Did you guys get to watch the today show ? I'm in Scotland so obviously can't watch ! Just wondered if Jim was there or if they mentioned his injury ? I read on IG he apparently has a small fracture - but can't find anything about that online myself so I'm not sure whether or not that's correct - poor Jim !

Jim was not present for the Today Show interview, but his cast mates said he was recovering and will hopefully be back shortly.

So was Jim there tonight? I can't find anything about it. This is the mistery of the summer! lol

He's back with a boot on his foot and a cane to help him around the stage.

Jim and Director Joe Mantello greeted the audience prior to tonight's performance.

And yes you can record anything that happens before a performance begins or after a performance ends, you just can't film the show.

Wednesdays are two show days on Broadway.  TBITB have a 2 pm show and a 7 pm show today.  Apparently Jim wasn't in the 2 pm show.

He's probably skipping the matinees for a while.

Week three Broadway grosses for TBITB..

The new boys in town have proven themselves to be popular on the boards. The Broadway production of The Boys in the Band grossed $1,035,583—108.21 percent of its potential—over eight performances in the week ending May 20.

The boost follows a seven-show week the week prior, the result of an on-stage injury sustained by Jim Parsons, who has since returned to the show. The all-star cast also features Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer, Andrew Rannells, Tuc Watkins, and Robin De Jesús.

‘A Kid Like Jake’: Jim Parsons, Claire Danes Talk Making ‘Honest’ and ‘Relatable’ Story About Young Trans Identity

What if your 4-year-old son would rather dress up as Rapunzel than a pirate for Halloween or prefers playing with a Cinderella figurine than G.I. Joe? These are questions confronting a married couple played by Jim Parsons and Claire Danes in the IFC Films drama “A Kid Like Jake.”

The picture — out June 1 — centers on how the parents learn to respond to their gender-questioning kid and whether they should conform their child to traditional gender norms as they enroll him in kindergarten.

“The beauty of this movie is it takes a topic that talks about transgender issues and doesn’t give the audience any strong conclusions about what’s right or wrong,” Parsons told Variety at the film’s New York premiere on Monday held at the Landmark 57 West Theater. “What the movie does is grounds it in a situation that people can identity with. You don’t have to have this specific issue in your life, but it shows a family dealing with raising a young person and having honest arguments and conversations and fumbling — just like all humans do.”

Hey everybody! Just wondering what the MPAA rating is for A Kid Like Jake is because I know it’s about a touchy subject matter...I still want to see Jim in it so bad.:( I want to see him in that “dad” type role. It will be interesting to see!:)  I know they said it will be released in select theaters June 1st but what about digitally(specifically iTunes)? I know when Octavia Spencer was on Live with Kelly and Ryan, they mentioned a digital release.  I didn’t see it when I searched it on iTunes. I guess there’s no preorder for it.:(
