Waffles~~~
finally my Sheldon/Penny chance \o/
WalletNook
Or finally a chance to squash that chance. Either way, they need to either continue it or end the Sheldon/Penny nonsense. If they continue it, I'm probably done with this show. Sheldon's character is asexual. To make him interested, would go against the nature of what makes his character so interesting and intriguing. Secondly, would he really do that to Leonard? And if he did, would Leonard really be so submissive as to stay in the same apartment with Sheldon if he were to date Penny? I'd like to think they've developed Leonard's character enough to know he would probably bail on the living arrangements if that were to happen. And there goes the plot of the show. Would Wolowitz and Raj stick around with Leonard or Sheldon? The show would be dead but for a few awkward 'relationship' gags between Penny and Sheldon. Or, worse, would completely change Leonard and Sheldon's characters to facilitate a few awkward 'relationship' gags. Either way, I'm not interested. We all know that in order for the show to continue, Leonard can't get Penny. And neither can Sheldon. Wallet Out
Waffles~~~
no need to bash õ.o I'm not saying a think about your Penny/Leonard boredom =D geez, this is a internet forum and I'm talking about shippers for god's sake. if you don't like it, don't anwser, like everyone else in this forum does õ.o I didn't complain when leonard and penny almost had sex thats because its a freaking TV show. if they really end up together I'll still watch the show. yes, I'd be happier if she ended up wioth sheldon, but I so childish anymore to the point I wouldn't watch it. so calm down =D don't start a flame war for nothing xP
WalletNook
Okay, half that I didn't understand. My point was, that those that want Sheldon/Penny want it in spite of what it would do to the show as a whole. If they go that route, fine. I just don't see how that would be entertaining. Once you've satisfied your desire to have Sheldon/Penny together, what else can the show do? That's the point. I'd like Leonard and Penny together, eventually, but know it won't/can't happen because it would ruin the show as it is currently. And that's what I don't want to happen. I love the show. The interaction dialogue of all the characters is just great. So entertaining and you actually care about the characters because the show/storyline has done such a great job of presenting them to us. Tripper
According to Zap2It's recount of BBT's Paley Fest appearance, Sheldon & Penny are a definite no-no. http://blog.zap2it.com/korbitv/2009/04/big-bang-theory-hits-paley.html For the best, I say. WalletNook
True, but the show wasn't about Ross and Rachel. The basis of the show was the six friends interacting. The relationships (all of them, for every character) were a central part of Friends. And again, even though everyone 'knew' Ross and Rachel would wind up together/were made for eachother, they still just couldn't write it from day one. THe acrimony of it made for good comedy. Waffles~~~
and what does make you think that TBBT is only about penny and leonard? o.O
WalletNook
It isn't. As I said of Ross & Rachel, it's a side story that everyone knows will happen 'eventually'. This plotline from IMDB sums it up well: A woman who moves into an apartment next door to two brilliant but socially awkward physicists shows them how little they know about life outside of the laboratory. Pam
Well, looks like tonight's episode did squash that chance. Anyone seen it yet? It's amazing. Probably not the best episode, but I definitely love the ending.

Sherminator
here's interesting thing: It has been established that Sheldon is afraid of germs. Despite this, he did not change the sheets when he went to sleep at Pennys bed!!! -bit of an oversight from the writers, and not the first time. Remember the night at Howard's? no sheet change there either, even thought we might imagine howards sheets to be a bit dirtier than Pennys!!! Okay it is a little thing, and it is just a sitcom and not an award winning drama series, but still...
Incognito
I find it funny that a lot of people on here get upset about the Shenny shippers. We're not all watching to see Penny and Sheldon hook up. We're not all looking for Sheldon to do a 360, a 180 - hell, we're not looking for a 15 degree spin. Many of us just appreciate the Penny/Sheldon moments on the show and would rather neither character be in a relationship with anyone. Having said that, this episode is a favourite because of the comedic duo that is Sheldon (Jim) and Penny (Kaley).
cbolt
At wallet Sheldon lived there first, plus I'm not buying that Sheldon is asexual every guy has needs
cbolt
Love it when Sheldon starts talking Texan, just because they say Sheldon and penny won't hook up now doesn't mean it couldn't happen
rachelshamyfan
Sheldon was great at getting rid of Howard and the others, i guess he did not want to listen to Howard moping about Leslie!!! The scenes in Pennys apartment were pretty good "Are you and Leonard friends with benefits" only Sheldon could ask that!
rachelshamyfan
For me scenes with Penny and Sheldon always provide good comedic value
