OK,

I think I got it ,although I still find its silly, you know, there are already  a lot of TV shows that only care about personal life's and make idiots questions about silly things. Its mostly the host fault l, of course

I saw the host doing really deep, emotional and brilliant, interviews before, it disappoint me that he would lose time asking things that people can find on gossip magazines' or internet.

Jim only own his success to his own hard work. Todd gave the same support that other people in his life gave, so, I suppose ,his family and other friends should have spoken as well??

"Todd is an angel"

I don't know if you know him in person ,I bet you don't, hating or loving someone that you know nothing about, or hating/loving someone that you don t know nothing about ,just for being gay pr being in a relationship with someone who is famous makes no sense to me...but whatever...AGAIN....My problem is with this situation, I couldn't care less about Jim and Todd life as a couple. Jim has a lot to offer and, in terms of acting, and life and perseverance. Even the question to Todd, could have been more intelligent. If it was another actor/actress, and the same thing happening, I would protest as well...just my opinion. This only indicates to me that the quality of the ITAS interview's are not the so high anymore.

Do you have a problem with Todd?

I don't think you really know what you're talking about. As was explained, Todd and Jim have a production company together and they are developing a series through that production company. How is that gossip magazine material?

A person's personal life is pertinent to their professional life and it doesn't matter if they're gay or straight. Lipton also asked Jim about his father. Is that a "silly thing", too? Why is it "silly" to ask about his personal life? And how is Lipton losing time by asking Todd a question or two?

Yes, of course Jim owes his success to his talent and his hard work, but I dare say he would also credit his success to the support if his family and friends, and also to Todd. They've been together about 12 years, so his support and encouragement is probably fairly significant. That's part of the backstory to Jim's success, I'm sure.

As others have said, Todd's participation was only a few minutes out of 3-4 hours. How is that wasting time?

Do you have a problem with Todd?

Why would I have??I don t know anything about him.

Did you even read all that I wrote?

Its my opinion. I think asking about marriage, and silly personal life stuff is stupid

AGAIN

If the information has some deep, intelligent ,important ,relevant lesson, that can add something in this students life, no matter if it is about personal life and his story, or about acting techniques, I'm cool.

And I'm gay(before any insane accusations ,happy in my relationship), but I'm also realistic, I don t see the point on asking Todd something silly, and also ,even being silly, something that could have been answered by Jim. Jim was the one being interviewed as far as I know.

The day someone decide to make an interview with Todd, about his job(designeru, right?) and career story , I will also see no sense in bringing up Jim and personal life stuff....

The focus of the interviewers on actors studio has was been on career, professional ,even philosophic thoughts about life, deep feelings of the actor.

I don t know anything about Todd, I love Jim as an actor .I can t love or hate someone I don t Know ,I'm supposed to be a brown nose only because he is Jim's partner??How old are you? I don t like, I don ' t hate, I simply don t care about him as I don t care about any boyfriend or girlfriend about some actor/singer that I'm a fan, because I DON T KNOW THESE PEOPLE.

Andymajim2 I dont understand your problem. Maybe was 3 or 4 minutes of 3 hours... ask for his father is stupid, too? And this is not only for students... is for all people.

I respect your opinion but I dont know why is silly ask these things... and they have Wonderful Productions together... its logical for me. Haha

Well, never mind, I want to see the interview!! I think it can be the better interview of Jim!!

Ok, let's go through this again...

1. Welcome to the JIM PARSONS fan forum. You are more than welcome to stay and express your opinion, that's what makes life interesting, right? But, do expect some flack - which should be respectful, as well, if you diss Todd.

2. You miss the point completely of ITAS. It's about the actor, their struggles to become a known entity, how they work to stay on top and grow within their craft. This also includes outside influences, such as family and friends. Todd was/is a HUGE part of Jim's success with his support. Who knows, maybe Jim would have said I can't make it in this business if his partner didn't support him when he was starting out and really struggling. Remember, I said the entire taping was 3.5 hrs, with the discussion with Todd being about 20 mins of that, the final product is currently slated for 1 hr. It will not include the entire Todd Q and A. Jim talked about his parents support, especially his late father, was he not supposed to mention them? Don't be silly about other friends and family speaking, now you're just projecting. Don't you think if mama Parsons had been there she would have been asked to speak, too?

