Other celebrity co-chairs were no-shows, Justin Timberlake/Jessica Biel and Julia Roberts/Danny Moder and Jeffrey/Marilyn Katzenberg. The point of the event is to honor student activists and the adults that champion them. My guess is that they may have backed off from being a "celebrity focused" event and focus more on the people that GLSEN serves. They had some wonderful surprise guests and the response online has been nothing but positive. I expect that Jim and Todd will continue to support this organization. 2

Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons has come aboard to topline Brother Orange, Warner Bros. and BuzzFeed Films’ big-screen telling of the internet phenomenon, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Parsons will also produce with Todd Spiewak through the duo's That's Wonderful Productions banner, joining producers Michael Shamberg and Matthew Henick, head of development at BuzzFeed Motion Pictures. Parsons will play BuzzFeed editor Matt Stopera, who in 2014 had his iPhone stolen. Unbeknownst to him, the cellphone made its way to China and, a year later, random pictures began appearing on his photo stream, including a number of pictures of a serious-looking man in front of an orange tree. The editor did a series of stories about the incident, and the story went viral in China, exploding on social platform Weibo with more than 20 million views in 24 hours and over 100 million total shares. There, the online community dubbed the man Li Hongjun ("Brother Orange") and helped Stopera track him down. Stopera eventually sought out Hongjun in China, with both becoming overnight celebrities. Back in the U.S., the two appeared on Ellen. From The New York Times At BuzzFeed, a Pivot to Movies and Television <snip> One of Mr. Henick’s first big deals was with Warner Bros. to make a movie out of a series of posts by the BuzzFeed staff member Matt Stopera on his travels through China in search of his lost iPhone. With the working title “Brother Orange,” it may go into production in China next year, Mr. Henick said, around the time when he and his wife, Alaina Killoch, 35, are expecting their first child. “I’ll have to go out there for a good chunk of time if the movie gets made, which may not time well with the baby,” Mr. Henick said. Jim Parsons, a star of the CBS sitcom “The Big Bang Theory,” has signed on to play the lead. Su Liang, a screenwriter of the 2015 Chinese action-comedy blockbuster “Lost in Hong Kong,” is at work on the script. Here's a clip from the episode Finally got to watch the full interview. Jim talking about having to protect his dogs from coyotes and bobcats when they are in the yard. That's scary. Loved his full on fanboy of the Astros pitcher Justin Verlander who also trains with Ben Bruno. Supermodel Kate Upton is Justin's fiance and she also trains with Ben.
