vonmar
From TV Insider SuperMansion's Heroes Wage a War on Christmas in New Crackle Special From the article....co-creator Matthew Senreich..... Parsons is at his manic best as Mr. Skibumpers......"When we wrote this character we had his voice in mind and we really didn't think he would do it," says Senreich. "We were pleasantly surprised when we went out, that he was excited. When he came in, there's a reason he's the highest-paid actor on television. You're like, 'Holy cow, you are overly talented.' He can do whatever you want, you can make adjustments on the fly, he can improv in ways that you don't even expect. It's a wonderful experience. It just makes you want to think of more things to do with him."

This is interesting....Hidden Figures director Ted Melfi tweeted out the same Christmas Day release schedule that Jim posted to his IG. I sent him a Tweet asking if there was going to be a red carpet premiere in either LA or NYC. He (to my surprise) Tweeted me back saying that it would be on Saturday (12/10) in NYC. The embargo on reviews of a movie are lifted after it officially premiers and Gold Derby is reporting that the Hidden Figures review embargo lifts on 12/10. Several of Hidden Figures's cast members are already in NYC doing promotion for the movie (Henson, Spencer, Costner). I imagine that Jim would fly to NYC on Friday or early Saturday, if he plans on attending the premiere and then turn around and fly right back to LA late Saturday or early Sunday to appear at The Critic's Choice Awards. The event you refer to was a special screening for NASA employees and the family of the three women portrayed in the film. Octavia Spencer and Ted Melfi were the only ones associated with the film that appeared. If I misunderstood your post, I apologize. The event I referred to on Saturday is supposed to be the full blown Hollywood type of red carpet premiere.

Loved it - loved the tone and especially loved hearing Jim get to banter with Bryan Cranston (I'll pretend to myself that they actually recorded together) and deliver some decidedly un-Sheldon lines (personal favorite: "F*ck you! Rex - we were at the beach. There were seagulls everywhere!" ) Here's hoping that the Supermansion team and Jim can hook up again to keep it going. Meanwhile, I will silently bang my head on my desk as I contemplate that I just moved from a city where Hidden Figures will open on Christmas to one where I'm waiting until January. vonmar
From People Hidden Figures Stars Kevin Costner, Jim Parsons and Glen Powell Open Up About Death of John Glenn For the stars of Hidden Figures, the death of hero astronaut John Glenn makes the film all the more meaningful. <snip> Jim Parsons, who plays Paul Stafford, said receiving the news of Glenn’s death while promoting such a movie was a “slap in the face.” “I would’ve been saddened and surprised no matter when the news came out,” Parsons told PEOPLE at the event. “But it’s a little ironic for him to pass away just within days of us doing all this stuff for this movie that’s introducing three new faces of the space movement that we’ve never known of before.” He continued: “The beauty of it is that man, John Glenn, that man who just passed away, has, for our lifetime, been such the face — or at least a face — of NASA and the space movement. He was such an integral part of bringing someone like Katherine Johnson into the room.”

Seemed to indicate once again if he had his way he would be doing it for a few more years yet with the imagine perhaps still doing the show nearing 50 reference (though that was a bit vague). Way too many variables involved to consider in regards to a new deal but I do consider it a positive that publicly anyway it sounds like he wants to keep doing it. At the end of the day I can only take his word for it until I see him saying something different.
