-he likes the unknown and never wants to know anything before a tableread. He did tell the BBT that he was allergic to cats but then he shot with 25 of them.

Well from the scenes he didn't look any close to someone allergic to cats.In fact,I thought he liked cats with the way he pawed (pun unintended) during the scenes.

When they did Zazzy, they asked him before hand about being allergic to cats. He said he was and they told him take Claritin.

He also said said that Todd was the impetus behind moving to LA. It was right before the BBT pilot and he was doing more and more auditions there. Todd told him to have the best chances at getting work and the most exposure he should be there. Then BBT happened and they moved anyway. But they would have moved out there even if that hadn't taken off.

He was asked why he chose the University of Houston for his undergrad and it was because he didn't want to leave Houston and he didn't have the greatest SAT scores.

I can't help but wonder if in the archives of the college there aren't unedited transcripts of the shows.  So many are classics, and if there is so much more raw material (3 hours worth), I think it would be of value to students (and us!).

Oh, and Lipton is obviously very taken with Jim. He was floored by Act of God and kept mentioning what a great education the students in the audience were getting from listening to Jim and they should be taking notes. He also said this was one of the best interviews.

Todd didn't have any guarantee that Jim would have been successful, yet he has supported him since the beginning, because when love is sincere it's also generous and farsighted, I think they are a great example of all this :-)

anyway it must have been amazing to hear a so complete and important interview for people who love Jim, his job and his life. I can only imagine what a special feeling have felt people who were in the Studio!

very happy for you! (.. and just a little jealous!  :p )

some more things I'm remembering of his favorites section:

what other profession would you do if not an actor: Teacher

what profession would you hate to do: Surgeon (human or animal).  This was funny.  He then said a mechanic.  Jim doesn't want to know why things work the way they do, just that they work

What would you like God to say when you arrive at Heaven? Did you see Jim Parsons @ as GOD, isn't he a great guy.

What turns you on? the unknown and passion & doing something different

What turns you off?  Telling the same story over and over (which Jim thinks is ironic as he is doing the same show 8x per week currently)

what I also thought was adorable was how when he crosses his legs he cannot keep his foot still.  He uses his hands a lot, but his foot bounced around a lot.  He was just so damn charming!!!

Sorry its coming in dribbles.  I think between Mamallama and myself, we've covered everything but if I can think of anything else, I will let you know.

Well just watched Jim on The View. Cute interview as usual, though those ladies really are all over the place. He talked about An Act of God and a little about Shamy. He said the he wants to keep working a lot with Mayim so he hopes the break is momentary. He can't imagine that they'd keep those two apart for long.

They asked him about Todd, and if they were going to get married. Jim said he thinks so, but there's no date on the calendar or a ring on the finger (which is kind of a different answer than he usually gives). He did say that he's never had much interest in getting married, but he's gotten more interested in it lately. And no kids for him and Todd, two dogs is enough, lol.

Thanks to you both for reporting back about it and giving us so many details!

I think that one of the things that maybe made Lipton appreciate Jim so much is that he really is attuned to acting as a craft--the way he has talked in other interviews about how you just have to go in and do the role however you see it--like the story he's told about his HIMYM audition--how even if they give you some kind of character description that you feel you might not fit, that you should just do what you think you can do in that role and let them decide if they like it or whatever.

People ask him how he prepares for TBBT and all that, and he always gives real, usefull, practical replies.

I can totally see him as a teacher at some point.  Maybe when he's older, after TBBT, he'll give workshops or classes or something.  Even one of his AAOG co-stars said that watching him is like taking a master class.

Even if he didn't do it regularly, having him come into a theater program somewhere--like at USD or wherever--and do a master class with some of the students would be incredible.

Master classes can be so life-changing for kids in the arts.  No matter how good your teacher(s) are, hearing advice and critique from a new voice, especially someone who has so much to offer, can be invaluable.

Was he on first or was the other guest on first?

It's very interesting that Jim said they would get married at some point. It was not mentioned last night, but then again, there was no pointed question about it. Just the discussion about the trash National Enquirer threw out there and that Jim made his denial through IG. I hope they do get married at some point, they seemed so happy last night, I don't think I've ever seem Jim look so in love or effusive in his comments about Todd before.

Damn, I had a ticket to The View, I got off the wait list, but thought I'd be cutting it too close to my train at Penn. Damn train was 30 mins late. Oh well, I'm so beyond thrilled with what I've gotten this month.

Don't like a particular show that someone you want to see is on? Like Jim being on The View? No problem. My solution? Record it on my DVR and wait until the show is over. Then I can turn it on and fast forward until the person I actually wanted to see comes on.

Well have just come back from the taping of The View to have a coffee and Levain cookie before venturing out into the weather.

Jim was gorgeous my view was blocked a bit by Whoopi and you could not take photos with phones after the interview but could with normal cameras, but only on for a short time and the interview was wasted I think, not much talk about AAoG  The marriage question was interesting in that he said yes, maybe, he would not rule it out.  The point being that marriage was not possible for them so it was not on their agenda but a definate no to children.

Just watched the clip.  The cute bit that was not shown was where he said Todd was probably watching and they showed the picture he was waving at the camera.  It is also funny how he gets a bit lost finding his seat he did it on Fallon as well.

The process was interesting. A door with a number but no instructions.  I was there at 7.15 the first one, then about 8 other dribbled in that had tickets.  About 7.45 someone turned up from the show to split the line into priority and another category.  Said that the don't normally have standbys and I should get out of the rain and come back at  9.30.  I said I didn't want to miss out would she remember.  Went to Starbucks and back at 9.20 to a short line and got a band straight away.  The ones with tickets had to wait in the rain until about 9am.  Interesting experience going to a live show but don't know if I would go to the View again.  Liked Whoopi she was funny in the breaks, she starts filming the Stan in Jan and gave us a copy of Steven Kings new book Finders Keepers, something to read on the plane  home.
