I don't find him sexually attractive either  - but (segue)  I'm waiting for Bernie to go psycho on Sheldon... "like that's not exhausting" is a prelude. One day she will just step straight over Amy and ...BOOM! And he wont know why.

 

'Cos he is not nice to her... Who brings takeaway to a dinner? He has had training in manners from his cotillion days. He just don't care. Bernie is just storing these things up. She's a very vengeful person. The closet cleanse may have slowed things down but it will always be an uneasy relationship.

 

But that is ok, because they needs some tension in the group to drive the show. Often partners dont get on with their partner's friends and they just suck it up - or not. So lets see where they go with psycho Bernie.

 

I find him cute as a button but not in a sexual way.  Actually, the other one I find cute as a button but not sexually is Bernie.  She sorta did grouch at him one time:  "Oh, just pet the stupid bird, you big baby!"

Liking a couple is not necessarily about attraction. I have liked couples but not shipped them. I Like Lenny but I don't ship them. Shipping a couple is about attraction and sexual chemistry. I shipped Mulder and Scully because they were stunning together. People ship couples they find attractive. It's human nature. I wouldn't eat food I didn't like. I wouldn't ship a couple I didn't fancy.

To my recollection, Bernadette has never gone off on either Penny or Leonard. The closest with Penny was at Disney about which princess to dress as. Sheldon, Raj and Howard have all done things that set her off, which is sort of normal for those characters. They can all be infuriating at times. Plus, both Sheldon and Raj have diagnosable mental illnesses, which they either choose to ignore or refuse to seek help to address it. It is actually quite unrealistic that Raj, the son of a doctor, hasn't been in talk and drug therapy. He even seems the sort of person that would all over that as a metrosexual. Sheldon has this idea that he is more highly evolved and therefore perfect as is. I would not have been surprised if Bernie threw him out of her party for his attitude regarding the food. That she worked so hard to please Sheldon, only for him to suggest she was stupid for even trying was inexcusable. If she'd slipped him some of that drug that caused anal leakage would have been justice. Letting him clean the closet was giving him a treat. She went off on Amy during the parking spot debacle, but that was both connected with Sheldon's craziness and defense of her man. Amy was the one that raised the stakes to physical violence, which is pretty extreme too.

Yes, she is a little is a little extreme at times, and the references to her bio-weapons is disturbing, but the targets for her outbursts are generally correct. I like her stirring things up, and she's certainly not as crazy as Sheldon is.
