I love watching him work in this context--it's so different from Sheldon, and yet it's still very much Jim.

And it's kind of fascinating to see him do something kind of "big" for a moment and then just completely drop it the second he's said the line.

I remember reading the taping report for the episode where Penny gives him acting lessons and I think the person who went said that as soon as they finished Sheldon's crying scene, Jim just was back to himself. Of course, that was "funny" crying, not really emotional like the funeral scene in TNH, but even so, he can do something so kind of over the top and then just switch it off so quickly.

I love it. :)

I'm not quite sure this is the spot for this question, but.. Does anyone think that something really bad was posted to one of the Instagram accounts?  It does seem Jim posts a lot less and then the discussion on the last show about the anonymity of the internet.  Thoughts...

Sadly, there have been a number of nasty and inappropriate things posted there. These range from the stupid but relatively harmless to the nearly violent. I have not read a number of the comments others have talked about but I HAVE read a couple of really nasty comments there that were basically just homophobic rants and rhetoric about him and Todd. The really sad thing is that most of these seem to go under the radar for a variety of reasons. I guess one of them is that people are so used to hearing them or to misinterpreting them that they do not react the same way any more!

Actually, from what I've seen, they do not go under the radar at all. As soon as someone posts a hate comment on Jim's insta atleast 10 people answers. Then more people get curious as to what is going on and suddently there's 20 more answers to that comment. I don't know if that is good or bad. Sure its great to see people react, but at the same time, do we really wanna give those people trolling or leaving hate the attention? I've stopped responding to them, there's no point arguing with them cause that is basically what they want. When I see something I just report it instead, and if its really bad I ask friends to report it as well. Think its the best thing to do.

I have also reported some of the more abusive comments.  I think that is more effective that sparring with them.  It is sad though, that people feel it is ok to insult or abuse a person that is willing to share some of themselves with us all.

I really thought they were sending a message in the last episode.

Loved the episode BTW.

I am actually kind of glad to hear that even though I agree with you that it might not be a good idea to give these people attention. I am certainly glad this stuff gets reported! I don't know why these people have the impulse to do that to a stranger.

One thing I noticed was on someone else's IG account, where I think they were posting jodd stuff or whatever, was that apparently someone was tagging Todd with something because he actually posted "Please stop tagging me" or something like that, on their account.

Yes. Back in September there was an account made with the purpose of mocking Todd. They edited photos with his face and wrote nasty comments. Me and some others from here tried to stop them by reporting several time and tell them to quit. Sadly we didn't work fast enough cause Todd saw the account and asked them to stop tagging him in the comments. The account was closed two days after. But apparently someone had the time to take a screen shot before. And thats what you saw on insta.

I don't see the point in bringing this back now and I dont get why the insta girl chose to post that old screen shot. It was taken care of and Todd has been left alone for 6 months now. I haven't seen any hate what so ever. But it seems like those insta girls wanna play heroes and get Todds attention with their #joddarmy and #savetoddspiewak hashtags etc. I'd say they should just leave him alone. He probably don't even wanna be reminded about that old account.

OIC. I didn't realize it was an old post. Anyway, I do wish they'd just leave him alone. I don't think Todd needs them to be sticking up for him or for him and Jim. :icon_rolleyes:

Every time that Jim or Mayim post a pic together a part of fans thinks that they are declaring their mutual love. And then when Jim posts a pic with Todd these people are disappointed and they begin to write stupid comments. It's the same matter that, at times, also emerges in this thread. Obviously a group of fans doesn't condition the life of Jim or Todd but IF Jim is posting less pics with him for guilt of these people, well..  this is a sad thing however.

I am sure that Jim will never polemize with his fans, there is a lot of affection for Mayim and he on IG, but I don't believe that it's wrong if someone feels the need to express own affection for Todd too.. he must not believe that all the fans of Jim hate him or are indifferent about him, so many people genuinely love this couple and it's fair if this people want do that, also their voice emerges on IG.. I don't see anything of wrong in this. There is a lot of fanaticism on IG, especially about Jim and Mayim, some hashtag for Todd will not be the end of the world. The lack of respect it's the only thing really bad to me.

This is infuriating. Especially considering Jim and Todd seem like such lovely, genuine people. They don't deserve this kind of abuse.

Unfortunetly i think some just cant accept fact that Jim is gay and that he not into women's for some reason. These peoples (who do those things) literally want Mayim and Jim to become a reality because of Sheldon and Amy and because of close they are And think he only pretending lol They want Jim to be the person THEY want him to be and think he can 'change' just like that.

This kind of abuse is uncalled for.. I don't ever remember Neil Patrick Harris getting this kind of Abuse
