Moonbase
Penny has been really unikable for me these past few episodes, but this episode redeemed her in my eyes. It's nice to be reminded how much she actually cares for these guys. I mean, her moment comforting Raj just radiated warmth and love. I love "Mama" Penny and I hope we get to see more of that side of her next season. Absolutely, Penny saved this for me. She was back to being the compassionate girl we all loved. She had great scenes with both Sheldon and Raj and helped both of them. But I completely agree with everyone who said that Sheldon's other scenes were annoying. I have been complaining about this change in him since Season 5. Anyone remember the Stag night. Urgh! He used to be consistently funny but this is going back a few seasons now. They make him super annoying these days.
Grasshopper
They all are learn from one another, complement each other, the whole group is so close-knit with each other, and each pair is different but this is the best. Strange would happen, if Shamy and Lenny were exactly the same or very similar. It's not racing or competition, which pair from which need to learn, or which pair is better. Between Amy and Sheldon everything is going great. That relationship works for them, they come, in a new and fascinating phase in their relationship. And a lot of sweetness and great moments is waiting for them in s7. Silverangel most everything you wrote makes very good sense too me, but I still have to disagree that things between Amy and Sheldon are going great. Yes it did get better at the end of the D&D episode while in the bedroom, but over all Amy is still VERY frustrated. From Sheldon's perspective I would have to say YES, things are going just fine, but on Amy's part, not quite.

Fruit Loop
. I am not real happy with the direction the writers are taking. I feel they really added too many characters. They have gotten away from the original 4 Nerds that was the winning combination that made BBT a Winner. One thing I see is too many short stories about each relationship and not enough time spend on any one story line. Leonard leaves for 4 months and they spend 30 seconds on Penny's reaction of excepting it. Then less than a Minute at the Airport. Season 2 finally the Boys went to the North Pole, most of the episode was about Penny's reaction. .
Berliner
A 'Good' episode for me. Not many laughs, but Penny was pretty good and they finally decided to get rid of Raj's selective mutism. All in all it was an ok Season. The first half was interesting (especially 6x08 - like the old days), the second not so much. Looking forward to Season 7. Kutra
Not funny episode at all. I am getting pretty sick of the whining Raj. Grow a pair will you? Nice of Howard to hook up Leonard with what will be a great professional achievement for him. I guess Penny is also going places in her "Acting" career.Maybe her next play will be on top of a garage? lol

Every ship is being slightly short changed. They could have kept 2 of the guys single. The remaining 2 relationships (and that could be any 2) would get much better story arcs. SRAM
I don't think the number of relationships is the issue, the issue is they try to cover too much in one episode. Leonard's going away was enough for one episode. They could have has a scene with Sheldon talking to Amy about him being alone and a scene with Penny talking to the girls about her not wanting him to leave, but she had to let him. Instead they put another big event into one episode and Raj's talking could have been an episode on its own. I don't know why they put so much in one episode, it doesn't do each plot justice. They don't do that to Chuck's other show, Two and a half Men.
queuetee
But you hit the nail on the head---on 2 1/2 men, there are just the two guys---the 1/2 guy has a minimal part now. A couple of varying women are in and out , but nothing with a huge story attached to it. There is just too many people now

The only way they could get more airtime is to do a spinoff. Howdette, or L/P, or Sheldon finally flips out, is institutionalized, and Amy meets someone who wants to have coitus before the next ice-age, (or Raj). Raj could be the third in any of those spinoffs or they could do a show about Raj finding love. Edited May 18, 2013 by eirwinrommel
eirwinrommel
Here's an idea for a spinoff. Leonard gets a job at Cambridge, marries Penny and Hawking is their wacky neighbor/his boss.
walnutcowboy
Why not have the first episode of next season be the old "DALLAS/ROSEANNE NIGHTMARE" and have Sheldon waking up to the knocking of his door, only to find Leonard asking if there is a room for rent ! That would give the writers a whole new start !!
Fruit Loop
. I don't Dislike Amy or Bernadette, But too much is too much. Bring back Creepy Howard, he was a lot funnier. Sheldon will always be weird so why try and change him into a weird Sex machine. Actually I liked it better when the arrogant Sheldon was always getting put down by outsiders of the group. Raj I never really cared for. .

"Creepy Howard" isn't coming back, the girls aren't going anywhere, and there won't be any regressions from the current developments. Wishing for the past and complaining about the present isn't going to change anything, so why continue to harp on it? I mean, what is the point? Some people may agree with you, most of the fans of the show apparently don't agree, since there's still a huge audience, so while you're certainly free to keep stating your opinion, what you want is NEVER going to happen. Just sayin'.
vasu
In this episode, I never once got the feeling that Sheldon would be missing Leonard , only jealousy and selfishness seemed to motivate his actions.....And the good-bye in the airport scene , it probably is a reminder of how obsessed the writers are with Sheldon's character..... if we blinked our eye we could have missed seeing Leonard and Penny hugging....we could not even see them hugging for a single mississippi... djvang
That my opinion, DEAL WITH IT. As you've already seen, criticism of the show will quickly be met with "shutup shutup shutup!". Or worse. That's just the way it is out here. I'm glad this season is over. Edited May 19, 2013 by djvang

I'm glad this season is over. No one is telling anyone to shut up. It's just a matter of wondering at the futility of saying the same thing over and over that's completely pointless. It's one thing to say something specific about a story line or a performance, but to sit there and say again and again that the show should go somewhere it's never gonna go just seems so pointless. Like I said, Fruit Loop is free to state such opinions over and over, but one wonders what is supposed to be accomplished. FL can hold his/her breath 'til his/her face turns blue, too, but it would be just as effective.
walnutcowboy
As we wave BON VOYAGE to season 6 I just wonder what you all are going to argue about until Season 7. And I'm wondering who is worse, someone who is ALWAYS complaining, or the person who is ALWAYS complaining about the complainer!?!? PS Have a nice vacation ! eirwinrommel
With Raj now talking, they could have creepy Raj. Howard did say Raj was an ass. Season 4, episode 3 Penny: So this is the plan? From now on, we’re just gonna hide out in here to avoid the Shamy? Raj: I’m very comfortable here. Penny, dear, why don’t you shoot another silver bullet my way? Penny: Get one yourself. Raj: Ooh, somebody’s been taking bitchy pills. Penny: God, he’s an ass when he drinks. Howard: Oh, he’s an ass when he doesn’t. You just don’t hear it. Well now Raj can express all those thoughts without Howard acting as a filter.
