I haven't seen it yet, but a rabbi friend of mine has and he had lots of issues with it, though I'm not sure he spelled them out. I just saw a FB post he made griping about it.

I haven't seen much of the trailers yet, either, but the one thing I thought of right away was that Christian Bale isn't old enough to be Moses when he comes back to Egypt to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt.  He was already a young adult when he fled after having killed a man, then he spent, I think it was, 40 years working as a shepherd for his father-in-law before he finally saw the burning bush and returned to Egypt.

And I'm not so sure about the military style armor he wears and all that.

But I am interested in seeing it because I love Bale as an actor and there are lots of other great actors in it, and it's a big spectacle.  I've heard other gripes about how they explain the plagues, and all that, but I want to see it for myself.

I never did go see the Noah movie, though.

I saw it last weekend.  It is an extremely well made film, and I love Bale as an actor as well, so I could except him as Moses, but still the Charleton Heston/Yul Bryner version will always stand out in my mind as the best version for the sheer spectacle of it, of which Director Cecil B. Demille excelled in creating in his films.

Well Kate miccuci auditioned for the role as well

Am glad Mayim got it, don't see shamy working without mayim

No, me neither... just like Jim adds something particular and special to Sheldon, Mayim makes Amy a very unique character in television this days. I still don't know why her Emmy has been denied so many times...

I like how she's not afraid to post pictures of herself, without all the make-up on.

A natural, unselfconscious, beauty.

I like that about her, too.  It makes her more down to earth than a lot of celebrities.  :)

I don't understand that either.  She is more than due for one!  I'd love her to win in a year Jim wins, too, but if that doesn't happen, then I just want her to win period!  It's well past time, in my book!

Completely agree with you.  It's hard to imagine anyone else in their roles.

This was so sweet

That was really, incredibly sweet.  What a lovely person she is.
