NOM NOM NOM! I love fish!

I don't have TV anymore (weird decision. Still not sure I can live with it) so I am waiting for the full episodes to be posted on CBS's website.

*thumb twiddling* What is taking so long? It's a full 10 minutes past 9!

I posted my reaction to the first episode in the appropriate thread, but I can re-post it (and my thoughts on EP2) here after. Since I know I've had a few people say that they wanted to know what an unspoiled person thought.

Edited to add the posts:

"I'm going to comment on each episode separately, because otherwise it will be a huge post. Right, well here's what I thought about the first episode from an unspoiled viewpoint:

I really like the shorter haircuts for both Howard and Raj, it makes them look more mature and attractive. I loved Howard stabbing the pie. It was great, and violent, and beautiful. Sheldon stating that he wanted Raj to be happy was also a nice surprise, it was really nice to hear.

Though my first negative would be that Amy's wardrobe is looking extra baggy in this first episode. I know Mayim has slimmed down, so the extra effort to keep her lumpy is really apparent. (Though a big yay for less tights). Also not surprised that Raj is an ass even though he can speak now. It's actually about what I expected.

I do like the fact that Leonard was having so much fun at sea and didn't seem to miss Sheldon and Penny, it was a nice change from the normal. He needed to have some fun. Oh yes, and I also missed sassy Amy a lot! The bedbug conversation, and the "And your husband is extremely Howard" moments cracked me up.

Sheldon also telling Penny that his feelings were hurt = surprising. But I really enjoyed it. It's a great start with his character this season, which is a nice development from S6.

Overall I enjoyed it.  :)"

Aaaand

"NOOOOOOOO! LEONARD'S HAIR HASN'T CHANGED! GRAHHHH!

... So yeah, anyway.

Howard being all moody and emotional was hilarious, and I'm still unhappy about Leonard's hair.

Oh - and eavesdropping Shamy is quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen. Ever. So adorable, I love them in these first two episodes. And I love how their quirkiness seems to be back, I mean, Amy suddenly realizing Penny is cheating because of the takeout boxes!

And Sheldon going out just to knock, haha!

Though I really do understand why Sheldon was upset with Leonard.

Howard and Raj... I can't even. Just when I thought the robot frenching couldn't be beat."

I agree with everything you said, cait.  I enjoyed both episodes so much.  The scenes with Sheldon and Penny were awesome, and the fact that he told her she hurt his feelings was a huge step.  Her reaction to it was also awesome.  And the fact that Sheldon was so hurt over leonard was more than adorable.

My favorite scenes...

when penny hugged Sheldon

when Sheldon put on the sailor hat

when Sheldon and Amy eavesdropped at the door (it was like old times, those two partners in crime)

Howard and Raj and the nipples.  Oh my God.  I had tears streaming I was laughing so hard!

The pacing, humor, everything seemed perfect in both episodes and everyone seemed so much in character.  I have to say I am so glad that I am spoiler free!  I enjoyed watching it unfold so much more than last year!  Kudos to me! :girldance:

Yeah I agree with you Cait, and BazingaFan. Episodes were better than I thought. Of course my favorite moment when Amy said that Sheldon is her sweet baboo.... aawwww so sweet. I missed my babies so much... it is good to see them again, especially in that moment when they tried to overhear and were so close to each other, yeah like BazingaFan said partners in crime....I love that I wish we could see them more like that, together side by side.  It will be great to see them in Halloween costumes like popeye and Olive Oyl. It means progress because Sheldon wanted to go in matching costumes.

I love Howard in that scene in cafeteria, how he said about their friendship and that it is more than that, he remineded them that friends forgive each other, and that they are like family.

Sheldon in sailor hat.... sweet and adorable. Sheldon missed Leonard but he was to proud to admit, and he named reasons why he missed  him but obviously he needed to add denial with every reason so Sheldony.

Hug was sweet, but awkward like always. I really want to see how he huggs Amy and more sweet Shamy moments, but Amy putting him in line yeah it was good, sometimes he needs this, especially from her. Strong and determined Amy is what I would like to see, in the moments when Sheldon is overdoing.

Howard and Raj, checking their "breasts" and sensitive nipples, and Bernie's WTF facial expression... so hilarious that I cried of laughter...

Episodes great and I can't wait for next...

I said that in the episode thread but I'll repeat it here. I found the "I get it you're just an emotionless robot" line that Sheldon replies to with "I try" and a smirk, VERY telling of where things might be going this season. He KNOWS he has emotions now and that he only tries to be an emotionless robot, but he isn't.

dessertisserved made this great observation on the other forum, that the way Amy reacts to Bernadette at the end of the bar scene is SO Sheldon. "Can we just let it go?"/"Sure..." pause "Your husband is weird and his clothes are ridiculous."

