the flash mob, I suspect it is going to be professionally edited and that may be why it isn't up.   Kaley probably has someone from the studio editing it and CBS may want to release it themselves...so there may be copyright issues if she releases it.   Not sure...but that may be why there is a delay in seeing it come up.  It may not even be up until after the holidays if that is the case.  Just wanted to let you know so you don't expect it immediately and then be disappointed it isn't up yet.

They did another flash mob?  Cool!  Can't wait to see the video of it when it becomes available.  :)

And JIM DANCED.  Front and center.  So excited for video.

Yeah, I kind of can't get over with this.  Jim basically admitted during the Paley Center interviews from a couple of years ago, that he had ditched on dancing in Kaley's first flash mob ,  I wonder if he felt bad and agreed to this one.  Anyway, it looks like he (everyone) had a great time and I can't wait to see the video.

P.S.  Nice gams, Jim :)

Yeah, I'm finding it really difficult to stop looking at his legs...much like Amy did...

Anyone notice in that interview Jim did that Todd was dissed a little?

Jim was talking about enjoying coffee with his houseguest "and then Todd came down" like he was in the way or something

Yes I was surprised no one made a remark on that. I just got a odd feeling about that part. It came off weird.

And also, the fact that he says he always have coffee alone in the mornings, which kind of disproves what he said in his GLSEN speech about him and Todd having coffee in the mornings together, as part of their "boring kind of love". But idk, I guess people make stuff up in speeches.

I never took it that way. Just that Jim and Lee enjoy the early mornings and maybe Todd sleeps until late. Jim and Lee would go about their routines in the morning, and then Todd'd joined them later.

PARSONS: Normally I don't like to talk to people in the morning and that was oddly my favorite time while you were there— having coffee in the morning.

PACE: We'd try to talk news stuff, have coffee, and then Todd would come up.

PARSONS: There were these periods of silence where you'd kind of journal while I was in my morning routine or whatever and then we'd talk again.

PACE: This is us.

Just because he apparently gets up earlier than Todd doesn't mean that Todd doesn't join him for coffee at some point. They don't have to wake up at exactly the same moment in order to share their mornings.

If Jim likes to be alone first thing in the morning, maybe Todd know that and let's Jim have those first moments alone, then joins him once the coffee is brewing.

Doesn't strike me as being something Jim just faked for the GLSEN speech.

Of course we don't know the details of their lives one way or the other, but I don't see one detail as totally contradicting the other.

To me, the most important message of that discourse was that their relationship is an act of love and not of activism.. their habits were just an example. Instead I have found nice that Todd always succeeds in not only sharing the Jim's workload but also the colleagues' presence  :p . I believe that Todd is an extremely balanced person, his position must not be always simple, yet I believe that Jim is so confident and happy also because this relationship.
After all, Jim has said that the most beautiful day of its life has been when has met Todd and maybe it's true  :) . Obviously I don't know if they will be happy forever, but for now their relationship seems  very strong to me.

My sister is NOT a morning person. My sister in law does not make an appearance until the coffee ius brewed and she is sure at least some in in her system. Or as she says, until caffeine chases the morning bear away.

I took it the way Phanta stated.  Jim gets up super early, has his "me" time and then Todd joins him later and they share Jim's 2nd cup of coffee.  I didn't read anything untowards in the comment.  The only thing I noticed is they got Todd's last name wrong.

I'm a total morning person, my brain is engaged, I have my tea, read my book or the newspaper a little bit and plan out my day.  However, I want that time ALONE.   If you come downstairs and try to engage me it will be civil but I will not be happy and my day kind of gets thrown off.

This is me.  I am perfectly content to sit in silence with someone else in the morning though.

When I read this part, it struck me as odd. I wasn't going to comment on it because people lose their minds if you talk about Jim and Todd's relationship, for some reason.

I took it the same way as Rachel. It's hard to understand the true context because it is text not audio/video, obviously. But, why would you say "we'd try to talk news and stuff..."? I was surprised that no one mentioned it. Because of the wording he used, it leaves the quote open for interpretation. I just found it very strange when I read it and still do. Couple that with not knowing Todd's last name, (no, there is no way "Spivak" is a typo), the whole thing is just weird.

I don't know about the "coffee in the morning" talk, but seems like Jim likes to be alone in the morning. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I don't like humans in the morning either.

It is difficult because is text... and I heard a many famous people said that in texts the "autor" changes a little bit the words and sometimes something can sound different or be bad interpretation... (sorry for me english again haha).

Todd and Jim are very good. Jim is so proud of Todd and Todd of Jim. But they are many time thogether and maybe they want "relax". I love my partner so much but I like time for myself...

When Jim is in vacation he is with Todd always because we can see pics of them thogether.I dont care this interview so much because is text... haha.

When Rihanna ask Jim for the island(i think) he said "Todd, Otis and Rufus" without think... and after he said he dont want more people because could ruin it or something like. I understand this part good?

(And I repeat: Jim and Todd are good :) )

See, this is what I don't understand. No one insinuated that Jim and Todd weren't "good", hence my point about everyone losing their minds when their relationship gets brought up. Discussing an odd comment Jim's friend made equates to Jim and Todd not having a "good" relationship? Well, alright then.

The interview, as a whole, was odd to me; on both Jim and Lee's side. Idk what it was, it just seemed all over the place and like Jim's thoughts were unorganized or he was manic.

I don't think any drama is being created by pointing out that something came off as weird. It amuses me when people are overly defensive.

It amuses me when people try to create drama where there likely isn't any.

It amuses me when people don't get that this is forum where the mainpoint is to discuss stuff by sharing our thoughts, views and takes on different things. Just because someone had a different perception on something it does not mean this person is trying to create drama, but rather just sharing an honest thought on something to hope for others to open up and do the same.
