I could pick it all up, but yes, normally Jim finishes his words so beautifully and here he was dropping some endings.  In particular, when he was saying "memorizing" lines, he only spoke part of the word.  Funny story about trying to memorize for the show while watching football and being supersticious that he needed to memorize well for the team to win.  Then, JJ comes out and asks what happened during the playoffs?  Jim says, maybe we were on hiatus?  Very funny.

Also, Jim told Dan Patrick during an interview on that show that he had JJ Watt's e-mail on his cell phone, but not his phone number.  Also, they had never met.  Since Jim is from Houston, and such a football fan, this pairing tonight on Jimmy Fallon was surely planned to please Jim, as well as JJ and us.

Jim talked lot, and really fast  ! Like he is in an Aaron Sorkin movie haha.  Jimmy couldn't get a word in  Lol.  even in TBBT group interviews , Jim or perhaps Kaley, talk the most, and Kunal talks a lot too, whereas Mayim, Johnny, Simon and Melissa seem quite compared to those 3.

It was not shown on camera so harder to hear, but as Jimmy and Jim were bantering about whether JJ's letter in the shoebox was an original or not, Jim finally apologized to JJ about answering for him.  The embarrassed look on JJ's face with his cheeks puffed out was really funny.

In real life, Jim and Jimmy are friends and their apartment buildings (in NYC) are next door to each other.

Ellen Barkin was scheduled to appear last night, but for some reason had to cancel....so Jim ended up being a last minute replacement.   I think it was pretty easy for Jimmy to talk Jim into appearing in her place, considering JJ Watt was the other scheduled guest.  He's done favors for Jimmy before, like when he appeared in the Password segment with Emma Thompson and Michael Cera.

Jim usually only does talk shows when he has something to promote, so it was nice that he stepped in and helped out a friend.  He was delightful to watch.

Zap2It covered his appearance...Their Tweet summoned it up for me.

Thank you for the explanation, vonmar.  I did notice that JJ Watt was promoting his shoes, while Jim was just there to chat.  He looks like he is having a much more relaxing summer this year compared to having those voice issues last summer during AAOG.

Have to wait until Mon night to watch the show in full but the you tube clips were great.  Jim was funny and seemed very relaxed.  For someone not working this summer it is fantastic that we keep getting little peeks of him on various shows.  Looking forward to him co-hosting with Kelly.

@vonmar totally agree.  I told him stick with IG.  Snapchat is too difficult for this old person.

I hear you...I think that Jimmy Fallon may have talked it up to him on Friday night, so maybe he's just playing with it tonight.

I like this story about coming out and acceptance from Jim's IG- in the light of recent tragic events. You can also read it on CBS news.

That was really lovely. They also did a series of articles over at Mayim's GrokNation for anyone who's interested: http://groknation.com/culture/pride-2016-special-issue-groknation/

These kind of stories are great! It´s so great to see that nowadays, people are not afraid to talk about their sexual orientation, especially after the events in Orlando. Even the actual pope seems to tolerate homosexuality more than any other pope before him. I see it as a good sign, that this all leads to a society, where variety, acceptance and uniqueness of every human being is absolutely natural and not something outrageous.

Has anyone ever seen "The Normal Heart"? It´s a sad but beautiful film.

It looks like Jim's purpose for Summer 2016 is to let kids know where he is, LOL!

It´s so sweet of Jim and Mayim that they feed us with videos and fotos of them, to help us to survive the summer hiatus!

They deserve a :air_kiss: and a hug. (But I guess if I had the chance I would be glued to Jim, not wanting to let him go. LOL)

Or he could leave us his phone number, to track him, so we always know where he is. :icon_cheesygrin:

Extract from my personal fictive Jim journal:

1.45 a.m. (in my time zone) Jim is at home, according to the tracking signal.

1. 55 a.m. (IMTZ) He´s still at home.

2.00 a.m. (IMTZ) Still at home.  Maybe I should try to sleep.

8.45 a. m. (IMTZ) OMG I lost his track, where is he!???

8.55 a.m. (IMTZ) Tried to call Homeland Security, FBI and any special forces, but they all told me to calm down and get some sleep.

11.00 a.m. (IMTZ) Receiving a message from Jim with the following text: "Just landed in L.A. I appreciate your efforts to find me, but please....

Stop tracking me and get some sleep!!!"

Oh I've seen that movie. Jim got his 7th Emmy nomination for it too. Similar to movies like Milk (with Sean Penn) and Brokeback Mountain ...sad but beautiful.

I loved "The Normal Heart" was well. But it was soooo sad, omg. Idk if I can watch it again unless I'm in the mood for crying myself to sleep or something.

If we're talking LGBTQ movies I can recommend "Pride", a British movie from 2014. It hits some serious notes but is overall a lot of fun! <3

Oh, that´s interesting I didn´t know that! Brokeback Mountain is so good, I don´t know the movie Milk, but if Sean Penn plays a role in it, I have to watch it. (He´s sexy!) Another good one is "Before Night Falls". It´s based on the life of the Cuban homosexual author Reinaldo Arenas who was arrested because the Cuban goverment  didn´t like his books nor did they like the fact that he was homosexual. They even forbid his books in Cuba. ( He was portrayed by the outstanding Javier Bardem, if you don´t know him watch "The Sea Inside", I get goose pimples every time I see it, but the majority know him from "Skyfall")

I know, the whole movie I was praying that Jim was not going to die of AIDS, it was hard enough to see the others die, but I couldn´t stand to see him die.

I will have to put "Pride" on my list of films I have to watch as well.

I always enjoy a good movie that makes me laugh.

Speaking of Jim Parsons, in "The Normal Heart" he never kissed or touched any men in a intimate way, at least not like the others did, I wonder if this was just coincidence or if they really didn´t want him to do it or if he didn´t want to do it. Maybe he likes to play the restrained homosexual, that doesn´t throw himself into the arms of another man, I don´t know.

I was wondering that, too.
You know, he kissed Mayim, but small kisses... I'm curious about that. ¿Would he dare to kiss someone else? Woman or man.

Well, if that's the case here are some more:

My feel good movie threesome of LGBTQ related comedies from the 90s: "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert", "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar" and "The Birdcage". Those movies are all 20+ years old by now so keep in mind they're a product of their time (and for some reason drag was all the rage back then lol) but they have a lot of heart and fun characters.

A bit more recent is "I love you Philip Morris" based on a true story but naturally exaggerated for comedic effect.

And not exactly comedy nor a movie but if anyone is into sci-fi and likes JMS (Babylon 5) and/or the Wachowskis (Matrix etc.) they made a Netflix show together that has some great LGBTQ representation as well called "Sense8". So far S1 is out and they're filming S2. They plan for 5 seasons in total, I hope they get them! <3

I think with Tommy specifically there was the suggestion that he had a crush on Ned (Mark Ruffalo's character)??? I don't know how it was in the play but I've seen some people say it was more obvious then. So I guess it's just a part of the character.

And the same can probably be said about many of Jim's other roles. He hasn't exactly been cast as some sort of romantic lead in anything. The question being of course if that's his choice or if there just haven't been that kind of roles being offered to him. I can imagine having to fit any project into his TBBT schedule might not help things either way.
