I wonder if he was busy pre-taping stuff today. At least tomorrow is TAPING DAY!

I think our Council of Ladies has been running amok in LA for several days now, lord only know what they're going to do tomorrow night! :p

I hope they get to see a great episode! :)

I loved TNH but it didn't seem the kind of history that could have a sequel.. I mean, they could deepen the lives of some protagonists but the historical and social importance of that period has broadly been reported in the first film... so I'm very curious about the plot!
Anyway  if they decide to produce it, surely will do a good job.

Maybe it can be at the same time that the first film but we can know better Tommy. Maybe a romance for Jim... (I wish). They could do a better part for Jim on TNH, more text and I would like to know more about Tommy... if they do the second film I would like to see his life.

I wonder to what extent Larry Kramer would want to be true to life or to fictionalize the story.

Since all or most of the characters were meant to represent real life people he knew in those early days and the coming together of the GMHC group, I wonder if he would do something like writing something of what happened to the real people over the years, which might mean an eventual suicide for Jim's character, or if he would fictionalize it and change the endings or explore other aspects of their lives.

I don't think they've really hinted at where they plan to go with a second story.

Yes they have - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Destiny_of_Me.  It premiered in 1992, seven years after TNH.

Have they said that they'll follow this story? This story seems to concentrate primarily on Ned Weeks' past rather than the future of the characters in TNH. I mean, if they're showing Ned checking in for treatment, they could possibly have characters like Tommy Boatwright popping up here and there.

But if they want to explore anyone other than Ned, I'd think Kramer would want to do something different. Dunno.

From the December 10th Variety article: http://variety.com/2014/film/news/larry-kramer-breaks-silence-about-normal-heart-sequel-1201376397/

How far along are you?
I’m about two-thirds of the way through the first pass. It starts around the end of “The Normal Heart” in 1984. And it goes not the appearance of the first drugs around 2001. Mark Ruffalo, who we hope will repeat his performance, will have to play Ned at a few times in his life: at the time of “The Normal Heart”; in the middle where he gets sick; and today.

Is Ned still the main character?
He still is. The part of Tommy, which I hope will be played again by Jim Parsons, is much bigger. He becomes a more important character in the sequel, as he was in my real life.

Will Julia Roberts be back?
I certainly hope so. Ryan wants to use the same actors as in the first movie, if he can get him. It was a very close company. In the sequel, the part of the doctor is quite dramatic in that her polio returns and she has to go into an iron lung, and she conducts business from the hospital.

I am glad Jim edited his IG post and credited the woman that made the string art.  He tagged her and her etsy site is on her IG profile.

Not that I needed help finding her  lol - I posted the link to her store before he did.   :icon_redface:

My friend calls it the "Parsons Effect"

Was this a new post today?  Or is this from that pic he posted some time ago.  (It's sad that his posts are sometimes so few and far between...)
