Final curtain call for The Boys In The Band...

It was great this was when they all came out for a second bow. They all came out to the stage door as well. Not sure how Jim managed when his foot was broken he moves around the set a lot.

‘Pretty Woman’ & ‘Boys In The Band’ Break House Records As Broadway Box Office Hits $37M

Bidding adieu to the street on Aug. 11 was Joe Mantello’s staging of The Boys in the Band, taking $1,152,649, well above and beyond the official potential of $957,024. The box office take smashes the Booth Theater’s previous $1,113,192 house record set back in 2015 when Bradley Cooper was on stage in The Elephant Man. The 50th anniversary staging of Mart Crowley’s Boys recouped its $3.5 million investment in the 11th week of its 15-week engagement.

Total gross earned = $14,943,570

Total seats sold = 93,222

I’m sorta worried about Jim Parsons he usually posts stuff on the first day back to tbbt and he hasn’t. I’m starting to think he’s getting board with it. I read thing that says he’s producing a US version of the British sitcom “Miranda”

all of this make me kinda sad

The first post from last year I could find was on tape night. So don't worry, he'll put up a picture soon enough.

I agree, April.  And I  think he must be exhausted, with no break at all between closing night of his play and getting back to L.A. for BBT.  Probably needs breathing room.

Jim will present A Kid Like Jake in Rome next October. He is the guest star of one of the collateral events in the Rome Film Festival (October 18-28, 2018) and he and Silah Howard will present the movie there and have a Q&A about it. Moreover, during the same event, there will be a celebration for TBBT, that 10 years ago arrived in Italy. I've posted an article about it, it's in Italian and it also has a few inaccuracies, but maybe some of you are interested! I  am so happy the movie finally arrives in my Country, I hope it gets some kind of distribution!

I really feel Jim has been absent from Insta. Miss his posts. Sad to hear today’s news. I will miss them all. Hoping they find fulfillment and success continuing in their futures.

NBC Developing Gay Couple Small Town Comedy ‘The Inn Crowd’ From Jim Parsons & ‘Young & Hungry’ Creator

NBC has put in development The Inn Crowd, a multi-camera comedy from Young & Hungry creator David Holden, Jim Parsons and Todd Spiewak’s That’s Wonderful Productions and Warner Bros. TV where the company is based.

Written by Holden, The Inn Crowd is inspired by Tony Horwitz’s 1999 New Yorkerarticle and centers around a gay couple who divide a small town when they open a very successful inn.

Holden executive produces alongside Parsons and Spiewak via their That’s Wonderful Productions. Eric Norsoph, head of development and production for That’s Wonderful, will oversee the project for the company.

The 1999 article The Inn Crowd, by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Horwitz, chronicles the the controversy surrounding the Inn at Little Washington, in Rappahannock County, Virginia, owned by Patrick O’Connell and Reinhardt Lynch. It gets the small town in the rural, low-income county split over whether to support the O’Connell and Lynch’s successful business, which is attracting big-name celebrities, or oppose the duo’s ambitious expansion plans.

Holden most recently created and executive produced the comedy series Young & Hungry, which aired on Freeform for five seasons. His other series credits include Accidentally on Purpose, The War At Home and Growing Up Fisher.

Parsons stars on the hit CBS/Warner Bros. TV comedy series The Big Bang Theory, which is heading into its final season. He and Spiewak also serve as executive producers, and Norsoph ad a co-producer, on CBS’ Big Bang spinoff series,Young Sheldon, which Parsons also narrates.

That’s Wonderful recently produced A Kid Like Jake, an Official Selection in this year’s Sundance Film Festival, which sold to IFC and stars Parsons, Claire Danes, and Octavia Spencer. The company also  executive produced the First In Humandocuseries for Discovery Channel.

Horwitz’s books include Blue Latitudes (AKA Into the Blue) (2002), A Voyage Long and Strange: Rediscovering the New World (2008) and Midnight Rising: John Brown and the Raid That Sparked the Civil War (2011).

That’s Wonderful Productions is repped by CAA, Principal Entertainment LA, and Gang, Tyre, Ramer & Brown. Holden is repped by CAA and Morris Yorn. ICM Partners negotiated the rights on behalf of Horwitz.

Feeling slightly disapointed that Jim Parsons is not using his Instagram account to post his usual adorable pictures. But at the same time I know he has no obligation to me or anyone for that matter to post pictures for the world to see...but come on not even a picture on the set with Mayim or information about his newest projects? Nothing to show his excitement to be back to work at all. He must be bored stiff and eager to put TBBT behind him.  I wonder also if he is just giving fans some time to grieve after such a big announcement. I wonder if he thinks people will call him horrible names for leaving the show on any posts he might share. Anyway, who knows. I do miss his posts though.
