Maybe johnny is trying to hide the start of a premature baldness ? Men can be very sensitive about it.

I think that It's a personal choice for jim as well as the rest of the cast, as long as it doesn't change too much for the show. If not, What the hell is the purpose of the whole episode about Sheldon's haircut ?

 

Well, I think that Jim likes his hair short, but in real life he doesn't wear it in that slicked-down Sheldon style.  He usually tousles up the top of his head and isn't so "square" as Sheldon.

 

In the haircut episode, I think it was just an excuse to show Sheldon's obsessions/quirks, etc., and how rigid he is and why.  I don't know that it had anything to do with Jim's actual hair style.  I think they played with the styling so that he could have the looser locks so that he could flip his hair and blow at it, etc., even though, of course, it wasn't really long.

 

Jim had his hair a little longer after the Harvey run, at the beginning of S6, but at some point he got a haircut, so it's shorter again.

 

But Johnny--it doesn't look to me like he's got any hairloss going on.  He's like Simon--he's about as hairy as a guy can be.  His hairline on his forehead doesn't look bad and if he had a bald spot on the back of his head, growing his hair long at his neckline wouldn't cover it.

I wonder if it's just Johnny--he strikes me as liking that "hippy" look a little bit--he's always dressed very casually, lets his beard grow any time they have any time off, etc.

 

Whatever, it's just an interesting question for me--WHY, JOHNNY, WHY?!?!?!

 

At least Simon got a short haircut this season.  His hair is a little less "Beatle"-ish.

I just watched The Werewolf Transformation, and I always wondered if Jim really had the back of his head shaved for the ending scene. I don't really know if there's another way to replicate that, but I also find it hard that he'd be willing to walk around with a patch of his hair missing for several weeks.

 

Also, in the following episode is seems to be completely grown back.

eta: Also, how about the promo? Sheldon is so excited about showing Amy Raiders! He is really hitting the cuteness ball out of the park this season.

The promo was the best part for me.  My little unspoiled heart leapt to my throat.  I can't wait!

One of the main reasons why I love this couple so much. Just yesterday I was watching the S6 finale and they give each other the sweetest looks even when the scene has nothing to do with them.

While we are waiting next episodes, I want to do a little inquiry about two very important questions.
1. What is your favorite Shamy-scene of all times to this day and why?
2. What is the scene you would like to see most of all between these two in the future? Is it kissing, proposing, an intimate moment, wedding scene etc. If it's hard to name one, name one wish for each coming season including the one is going on now.
My favorite scene is the one from Flaming Spittoon Acquisition, where in the movie theater, Sheldon asks Amy to be his girlfriend. That is the sweetest and most lovable scene ever for me. Because if Sheldon wouldn't have gotten to the theater, who knows if she had started dating Stuart for real. It may had been much harder to establish a pair bond with her if she was already with another guy. He didn't want to lose her, he wanted her to be by his side.... And made the contract beforehand for that very moment which he initiated himself. That is one prove for me how much he loves her, although he may have not understood it yet in that point, maybe he doesn't understand it even to this day. The zazzy episode told a lot, but for me, that episode told even more. That is a much from a emotionless robot he many times referred he wanted to be. Create a real relationship with a woman he loves, although he didn't want to admit it to anyone (the university cafeteria scene where he was unfriending Howard, Raj and Leonard in Facebook.) It was too much for him to admit openly to his friends he had feelings for her. In the theater, I see he may have been scared to propose the paradigm change to a boyfriend-girlfriend one, in front of those people in theater, in front of Stuart, and a little afraid of her reaction, what if she denies to be his girlfriend. One can see it from his breathing how it accelerates and his eyes gazes somewhere far to distance.  A feeling of love was so new to him. It made him to do things he wouldn't ever think to do before. He couldn't put love in a box, he couldn't label it, he couldn't understand or calculate or prove it - and it couldn't give him peace while he knew she was going out with another guy.  
For the question two, most of all I would like to see a scene where Sheldon is proposing Amy to marry him. But if it is ever going to happen and happens during love-making as Amy said in 06x01, then I hope to see before it.  For this season I would love to see a scene Sheldon flirting and hitting on Amy - although it may seem like an out of character -moment for him, I can't see why it wouldn't happen in-character. And a situation where it would lead him to kiss her voluntarily, because he wants to.

1. I can't pick! Between their conversation in Herb Garden where they decide to do the experiment, their argument physics vs neurobiology, and Love Spell. The first two because I love science Shamy, and the last one just because. 

2. I would love to see them team up against the rest of the gang (like herb garden). Perhaps something to do with science. And Sheldon being really impressed by what Amy does, maybe being a bit flirty.

1) My favorite Shamy scene would have to be a tie between the Valentine's Day scene and the D&D scene. I love the Valentine's Day scene for what Amy does for Sheldon and I love the D&D scene for what Sheldon does for Amy. My favorite part is when she says lets go back out there and he says no. I see that as him thinking, no we can't leave yet, you are still sad and I want to make you feel better.

 

2) The scene I really really want to see is Sheldon say I love you. I want him to say it first and I want to see the look on Amy's face when he says it.

 

I don't need to see them have sex or even make out. A peck here and there would be nice. I'm pretty easy to please, there's nothing they have ever done with this couple that I didn't like.

 

Also Sheldon holding Amy's hand during the countdown episode will always be a great Shamy moment.

1. Mine isn't really a scene, but I love that Sheldon took care of Amy while she was sick, given how freaked out he gets around people that are sick in fear of catching whatever they have. It's really sweet that he sacrificed his well-being to take care of her.

 

2. I'd also like to see Sheldon tell Amy he loves her. I could almost picture the scene in my head and Amy's reaction. A SIK would also be nice.

Of course he didn't know he did but that doesn't matter.   But he can flirt her with his own bizzare way and still be adorable! I wouldn't mind with hearing ''I love you'' from his lips or just stating aloud that the spot next to his belongs to Amy. Or a SIK. Basically anything initiated by Sheldon that indicates that he has strong feelings towards her but something Amy will understand and that would make her feel happy.

The thing about Sheldon flirting is that I don't think he really knows that he's being flirty.  Except for the occasional coy smile or eye-bat he doesn't really do traditional flirty stuff on purpose.

 

When he was talking to that Indian girl, he wasn't trying to flirt, per se.  I mean, he wasn't trying to tease her or play up to her, he was simply reacting to her resemblance to the princess from the story--if anything, he was flirting with the fictional princess.

I think it's especially evident in his reaction at the end of the episode--he had no idea he'd done anything improper in "stealing" Raj's date.
