I have just seen "Hidden Figures" and I highly recommend it because I  loved it very much! It 's such an  inspiring and well performed story, the cast is realy great, there were impressive performances like Janelle , Costner and Octavia's. Jim's role is nice , his character in "Normal heart" was more impressive tbh but I really enjoyed how his character 's impact on story grew until the end of the movie and  it also had an nice final touch. Looking foward to seeing Jim in more films :)

One of the best films I have seen lately in theatre. It' s inspiring, emotional , funny in some scenes, harsh enough in differences between white and colored people scenes ( I mean it is not too violent to see). A film everyone should give a try to see :)

I signed up for a thirty day free trial from Sirius Radio. I won't get to hear all six of his shows but I have heard the first three. He is extremely earnest in his search for knowledge. He of course researches the topics he plans to discuss and the hour flows smoothly and quickly. If I understood correctly he will not be live this coming Friday due to filming issues elsewhere. Incidentally his voice is even more rich on the radio.!

That just makes me want to listen to it even more. sigh

I thought about signing up for the trial as well but I couldn't find a way to do this from Europe, especially not without a credit card. :C

I wonder what he is filming...TBBT cast starts a 1 week hiatus on Wednesday.

He did not specify. Only that he had a filming commitment and would not be live next week. He also did not clarify if his radio show would air as a pretap d show. It was all said pretty quickly as he was wrapping up the show.

Just came back from the cinema, watching Hidden Figures. Loved the film so much! The cast is really charming - the leading ladies had me in heart eyes mode the whole time. Give them all the awards! <3

I thought Jim did a great job given how small his role was and that his character has some fundamental similarities with Sheldon (maths genius with a big ego). I found his performance very restrained which was a nice contrast to what he does on TBBT and helped to make his character more distinctive despite the aforementioned similarities.

Anyway, 10/10 from me. Go watch if you want to have a feel good time at the movies!

Saw the movie this Sunday as well.  Great film.  Jim was in it more than I thought he would be.  Love the way he can convey what he is thinking with a look.  Glad that this story has been told, the book was also interesting to read.

From Entertainment Weekly

Hidden Figures passes La La Land as 2016's top-grossing Oscar contender

Hidden Figures‘ success story keeps getting sweeter.

As final weekend box office totals pour in, the Theodore Melfi-directed film, about three black mathematicians (Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monáe) driving NASA’s position in the Space Race amid racial segregation in 1960s Virginia, has surpassed best picture frontrunner La La Land to become the top-grossing best picture Oscar nominee of the year.

Initially projected to have earned $10.1 million and $7.5 million, respectively, weekend actuals for Hidden Figures and La La Land amount to $10.2 million and $7.4 million. Thus far, Hidden Figures has made $119.5 million in North America, while La La Land‘s tally clocks in at $118.2 million. To date, this year’s best picture nominees have collectively grossed around $570 million from U.S. and Canadian theaters, with the aforementioned titles being the only two to have bagged more than $100 million.

when will be know if Jim will be at the Oscars? or that's something that we know, the day of the ceremony?

The Academy has started announcing presenters, but no word on attendees yet.

Even if we don't get a hint from Jim on IG, we should see attendee information in the Hollywood trade papers as we get closer to the ceremony date (2/26)
