I wonder if a lot of the appeal of the project for him is working with Joe Mantello again. I was surprised he went to see Sting's musical, The Last Ship, until I remembered that JM was the director, which is, I'm sure, the primary reason Jim went to see it. So maybe that was his primary motivation for doing it. Dunno. I recall an interview he did (i wish i could remember which one was so i'll post it. Sorry) where he mentioned doing Ubú Roi in theater. So i guess the comedy aspect of this play perhaps had something to do with his desition too. it's full of satire. But i agree with you, that Montello being the director might be the primery reason. This show will definitely not be politically correct. But I loved Book of Mormon, so it sounds good to me! He's got to be back in LA by the 3rd, though, when they start rehearsals for the next episode. You know what's weird? A moment ago I was able to see the pic of Jim "praying" and of the comment he posted on Mayim's IG, but now they're gone... I was going to see if I could tell if his pic was in his own home or somewhere else, since he was wearing that coat (I don't think he'd be in it at home, but whatever...)
