Just saw the Spoils and if you are in the NY area GO!!! The show is amazing and Kunal is funny and dramatic. Its an off broadway show and a very small intimate theater. Our seats were front row dead center so for two plus hours we were ten feet from Kunal.

We then waited a bit and walked a little and got to see the entire cast with photos.

Had a full conversation with Kunal. So sweet he even offered to take a selfie with us (he touched my phone). Tickets still available and I highly recommend it!!! 7c5b632f13f68f897ecd577e2c287a8c.jpg

Going to see this on June 3, can't wait. Glad you enjoyed it. The cast must spend a lot of time with the audience after. Were there a lot of people waiting? Edited by pegcarr

No the theater maybe at best fits 100. When u get out wait by the bar and wait. We stayed by the doors and then about 15 minutes later we saw one of the cast go down the big staircase and we bolted and saw them.

This isnt like the Act of God barricades with security. Very low key and intimate.

So glad to hear you liked it.  Would you be willing to write up a review for Star Watch Byline?  Would love to put up a review of the play.

I have never done the stage door thing but might have to for both Jim and Kunal.

If anyone has seen The Spoils and is willing to write up a review, please PM me ASAP.  I  really would like to get a review up.  Let me know how you wish to be credited as well.  If you need an example review here are some examples:

An Act of God Review

Imitation Game Review

I really, really appreciate anyone helping out that has seen it that can do this for me. I have no issue editing even if you just want to send a few bullet points to send me I can fill out the rest if you wish.   I do want to credit whoever is willing.  Thanks.

Kunal's play officially opens tonight...

From Broadway.com:  http://www.broadway.com/buzz/181037/jesse-eisenbergs-the-spoils-officially-opens-off-broadway/

Jesse Eisenberg’s The Spoils Officially Opens Off-Broadway

The world premiere of the Jesse Eisenberg-penned The Spoils officially opens off-Broadway on June 2. Starring Eisenberg, Kunal Nayyar and more, the New Group production is playing at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center.

The play follows Ben (Eisenberg) who’s been kicked out of grad school, lives off his parents’ money and bullies everyone in his life—including his Nepalese roommate Kalyan (Nayyar). But when he discovers that his former crush is marrying a banker, he is determined to destroy the relationship and win her back.

The production also features Michael Zegen, Erin Darke and Annapurna Sriram. The play is currently scheduled to run through June 28.

Went to see The Spoils last night and really enjoyed it.  It was great to see Kunal in a dramatic role that showed off his talents more.  I didn't manage to talk to him as he was obviously in a hurry to get away (?tired from the opening party) and disappeared while I was getting an autograph from Michael Zegen.  It is more difficult when there is not an obvious line to go down and he was busy with someone else and then was gone when I turned around :icon_neutral: .  Highly recommended go see it.

How great was it?? I thought he did such an amazing job! Yea he looked like he was in a hurry when i went to but i managed to make eye contact with him so he saw me coming to ask for a signature therefore he kinda waited for me before heading off (i hate feeling like I'm annoying people though so i made sure i asked like "do you mind?" and didn't keep him any longer for a photo or anything like that) so yea he must always be rushing off to somewhere haha :p

at least even not with kunul, you got some amazing moments with jim :)

Really seeing them up close and on stage is fantastic anything else is a bonus. Jesse Eisenberg  was very nice as well and wanted to know where my accent was from :icon_razz:
