I'm unfamiliar with the reference to magical red pants, although I note that Penny has been wearing red pants a lot lately. She often seems to wear red around Leonard, come to think of it. Subliminal seduction maybe?

They both wear red pants from time to time but never in the same scene. Penny used to wear brightly coloured hoodies - even through s4 I think. I never really noticed until I saw someone else write it up. I think the last mirroring that comes to mind is in the Higgs-Boson s6.3 where they both separately walk down the corridor to Sheldon's office with the same hands in pocket posture AND THE SAME PANTS.

All designed of course. Elsewhere someone conjectured they were the actually the same pants and they did a handover from time to time. Its in a fanfic.

Amy has sort of talked about the primate response to red... so yes I guess. Old Hollywood did it too. And the Matrix. And Chris de Burgh.

I don't think it's a spoiler to reveal that he's wearing it in the Mar 14 episode also.  We've talked about the clothing in some of the other threads, and I think the lack of fashion sense among some of the characters is cute.  I find it endearing.

Its not a spoiler the photos are released.

Howard actually looks a lot like the way one of the Beatles would look in the '60's. Right down to the Cuban heels and haircut. Bearnadette has a thing for black tights too.

Compared to Penny, the other girls aren't dressed up. They look normal. A plot point?

No, not a plot point.  (I'm sure it's not because I've been spoiled.)  Every character just has his or her own version of dressed up.  I've always thought Howard's hair was supposed to be based on the Beatles--the early 60s version, not the hippie look.

I love that group picture. They look like family.

I love that picture too.  They do look like they belong together.  However, this one will probably always be my favorite group shot.

Yeah, I love his Beatle look! And Bernie's dad even said something about his "stupid Beatle haircut" in one episode. :p

For all his plaid and turtleneck/dickie obsession, Howard usually looks pretty snazzy. ;)

Compared to what they usually wear, Bernadette and Amy are dressed up.  Bernie's dress with the multiple fluttery layers is really cute in another photograph.  Amy's floral dress, while matronly, is dressier than her typical corduroy skirt and grandma sweater.

This would be my favorite of the real-life seven, while the episode shot is one of my favorites of the screen seven. :)