3. So, you've seen the final ITAS product before. Yup, most of us have, too. However, have you been to the taping of one? Until you see the final product and how much, or little, or which parts they keep of the Todd stuff, and there will be Todd stuff as the episode description even mentions it, you probably should reserve your comments until then. There was plenty of discussion regarding their production company and Todd's role in it, as well as their relationship, in general. You know, if they were ever so hard up to create a series called "Inside the Electrical Engineers Studio" and I was selected to be interviewed, you'd be darn tootin' that my husband would be there and we'd speak about his support of me while I was finishing both my degrees and bouncing ideas off of him when I was doing design (he's an EE, too). My ability is mine alone, but my family is my support system and I give them credit, too, for helping me succeed in my field and in my life.

4. Nope, a lot of what we learned about Todd, their relationship and his now exclusive role in their production company has never been in a magazine or interview before.

5. You are right, we don't know Todd, but, you know what, we don't know Jim, either....much to my dismay.

So, in summation, please wait until you see the edited version before you pass judgement. And, yes, go back and watch some older ITAS interviews to refresh yourself with the topics they touch on.

If you're going to quote me, then hit "quote" and quote me. Otherwise, there's a chance I would have never seen your response.

Normally, I'd say absolutely not; my opinion is no more right or wrong than yours. In this case, however, I do think you're in the wrong.

The tone in here is generally positive; I visit here frequently (too frequently [emoji5]), and can't remember the last time two or more members got into any sort of noteworthy argument. But then you come in, stir up some negativity by dissing a very important person in Jim's life, and wonder why you're essentially being "downvoted" by strangers.

Bring the negativity elsewhere. Create a separate "Does anyone else think Todd shouldn't have been interviewed during Jim's ITAS session?" thread, and maybe you'll have one or two people hop on that bandwagon. Probably not, though.

Ok, I'm done. Sorry for lowering food down to the troll, guys. [emoji17]

Truth, we don't know Jim personally, but Todd has been with him thru no fame at all till now says a lot about him. We are just now getting to know Todd. Todd is part of Jim's life. Just like any celebrity couple, we are interested. Tbh, I'm more interested in his growing up and yes his love life. Edited by Shamyfan

Well, I was right. I DID miss Jim and thank you to everyone who posted while I was gone!

:icon_biggrin: I am glad to be back!

I can't wait to see ITAS and hear all the wonderful stuff he had to say about his career and family and Todd. (Though I am afraid I might start crying. Just a hunch.)

While in Texas I picked up one of the tabloid magazines my mom reads (sorry but she buys them by the stack and I don't know which one it was) and there was a picture of Jim walking Otis and Rufus in New York! I feel guilty for having gotten excited about it because I don't normally approve of paparazzi pictures but it was surprising and nice to see him there.

Broadway World's Editor-In-Chief, Robert Diamond, has been live-blogging the Tony Awards rehearsal this morning.

Jim will be presenting Best Featured Actress in a Play with Taylor Schilling (she plays Piper in Orange is the New Black).  Jim was NOT at rehearsal.

"10:17 - Taylor Schilling and a stand-in for Jim Parsons are here now to present Best Featured Actress in a Play"

There's Jimmy!

Looking a little stiff and serious...

He was quirking a little smile after his first little bit, though.

I was kind of hoping they'd make some little joke about his current role, but the presenters seem to be pretty much all business.

Okay, now I can go make dinner. :p

Jim signing this afternoon...long day for him.....matinee this afternoon and then The Tony Awards presentation tonight.  I wonder if he went home between the show and the Tonys or got ready at Studio 54? Security guys hovering this afternoon threw on some jackets and a fancy car is standing by...Studio 54 is much closer to RCMH than his home in NYC so considering traffic, it might have made sense to prep there?

I'm not covering the #tonys, but I did happen upon#jimparsons while driving past his #broadway show stage door.

There is a cute video snippet on IG of him coming out to sign this afternoon and someone has a Harvey Playbill (my guess) and when he see's it he sighs, happily, "Oh Harvey"
