I have been going through my photos on New York, thinking about the show  and was wondering if there was ever a time when there was not someone coming in late for AAoG so they couldn't use the Patti Lu Pone joke.  Not being aware of her I finally got around to "googling" her to see why they used the reference and found out how topical this and the cellphone jokes were.  Despite the link below they have been in the show from the start an d are very funny

Broadway’s ‘An Act of God’ Turns a Profit with Jim Parsons

An Act of God,” the Broadway comedy that stars Emmy winner Jim Parsons, has swiftly made it into the black — ensuring that much of the revenue from the show’s final three weeks will count as profit.

According to producer Jeffrey Finn, “Act of God” earned back its $2.9 million capitalization costs in the 10 weeks since the limited engagement began performances May 7. The show’s quick success comes as a surprise to no one, since sales had been strong from the beginning, and were bolstered by largely favorable reviews following the May 28 opening.

Jim is so lucky and successful and everyone just loves him.  I wish a had his good fortune (my is down as of late). I swear if he wins a fifth Emmy, I will make it my life's goal to know what is the secret to his success.

I'm showing my age here, but it kind of reminds me of Space Invaders (the old video game).  We'll just have to stare at his chest until we figure it out :scratchhead:

Another picture from this afternoon...this girl is us...

icantseemtofindmolly_But then the truly amazing moment came!! Touching distance

I can't post from IG here at work, but there are a few lovely pics of Jim walking around in long black shorts (beautiful legs...) and that Puma jacket, and I guess Todd was with him, at least at some point, because there are a few of them together.

the only explanation i can find for it is that if Jim was nominated, he was going to be a the winner for sure- because imo there's just almost no competition... - so the only way for another actor to win was not having Jim nominated LOL nah, i really don't know why, but it doesn't bother me much tbh... he has 4 and nobody can say he didn't deserve each and one of them... and i'm thinking maybe, maaaaybe Jim doesn't care either :cheese:

I so agree!  He is the best  PERIOD.

On on another note. Has he completely given up IG. Not even seeing him liking pics. I really miss last summer. Sigh!

Andy-90s, I so agree with you.  At first, I was so upset.  Then, I remembered what Jim has said a couple of times about a favorite lesson from a teacher:   "if someone else wins, it in no way means that you lose."  I think that's where he stands right now.  I was upset primarily because I love his success, love that his career has blossomed.  It always makes me feel better just knowing a person I admire so much is appreciated.  I want the best for him.  I think we all do.  So, we move on.

My guess is that he is so busy giving this unbelievable performance in AN ACT OF GOD that he has no time to worry about Emmy nominations. And if he does, there are hundreds of us here on this forum who are more than willing to console him.
