he talks to the fans at the show taping with kaley,

just before it ends.

I know he seems to like the fans a lot,  I think he knows the fans are what make him a celebrity.  I'm really surprised people like Jim Parsons so much, because he seems standoffish around the fans, like they bother him.

It's not available in my country. :( What did he say about the DOMA? I know he feels strongly and is happy for his position to be known about LGBT rights, because he took part in a reading of the Laramie Project the Matthew Shepard Foundation years ago, took the opportunity to make a point when asked if he were gay on The View once before, and challenged Kunal on camera when he seemed to suggest he wouldn't want Raj to be gay (even though poor Kunal is an outspoken ally as well, at least on Twitter, lol). The very fact that he's never flat out denied the rumours he's gay, even though he must know they could hurt his career as a handsome leading man type, is very admirable. His last View interview made me crush on him a little for that reason, so I really hope this one will be made available as well.

I think Jim gets the most attention because his character is the most popular, which results in the media, award organisations and merchandise doing more to promote him. He's only stand-offish at BBT tapings, and only since people he doesn't know started liking him "so much", if you know what I mean. (Plus at around the same time, he started getting a disproportionate amount of the hardest dialogue, which he says he still always worries about forgetting and presumably will demand more concentration and less breaking character/audience interaction between takes.)  Both after events, random street meetings and on Broadway, where a much smaller minority of fans behave in ways that would make any non-egomaniac uncomfortable rather than flattered, people have said he was very generous and engaging, as all the phone-caught footage confirms. He's also shier than he seems, according to himself and several colleagues. Johnny also seemed shy to me at first but I think he actually has the opposite problem: he's private, reserved and introverted but is such a "cool cat" that he gets accused of rudeness for self-assured habits like chewing gum in red carpet and panel interviews. I don't think I'd react to media interest and public "sense of familiarity/entitlement" necessarily any better than either of them, in fact they both have very ordinary, "human" responses in my opinion, which endears me to them as they don't react to the unnatural circus of celebrity culture as expected of them, i.e. as a foreign species that laps up the kind of adoration and intrusion most of us would flounder awkwardly or retract in the face of.

I watched it yesterday and he basically said that he was for equality for everyone for everything basically.  I could get you a direct quote if you want it...

He does seem to be the 'Cool Cat'. The woman interviewers seem to really gush over him.

Oh, yes please. I find his outspoken moments always crush-worthy.

This is what he said when asked about DOMA:  In my humble opinion I think it's f'n thrilling. I'm an unwavering believer in equality for all and any example that is less than that is terrifying to every one of us. At any give point about any certain topic.

Johnnys beard is all kinds of wrong, it doesn't even look tidy!

Someone said, Johnny likes to go 'Native' when they are on breaks.  Considering, they were on break for only a few months, the man grows a good beard.

I think Johnny is like most men, when they have down time they don't shave as much.  As he told David Letterman he is relaxing and enjoying himself on his piece of land somewhere in California.

I say more power to him and others that wants to be carefree.

ArmyGirl, you've probably seen my situation enough. I was Air Force for 16 years, had to shave every day, and now I'm going way over to the other side. :)

Yep, as an Army brat and being a soldier myself and was married to a soldier too, I know what you are talking about.

I grew my hair long as soon as I got out of the service, until I could put it in a ponytail.

I watched the Johnny interview online yesterday, and I must say that I always like to hear him speak. I like how humble and genuinely thankful for everyting that's happened to him he always sounds.

Yeah the guy seems like one of the better ones in Hollywood. It sort of makes sense that someone, also that way (Kaley), would hook up with him for a couple of years.

And manage to stay friends, quite close by all accounts, with them after the breakup.
