Lissie Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) Well she knows he is not ready for that, so holding back is a good thing Yes, yes, I know. She is very smart and she understand that if she jump on him that will scare him so much and he will run away Ans she respect him too, etc, etc BUT, come on, she is really "contained" (sorry, I don´t know how to say this in English, hope you understand me) I mean, if it is myself in that situation, then I will have only two options: to jump on him or to die Edited May 12, 2013 by Lissie
koops Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I think that scene also validated the idea that Amy is all talk, but when it comes down to it, she's shy and inexperienced. She was far from jumping his bones during that scene, it was actually Sheldon who was prodding her. Later on, maybe, she got the hang of it. (14!!! ). rachelshamyfan Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 You know when Sheldon said I've not ruled it out, he was nodding his head as if to show he has been thinking about it

Pomita Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Yes, it's worth noting that Amy was having a hard time even getting out the words 'I kiss you on the lips'.. she definitely had an attack of shyness (even if she recovered later). And of course she didn't jump on him; she has the patience of a saint.. in other words, she's a perfect blend of saint and squirrel. LOL you people and your gifs. Kutra Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Good episode..as usual our uneducated moocher waitress put her mouth where it should not be and caused drama between Sheldon and Amy. Howard stole the episode though, the Nicholas Cage impersonations were too funny!!
vasu Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 (edited) This was good. Howard was excellent....although it was more of Actor's skills than writers skills ......but still it was good way to show his impersonation skills... Sheldon-Amy --- I thought this was pretty good story wise.....Amy being uncomfortable with public acknowledgment of their lack of intimacy while probably for Sheldon their status being far beyond than anything he has experienced previously was nice..... the last scene was good although it reminded me of Howard's online encounter (clicking the troll's brains out ) Raj-Lucy -- their story was good too......Raj's admission that it was a turn on for him to find someone with bigger problems probably makes sense........the rule after 3 minute silence on phone rule was funny... Lucy automatically responding with "Oh thanks I like them too" after Raj says he likes her bangs after her telling that she was scared to tell her hair dresser she does not like bangs was very very funny....nice character based joke..... Snarky Penny was more of annoying than funny.... Sheldon probably was a little bit too clownish for my taste during the game thought...... Sheldon likes the Quinto guy???....did'nt he say in one the episode "live long and and suck it Quinto" Overall nice episode story wise but few genuine laughs..... Chrismo Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Snarky Penny was more of annoying than funny.... I might be a bit "snarky" since Amy ruined her trip to Vegas. Although her comment about S/A having sex during D&D certainly benefitted Amy in Sheldon's bedroom.

I get it...but her comments were kind of a buzzkill....everyone was enjoying the game including bernie who also missed out on her trip to vegas... I thought the writers could have done a better job with her lines other than giving the routine..."girls never play nerd games" or "it is not more fun than vegas".... And also the first scene with them in the car where they joke about underwears and drinks was gross.....no creativity Edited May 13, 2013 by vasu

They ended up playing the game differently but I don't think Penny's comments were a buzzkill. I do agree the scene in the cab was a bit gross. koops Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I didn't find Penny to be particularly snarky in this one and I'm not sure why she gets all the blame for creating "drama" with Shamy, since Howard and Bernadette contributed just as much, if not more. And it's not like any of them was deliberately trying to be mean.

Some characters can do no wrong to some people and others get the blame for everything .Penny seems to get the blame for everything. Howard stole the episode though, the Nicholas Cage impersonations were too funny!! Actually, Penny helped their relationship move forward in a good way. Not sure how you missed the big picture here but because of her saying that their characters should do it in the game, Sheldon & Amy were finally able to have "the talk" AND they had some bonding time in the bedroom. Oh, bad Penny. LOL. Edited May 14, 2013 by MJistheBOMB

I have never gotten the feeling that Amy was all talk except for maybe when she is with the girls. In this episode she could not have been more clear that she wants more intimacy in their relationship. She may be inexperienced but it is a problem she seems prepared to tackle. I also do not think a shy girl practically begs her boyfriend to sleep in her bed, has no issue with the idea of being naked in front of him to be bathed, have her chest rubbed, or enjoys being spanked. I think he was prodding her because she was highly upset and he was asking her to do something rather awkward. I don't mean awkward from a sexual standpoint but awkward from a strange role playing standpoint.
