I'm so glad I'm 24 and don't care what people think of me still ordering happy meals.

Apparently a girl in the audience on the taping tonight was lucky enough to get to wish Jim happy birthday.

that was embarrassing. I dont like Spanish talk shows w gimmicks. I felt bad for Jim. I bet he was like WTF??!?!?!

I cant even finish the video.

I don't know where you're from, I don't know what your background is. This sounds very closed minded.  You're essentially making fun of a culture, so please be careful.

I was able to watch it just fine.  I enjoyed it.  I love how he is game for anything. He's not shy and he went for it.  I'm not going to lie, the show is over the top, its essentially a morning show to wake people up.  It's not going to be the Today Show. It's a different culture and audience. Of course, the language thing comes up, but it's not an issue. He had a monitor in his ear and he was paying attention to the translation. That show has huge names (Tom Hanks, Will Smith, Kevin Hart, etc) that visit them because they want that Latino audience and it works.

Jim charmed them. He did what he had to do.  That link has more views in 24 hours than any other with the same time frame on their You Tube channel.

So again, for the record that was a little offensive. So please be careful or just explain yourself better next time.

Im hispanic and i speak Spanish. I was raised on shows like this, sabago gigante, novelas, and and talk shows like this. They like to over the top, which i understand. I was raised on shows like this, watching along with my abuela. To other ppl it maybe very different.

Jim did not know whats going on. It was very akward. I felt bad for him.

I'm more American than Hispanic, but I grew up around different cultures.  I also speak Spanish fluently. Don't get me wrong, I understand the cheesiness of these shows, which is why I don't agree and don't think he was uncomfortable.  It's just a different setting than we're use to seeing him in.

This is where common sense comes in.  Jim knew what was going to happen. Producers tell their guests ahead of time.  This was filmed over a month ago when he was in Miami.  These things are planned.

Again, I think it's more perspective.  To me, it was a fun interview/segment. And in all honesty, he speaks/understands better Spanish than he's willing to admit.

I had no problem with the video. He starts of trying to get what they're going for, but he's willing to give it a go from the beginning. The only thing that was a tiny bit annoying was the hosts encouraging the audience to respond so much ("OOHHH!"). But Jim took Spanish in school, as I recall, and I think he was kind of proud of himself for understanding what he did, and was asking questions about what he was curious about.

And when he got things right, he was proud of himself, especially at the end.

I love his response the the bathroom phrase. :p

Deb Ranquist made a video for Jim's birthday. just saw it on you tube.  lots of nice photos of Jim included :shy:

Hey thanks, Kelli, for mentioning this.  I was just getting ready to post a link here for anyone who was interested in it.  I appreciate the shout out.  :)

If anyone is interested, here's a link on YouTube for a film for Jim's birthday.  Sorry I didn't get it posted here sooner. Kelli mentioned it though.   Anyway, enjoy!  :)

unfortunately, McDonald's closed down here.................. :(

Where do you live that is Mickey D's less? I live in the boonies and it is like the one thing we have. Also today I told my friend I was having a rough day and she made me a Jim Parsons collage and stuck it on my computer at work, and if that is not true friendship I do not know what is. :)

My apologies for not finishing a more detailed report, but I've been traveling and I'm still very tired. I really hope to finish it some time tomorrow!

I want to be awake when I write it up, so I'm probably going to work on it while I'm at work (shh!). :p

But I did post part of it along with some general summary notes.

More clips added including the Univsion (Spanish lesson) clip and the USA Today clip to Home Tour post.

Thanks for letting us know about all these interviews and clips that can be hard to find, especailly down in New Zealand. I have really enjoyed viewing them all.

A write up about Home in our local Sunday paper quotes director Tim Johnson on choosing Jim to voice Oh.

"I was particularly inspired by how he was when he was on talk shows. says Johnson.  He was just playing himself and was fast and witty and warm. I thought , here's a guy who can make a character, who you might think of as the enemy-he's an alien who might take over Earth- but he's going to make him seem vulnerable and warm."

On watching lots of interviews recently  I can certainly agree.
