Yep. Me too. Perhaps he is tired of everybody approaching him, following him or watching him. He must feel like he lives in a fishbowl sometimes. I guess he could just want to fall of the face of the earth for a while. Try and get some privacy back. I would think if that is the problem he would wait till after season 12 when it is completely over. I guess also he could be going through something in his personal life and wants to be left alone for awhile. We will never be privy to the answers though.

I don't think so. He seems to be the type of person to really put thought into what his next moves are. He seems to be very careful about his career steps and making good decisions. My guess is he thought about it all summer and gave his notice of not returning as early as possible out of respect to co-workers. My guess is burn out on some level.

I don't know if he regrets, but I don't think he does.  He must of given his decision a lot of thought and talked it through with people he trusts.

I think he is just taking a social media break for a bit.  He just came off of 18 weeks on Broadway constantly in the public eye. His production company just landed a big deal with NBC. Both YS and TBBT are back in production so he is working on both of those at the same time.  He's got a lot on his plate.

I'm hoping he'll return to posting when both shows begins airing again next week.

So burned out on some level...I hope he comes back soon and doesn't pull a Simon. That would kill me.

I'm not his huge fan but I like him a lot, I think he obviously thought this through during the summer. 

TBH, I've always thought the American TV shows can be really time consuming, usually they run from September to the next May, the actors would "get stuck" at the same shooting place for such a long time, yes, it's good that you (I mean the actors) have been on TV shows for years, but when you have been on the same show for over a few years, it can be bored... And, it obviously prevents you from doing something else for a longer time or shooting from a different location. 

And in Jim's case, I think now he really wants to do something else, and I think he may have gotten some interesting projects during the summer, hence his "relatively sudden" decision about leaving TBBT. 

And about the selfies, I thought I saw some selfies from him and Mayim the other day, it was from the 12X01 taping. 

So, don't worry!

12 years is a long time. I don't blame him at all for not signing on for more seasons. I am sure he feels the need to stretch out his acting muscles perhaps try his hand at other things. This makes sense to me. I am thankful I got to watch him for so long. All of them. He probably misses New York a lot too and is anxious to return home. I am not worried as much as anxious for pictures and updates.

he's in the production for Ryan O'Connor's (i thibk that's his name) new series. Ryan's been posting pics on set and i know That's Wonderful prod is working on it. I think as of now his production company has over four or five projects... He is busy.

I do believe if he posts something, ppl will start commenting about tbbt and even say nasty things because it's been installed on social media he is the only reason the show is "cancelled" and he doesn't care so he is leaving the show being really selfish for not thinking on his castmates that wanted to go on (that's what has been taken as "the truth"). So it's better if he doesn't post anything for a while.

There has been nothing to counter that view or how the story played out.  And the cast have had the opportunity to defend Jim but haven't.

Usually in situations like this there are two ways of responding, you either defend yourself or get others to do so or you stay silent hoping it quiets down and becomes old news.  There are pro's and con's to both approaches.

Both are CBS shows so I expect softball questioning from the hosts.

Thanks so much for saying this.  I think he is taking so much blame, when others on the cast may have quietly agreed with him.  He has such a good reputation, and I hate to see him vilified for being greedy, when he is being quite the opposite.  Some things matter more than money.

Indeed. If they wanted to keep all the cast on board for more seasons they should have signed them up for more last year.

I agree! He has taken social media breaks in the past, for whatever reason, as it is his prerogative. I don't see anything odd in it, as you said it is his personal account and he can decide whether to use it or not.

Maybe he is laying low, especially about Big Bang, until people calm down. Both Kaley and Johnny were on the Late Late show this week and she had one more appearance on a morning show I think. Maybe it's a production decision to send the others to promote the show until some time had passed and people calm down abot Jim.
