It's interesting, I was looking at the schedule for Jim's play.  Up until after the premiere they are not doing Sunday matinees but are doing Monday night shows.  After the premiere, they will do Sunday matinees and no show on Monday.

Normally on Broadway you do a Sunday matinee and you never do a show on Monday night...on Broadway, theater's are "dark" on Mondays.

I don't know if this is common for show's that are in previews, but it does make it possible for other Broadway people to see Jim's play, which I think, is pretty clever.

Anyone else know if this is a common practice?

Interesting, that is a recent change.  This morning the Mondays were dark also.

Someone has a hit on his hands...............

Certain shows run Monday as well e.g Phantom of the Opera.

On another note, the Today show interview says he has 3 days before he goes back to work.  That puts the first taping tentatively at August 11

I don't know if it is common practice but when I was looking at other shows to go to when I am in New York some of those in preview during April did have shows on Mon nights.

I read a comment on Trip Advisor about how slick the show was when it had only been in preview 3 nights.  Considering how little formal rehersal time Jim had in New York after BBT shows how much he had been learning his lines beforehand.  Those cards must be well read.

awww so cute !!

About mother day, yes in France it's 31th May this year, it is not  same date each year. I don't know why. I think it is the last sunday of May each year in France. Today when I saw Mayim's tweet I was afraid to forget to wish to my mother. lol And I have checked.

that is the cutest picture.

hmmm... i have a question: Jim is going to produce and act the series 'I'm special', or he's just producing (with Todd). Because some articles in Spanish say he will act in it too....  :icon_neutral:

The Spanish ones I think are making big assumptions.  He never said he would act in it.   They are likely looking at it being either a summer 2016 or a fall 2016-2017 show....so no, I highly doubt he has plans to be in it.  It is purely a production project and only said he through his Production Company would be Executive Producing it.

It could be that the young man writing it may act in the role, but I doubt even that is likely.  I am sure it will have a casting call go out on it.
