Just got back. Such an adorable story!!! So proud of Jim. His voice made the movie. And the character "Oh" you can't help but fall in love with. All the kids loved it and its very wholesome...

Like wholesome enough that hope I Mayim brings her boys to see it and comments on social media (I mean she took them to the Lego Movie and this was just as wholesome)

We saw it today, I took my 7 and 8 year old and they loved it ! It was really really cute, very entertaining, the visuals were stunning, but the best part was Jim, I just love his voice. We lliked how Oh changed color when he had an emotion, we all found him to be sheldonesque but that is a compliment.

I agree about the visuals you could go again just to see all that was going on.  I think it will also do well when it is out on DVD.   Did you see it in 3D?

So it looks like "Home" is going to end up at $102 million globally by the time the weekend is done and the movie is not yet in full release, there are still several markets that don't have release dates until later this week.

From "The Wrap" :   http://www.thewrap.com/cinderella-leads-whopper-week-for-u-s-films-at-overseas-box-office/

"DreamWorks Animation’s family film “Home” followed with $24 million from 65 markets, lifting its international total to $48 million after two weeks. With its $54 million No. 1 debut in North America this weekend factored in, “Home” is up to $102 million globally.

If I didn't have to drive 30 miles to see it, I'd go again too. Is it available for pre-order yet :-)?

I so want the DVD already. I loved listening especially to all of Jim's little vocalizations when Oh is whining or making all his little grunts and noises. He can get so high-pitched!

And I loved the Boov Death Song. :p

It was really interesting seeing it a second time. I also want the soundtrack. It looks like they may originally have had some Christmas songs on there, since it was originally scheduled to be released in November. You can see little touches in the movie, like when Oh and Tip first meet, Oh is sniffing a Christmas wreath air freshener, and when they are first flying over NYC, it looks like there's snow on the ground--and of course, Tip has an unopened Christmas present for her mother.

So at the end, in the credits, it lists songs like Deck The Halls, sung by The Platters, I believe. An early list of the songs on the soundtrack album includes the Christmas songs, and Jim singing the Boov Death Song, but it looks like it's not on the actual soundtrack and neither are the Christmas songs.

I which they'd have kept the Death Song. :p