It is sooooo Sheldon! hahaha! Oh my, I missed these moments where it's so obvious they are so much alike.

Everybody have greatly analysed every single Shamy moments here, I don't really have something new to say.

Here's what stick on my mind with these two episodes.

1) Have you noticed that when Sheldon and Amy are mad toward someone, they use the same noises ?

Sheldon to Penny : " You don't get an "Hey", you get a "Mmh" " (7.02)

Amy to Bernadette : Bernie said goodnight and Amy just responded "Mmh" too. (7.01)

I know, It's a bit too overdigging but what can I do ? Proove that they have a LOT in common.

2) In 7.02, Amy touched Sheldon twice... and NOT A SINGLE COMPLAIN. Baby steps...

3) I have a proposal for our Shamy shippers made-up language, directly inspired by Amy

A Shamy kiss without the tongue ( in conjonction with the spoon without food) = JankÖ kiss

A Shamy kiss with the tongue = Planko Kiss

Planko or Janko ? Seems that Amy's favourite is the JankÖ one

I can't stop thinking about the fact that Sheldon only has 9 pairs of pants and 9 pairs of underwear. Now my brain is stuck trying to figure out how many shirts he owns. It has to be more than 9, right? Then again, the lack of symmetry might bother Sheldon. Moreover, I am now obsessed with trying to figure out how Sheldon schedules what he is going to wear when. For example, we know he has specific pajamas he wears on specific nights. But how does this work for real clothes? Am I strange to be obsessing over something so trivial?

I have a rotation with all my clothes so I wear them all out evenly. Maybe he does something like that? :p I'm more flexible with tops because they tend to depend on the weather. But also i don't know how Sheldon copes with wearing mismatching/clashing colors. Maybe it is because I am very color-sensitive (as we discussed in chat Miso lol), but it would drive me nuts.

I think our joint "super power" makes us more sensitive to this than others. It is driving me to distraction trying to figure it out--especially when you consider that we know he has seasonal clothes as well. OMG. I could go on all day.

Yeah, it makes writing Shamy fanfiction love scenes a real irritation. I swear, they've got so many clothes on it's like the Regency/Victorian era or something. Oh! Mental picture of Sheldon in a cravat. OK. I'm good with it now.

Doesn't everyone have seasonal clothes?

Yeah, it makes writing Shamy fanfiction love scenes a real irritation. I swear, they've got enough clothes on it's like it's the Victorian era or something.

One of my main pet peeves in fanfic is when writers write love scenes and forget about Amy's t-shirt. I used it as an in-joke in one of my chapters as Lio et al have heard me moan about this more than once. I even made a Captain Picard meme once about it (which is in the Kingdom thread in chit-chat). You will be pleased to know Miso that I applauded you for including the tshirt in Reunion.

I'm embarrassed to ask, is baboo same as baboon?

No, it's just an endearment.  I believe it was first used in a Peanuts cartoon many years ago.

And I've been told that the spelling is babboo...

Anyway, no, it's not related to baboons at all.

That hung me up a bit, as well.  "Only 9?  Really?"

But, yeah, he has way more shirts than that.  I'm sure he rotates his pants the way he rotates his pajamas, but since his pants are generally neutrals and can go with any of his shirt combinations (presumably), there's a lot of flexibility.

And someone at the other forum, I think, (I've read so many posts in so many threads on both forums that I can't keep things straight!) that since he does his laundry every Saturday, he can get away with only that many pants and underpants.

But I really loved his comment on how many underpants Penny must have judging by her bedroom floor. :p

Guest I'm not dead Cheryl

But doesn't everyone do laundry every week??? Am I really the only weirdo in here who does?

I do laundry every week too, but is always good to have backup in case there is either a problem that requires more clothing changes than usual / inconveniences with the washing machine.

p.s.: yeah, now I realize I do sound a bit like a maniac :p

I do laundry every Saturday ... like Sheldon. Hmm... maybe I am the weirdo. But, at the same time, this calls to question more about the whole clothes scheduling thing. What are the extra two pairs of pants for? Does he just work them in? or are they only used in case of emergency? Is one of the pairs of pants his bus pants? How does that figure in? :swoon:

OMG. I need therapy now.

Welcome. Apparently, there is a club forming here.

Oh thank God I'm not alone. My clothes rotations have to do with wearing them out all evenly (especially socks, underwear, pants and PJs), rather than ensuring I have enough clean clothes. I do have backups too, I don't *just* have stuff for a week. I also rotate for variety... as they say, what is life without whimsy? :p
