Ouch, asking Mayim about V-day right now was probably not the best move from the interviewer. Awkward.

You can tell Jim and Mayim are interview/socially awkward, I've noticed all interviews/panels they do together they answer questions talking to each other instead of looking at the person who asked the question. lol.

And I love it that "they nailed it" :)

yeah asking mayim that when shes going through a divorce is a bit insensitive!!

I agree but will take it further and say that I think asking any of them about their personal lives is insensitive.  They're all very private and for good reason.  People can be judgmental and the media can be ruthless.  I get the sense in interviews that Jim is worried about what he says, that something will come out wrong and he will be misinterpreted.

Happy Valentime's Day :D

I so cannot wait to watch this episode curled up on the couch and eating pizza in my underwear.

A friend posted on FB that she had no Valentime this year, and I replied that a new episode of TBBT was all the Valentime's day present anybody needed.

Haha, Spook, I loved that article!

Poor Mayim indeed, as uncomfortable as the moment may have been, at least she could just have a laugh about it and they could move on. I'm glad those two thought they  nailed it and I do love Johnny, he's such a cool guy. Him and Kaley together are really fun :D.

I would say asking very general questions about personal lives isn't always insentive, depending on the context and the question itself. Kaley and Johnny seem a little more open and as long as the interviewer is careful and not pushy it can be okay and sometimes very interesting. But in this case, yes, the interviewer asked in the wrong context and didn't think about the implications which was definately a mistake. The whole thing is just difficult and if I were an interviewer I would probably just play it safe :p.

Anyway, I'm super-mega excited!!! This will make my valentines day worth getting out of bed for xD

HAPPY V-DAY everyone!!   Yes so of course I'm more than super excited for tonight's episode.  I've been real good this week and trust me it was tough, but after what happened to Leonard last week with spoilers I did my best to avoid almost all of them. :p  So I can't wait to see what happens tonight with all couples for valentine's day!  I'm especially excited to see THE SHAMY!!  and Raj finally meet his love interest.  I think this could be best holiday episode of already stellar season 6.  Best season so far in my personal opinion.  SO GO ON SHAMY, GO ON LENNY!  GO ON HOWARDETTE and go on....uh wonder what new coupling with Raj and the new girl will be called?  Any suggestions.

The new girl is named Lucy.  Racy? Rucy?  Luj?  Lujesh? Koothrappallucy?  The last one is my favorite.

Edit:  someone in another thread just suggested Luthrappali, which IMO is better.

There was an interview of Jim on a cafe and he hardly met the eyes of the camera. It is quite profound how utterly shy he tends to be.

EDITED: Spelling.

Well, in that interview--if it's the one I'm thinking of, where it's in 6 parts online--he was basically reading questions off of a laptop and I think the camera was just a small webcam-type of camera, so he was kind of just having a conversation with the girl doing the interview and kind of talking at the laptop as he looked at the questions. :)

Yes, that is it. He seems so uncomfortable with looking straight into the camera there (or laptop whichever the case may be). It makes me wonder how he acts so well during filming.

Because when he's acting, he's not being "himself"--he's pretending to be someone else.  He doesn't have to be self-conscious. :)

What Phanta said :) also, looking at the camera while filming is always seen as bad unless it's on purpose by the writers :p

Yes, he's said in interviews that he feels awkward and embarrassed when appearing in public as himself, as opposed to hiding behind a character. Of course, I find even his awkwardness adorable. :)

Kiru - thanks for the links! Aww, another Jim/Mayim moment. Too bad they asked Mayim the question about most romantic thing at such a time, but she handled it well. Jim, of course, just smiled it away. :p And Johnny was sweet about not wanting to offend exes who are friends!

The article was pretty entertaining, and almost seemed to take a slice out of TBBT, as one comment pointed out.
