vonmar
Looks like Jim went and saw the play "Dada Woof Papa Hot" at The Lincoln Center Theater last night. John Benjamin Hickey and Patrick Breen are both part of the cast. They were both in The Normal Heart (play) with Jim. Scott Ellis is directing the this play, he directed Jim in Harvey. rodrigoonieI love NY !! I'm not sure, cause been away from IG all day but just to be sure... Sorry! Jim with glasses look ridiculously adorable. Can't wait to see him at PCA. I think that is going to be his first appearence of 2016, if i'm correct. Edited January 2, 2016 by Andy_90's_generation

I didn't see any crazy fan comments on the posts he put with Jim on I think it might have something to do with all the people re-posting the picture of Jim with his son. It's got to be disconcerting to have your young child's picture plastered all over the internet. He and his wife post family pictures all the time, he posts one with his son and Jim (the child's godfather) and bam...it's everywhere. It's too bad. Sometimes people just don't respect boundaries, like not re-posting pictures of children without their parent's permission. Just my take on it. stardustmelody
I was struck at how short it was. Not much longer than the promo (maybe about another 1 min longer is all, if that.) I am sure the actual reading was longer, but they sure edited out a lot to fit into the time slot. She had far too many celebrities covered in one show that none of them had much time on air. But it seemed like she just arrived at the theatre and then got up to leave within nothing flat. I felt Julie was more emotional than Jim. For most of it he was pretty calm, but did get emotional just at the end when talking about his director friend that passed away. Other than that he was pretty calm. But Julie definitely was emotional. I just wish it could have been longer. Everything they talked about in the episode was pretty much easy to research and find online (about the director's death, her birth months for her kids, anniversary month for parents, etc.). I suspect a lot of what she covered on air was all public record information, but she did encourage both with her "personal touch" statements from their "father". I just hope they got out of it what they hoped to gain.

Does anyone know the name of the director? I thought I knew it, but can't recall.

No, but it would not be that hard to learn that information about dedicating a performance....it may have even been in the program from the night of the performance he talked about, but she also interviews other people in the family often when prepping for a show, so someone else may have mentioned that to her. Bottom line is those medium people are typically good listeners and good researchers of information. And you notice she asked the questions all the time, they were the ones giving her information. If you are careful you realize that all the information given is typically found through listening, looking around the house at photos (when she does those in a house), and through good research. I didn't feel she brought anything to the table, but as long as Jim and Julie felt they got encouragement through her, who am I to question their choice? I just feel that mediums in general are hockum. But if they are pleased with their reading, then I am happy for them. Not sure on the director...maybe Roger Rees? I think he passed away around then and was pretty famous, especially in Broadway circles and at Roundabout.

But, as you say, what matters is that the family--very intelligent people--felt it was of use.

If i'm correct, he never won until now. he has been nominated forever, but there was always the kids from Glee, and others... same with the SAG, i hope this is his year. I find no reasons for his pairs to not give him at least one SAG award before BBT ends.
