Jim Parsons

Recommended Posts

I remember an interview JP did in 2010 where he was asked what sort of role he would like to do in the theater.  He said he dreamed of helping a writer bring new material to the stage, since he could probably help "put butts in seats".  So, AAOG definitely checked one of his boxes on his short list.  And, he certainly put butts into the seats.

The quote is in Part 6, around the 3:50 - 4:20 mark.

Can't wait for this film (and not even because Jim is in it, but because of the story...he is icing on the cake!) :girlwink:

Agree, I'm waiting for the book to come out.  I imagine Jims part will be small but always great to see him another role.

Belated congrats to JP, David Javerbaum and the cast and crew of An Act of God  for winning the Audience Choice Award for the last Broadway season(2015-16)- Favorite Play and Favorite Leading Actor in a Play.

Lovely that he shared this.  From a crew member post on IG, it looks like they will wrap up filming this coming Tuesday.

According to IMDB, they are aiming for a January 13, 2017 release date.  If they are looking for any 2016 Oscar consideration, they will have to do a limited release no later than December 31, 2016, otherwise they wouldn't be in play until the 2017 Oscars.  It will be interesting to see how their scheduling plays out down the line.

Page counts mean the world to us, you know.  Now we seem like failures when talking about Jim. :p
