Unfortunately, as much as I enjoy Mayim as an actress and admire how well-spoken she is and her dedication to her beliefs, I will have to stop following her at this point. I feel her tone often crosses into "shaming" and I do not allow that. In addition, this was kind of an emotional issue for me. I will continue enjoying the Shamy though!

I have to agree with you on this. I too appreciate her passion and dedication, but for me, she sometimes comes across as a little condescending. I stopped following her long ago, but I still respect her and of course still love the Shamy!

The auction for the Mayim Bialik autographed TI-Nspire CX calculator for sale on eBay ends Tuesday at 1PM (ET).  If you're interested, you can view it here, or just go to eBay and search for "Mayim Calculator".

A unique item, related to her advocacy of the STEM education program, created by Texas Instruments!

It is interesting as it seems to contradict what she's implied in the past (that she didn't vax her kids). I don't get why people follow celebs on facebook or twitter only to bash them or argue with their posts. Seems so petty!

She vaccinated her kids years ago.  It was in the Stern interview.

Before then as now she advocated Informed vaccination and that hasn't changed. The Anti-vaxers latched on to her while the others hated on her because of her association with her pediatrician and the Moms Network she has promoted and help establish.

Now her facebook is full of Anti-vaxers hating on her because "she sold out".  That's what happens to those that follow the hype instead of looking up the interviews.

YES!!!  Exactly...she has always advocated informed vaccination.

She stated in a People magazine interview in 2009 that they are a "non-vaccinating family":

Now she makes it sound like she was always pro-vaccine. I love Amy and Shamy, and I think Mayim is a good actress, but I think the less I know about her personal views, the better.

Yeah, I was reading some of the comments last night on her post where people had screen shot two or three times she made it clear she did not vaccinate, including her first book. Granted, all of those interviews and excerpts were several years ago and she has since stated that her boys are partially vaccinated.

But, I don't know. I guess the whole thing just makes her look like she's flip-flopping. I know it's a very heated subject but she's digging herself into a hole. Perhaps she will write a blog about it and clear everything up.

It's like she can't win either way.  It doesn't matter that later she did partially vaccinate her children, they will always latch on to the first decision she made years ago.  She researched, made a decision and partially changed her view on the matter. That's the important part.  That's what they should be focusing on.

Of course the negative will always get more attention.

I don't think she's flip-flopping.  That interview was from 2009 and says she researched and discussed it with the paediatrician before making a decision.  To me, she has clearly continued to research it and discuss it and adjusted her own decision based on the knowledge she now has. Nothing wrong with that.

No, there is nothing wrong with it at all. It's great.

But, the way she worded her post, she set herself up for an ambush. I know she can't win either way, but I hope she will clear it up. That was my point.
