So glad that they took some vacation time for themselves.

JP...the invisible man..there and back, without a whisper as to where he was....I hope he gets to continue enjoy trips like this.  Lovely of him to share this with us.

Yeah it's not hard for celebs to lead quiet lives, he didn't reveal that he was there until after he was already back in LA and at work, smart!

It's a shame so many of actors when they're just starting out feel the need to invite the paps into their lives cus once you start telling them where you are it is very hard to get rid of them! :(

I'm glad Jim and Todd managed to get away under anyone's radar but a few days ago, I noticed some girl posted a comment under Jim's  hummingbird instagram photo that her boyfriend was staying at the same hotel as Jim and "would love it if Jim said hello to him".  Just so Jim would recognize him, she said he was 17 and 5'9 and would be wearing sunglasses.  In additional to giving such "great clues" about how Jim could recognize her boyfriend, it's just sad that she had to post in a public forum his whereabouts when all the guy is trying to do is enjoy some privacy.

The actor gives his best guess on how many ‘Bazinga!’s his character’s uttered in all these episodes.

"Graphic Sex with Sheldon Cooper!"

I saw that Instagram post as well.  On the same day, people were wondering online about where Jim was.  I thought to myself that I wouldn't say what I'd read--that they needed to be left alone.  I agree with you.

Jim Parsons on ‘Big Bang Theory’s’ Future, Why He Relishes Sheldon’s Obliviousness

In the world of scripted television, reaching 200 episodes is a milestone achieved by only an elite breed of series – enduring classics like “The Simpsons,” “Gunsmoke,” “CSI,” “M*A*S*H” and “Cheers.” “The Big Bang Theory” now joins that rarefied club, a distinction that would most certainly go to the head of its ambitious, obsessively numbers-minded physicist Sheldon Cooper.

But for the actor who plays him, Jim Parsons, the landmark is a moment for reflection on an ever-ascending creative ride that has led him to achieve top ratings in the nine-season run as one of the most singularly unique sitcom characters in recent memory, to earn one of the most enviable salaries on network TV and to collect a mantle full of trophies for his performance, including four Primetime Emmy Awards. Parsons joined Variety for a look back on how the bang kept getting bigger and bigger......

The Big Bang Theory

Love this interview. I hope Jim wins many more awards even after TBBT is over .

I used to respect Jim during interviews, but I got a little sick and cried at (Glamour 00:49 and 1:01).  This is why I worry about the damage to characters because even the perceived "captain" can envision other plot lines.  He gives the appearance of liking "Shamy", but is he only taunting viewers because he might not actually feel that way, but doesn't want to come across as the bad guy?

Also, during the Conan interview, Jim seems to have lost the genuine and humble charm and confidence from so many earlier interviews (ComicCon, Craig Ferguson, SAG, old PaleyFest) and almost replaced it with an obnoxious arrogance.  He is dismissive of even fundamental physics (Conan 27:30, 28:30, 28:50), but in early show interviews, he would admit to learning helpful words for crossword puzzles or researching the material in his lines.  I don't expect him to learn physics as an actor, but he seemed to have a better appreciation for education and science and their potential years ago.  I am curious to see his behavior during PaleyFest 2016, and while I will always respect Jim's prior acting performances, I am conflicted about most recent interview behavior (almost like a midlife crisis vibe).

On a positive note, I absolutely adored how Kunal pronounced "vitamin" in the Conan (27:52) interview.

I don't see a difference in him tbh. He always said he knew nothing about science since day one. Every interview I saw of him he's always repeating that he's totally ignorant about science and "nerdy stuff". About the show I think it's possible and totally normal that he likes multiple things. That's nothing bad about it. He chose an heavy Shamy episode as his favorite (I mean the episodes aired before Conan) and during the red carpet for the 200th he said that his favorite moments from the show are Sheldon and Penny scenes. And that he was glad to have another "intimate" scene with Penny on the 200th because he always loved their scenes. Kaley chose a Sheldon/Penny moment as well as her favorite. I actually understand his point of view because I love both relationships.  I think he appreciates the roles both women have in Sheldon's life.

The question was about secret one-night-stands. You can't have a one-night-stand with someone you're in the middle of a relationship with, so he couldn't have said Amy. That would be like Kaley saying she'd like Penny to have a one-night-stand with Leonard, or Melissa answering with Howard. They didn't, they all answered with someone their character isn't in a relationship with.

there is also a difference (not that i know him or anything, but from what i perceive) with jim giving a thoughtful and serious answer, ie, when talking the first years at comic con and other interviews about his character and how he deals with the 'science stuff'; and jim just bantering around and making quick jokes. Conan is not exactly a show to be giving deep and complex answers to the questions, they were fooling around...

But, is true too that he's not forced to genuinely 'like' what he's doing, it's his job as an actor to pretend, to play Sheldon. if jim personally hates science- i'm taking it to an extreme, of course- or has another ideas for his character in his mind(not that he has them, he clearly loves the shamy), he's free to have them and to feel that way. I don't feel comfortable at all with this thing of demanding to an actor/actress to be one way or another when they are not working.

that's what i think of all this.

Could be. Typecast, sadly he already is. He said it, nothing to do there but to keep working... If i think how would i feel being asked the same questions over n over again for a decade? I wouldn't even answer... I do feel he was acting for a couple of laughs at conan, nothing more.

It was a completely different interview  from the kind of interviews you generally have in a late night show. Jim himself acknowledged that at the beginning of that event (BTW, that is one of my favourite Jim's interviews). He said that, even if he always likes  being guest in Late Night shows, he was very glad to answers some hard-core fans questions, questions from people who actually watches TBBT. So in that interview I guess he gave more "serious" answers because the people asking those questions were expecting  him to be "serious" about the show. At Conan last night he was just having fun with the rest of the cast.
