As the actor reveals in the above video Q&A with TVLine, he helped himself to an iconic Howard-related memento after taping the series’ final episode two weeks ago. “I took the Nintendo controller belt buckle that I wore in the pilot,” Helberg shares. “It’s small and indestructible and it means something to me. The character came together fully when I put on that crazy wardrobe that [Big Bang costume guru] Mary Quigley designed so brilliantly.” full article

vonmar
From Variety Simon Helberg Upgrades to Celeb-Pedigreed Pad in Los Feliz (EXCLUSIVE) Simon Helberg has marked the end of his long, lucrative run as one of the high-paid co-stars of the spectacularly popular megahit sitcom “Big Bang Theory” with the just shy of $6.9 million acquisition of a conscientiously restored and updated, early 1930s Spanish Colonial residence in one of the more coveted neighborhoods in L.A.’s Los Feliz area. Privately positioned well above the pin-drop quiet cul-de-sac and obscured in a tangled variety of trees and shrubbery on more than half of an acre, the just over 4,000 square foot two-story residence sits atop a two-car garage and offers five bedrooms, one of them a main floor staff suite, and a total of 5.5 bathrooms, some with arresting, design-forward tile treatments. A poolside guesthouse with bathroom adds flexible living and entertaining space. <full article & slideshow in the link>

vonmar
‘Big Bang Theory’ Star Simon Helberg Buys Frederick Roehrig-Designed Pasadena Estate Though it’s been less than three years since he bought a nearly $7 million estate in the Los Feliz part of town, Simon Helberg is already shuffling his Los Angeles real estate chips. Records reveal the Santa Monica native, 41, has paid nearly $8.4 million for a 116-year-old gated estate in Pasadena, on the fringes of California’s San Gabriel Valley. The deluxe spread includes a 23-room main house with three full floors, a substantial pool house, and a 1,200-square-foot garage building with four car stalls, an attic and workshop. Of course, Helberg and his longtime wife Jocelyn Towne can well afford bouts of capriciousness. By the time hit sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” wrapped in 2019, Helberg was reportedly earning a cool $1 million per episode. In fall 2019, HBO Max secured the domestic streaming rights and TBS extended its syndication deal with the show, record deals worth well “into the billions.” Suffice to say that the show’s main cast is likely set for life.
