^I think even if they don't show the kiss immediately (though it better come soon). I want to see more Shamy physical moments - like that mole inspection scene... or something. Otherwise, I'd like a shamy against the world storyline like the herb garden germination.

You know what Rach? I know the 150th sounds like a great milestone, but I kind of think I'll be disappointed if we get through these sweeps without a SIK. I know that it would be nice to save it for a big episode, but I think the writers have done enough pussyfooting around it and it seems like the audience is going crazy as it is. So I'm hoping we won't have to wait until February now.

I agree, but during the D&D, you could still see the uncertainty in his eyes and his vulnerability.  I feel they will keep that in the actual kiss.  Last night, there wasn't a hint of any of that, and even though I loved it, I don't think he is going to be in that stage for a while.   But I hope I'm wrong!

 

And I agree with you on your post above about Amy.  That scene really summed up her character for me.  When all is said and done, to her heart and emotions, she is like that teenager on the couch kissing a boy for the first time.  Amy played that scene so well, I'm floored, really.  I'm not sure how anyone could not like her character now.

Ok, I'm going completely delusional here, and too obsessed with looping timelines due to my fic, but while thinking about the science in this ep, I was thinking the show could have had a chance to pull a rather nice trick in here with the whole kiss daydream. If they wanted to be scientifically accurate, surely it would take longer than a couple of weeks for Sheldon's element to be discovered. So it would be funny to find out in a later episode that Amy's daydream actually wasn't a daydream but she was just re-living an actual moment over and over again in her head, and that the tag scene actually took place a few months after the beginning of 7x06. The only thing I would hate with that scenario is the implication that Amy distracts Sheldon and makes him worse at work, which I absolutely despise.

Anyways, haha, it's fun to read these comments. Also, just going by twitter the ratio of positive versus negative comments to the scene is like 50:1. So if that was their intention koops, they've definitely succeeded.

Another part of the episode that I found interesting was when they were at the hotel room and sheldon was reading his phone saying that he was getting articles written about him and mentioned that he was getting a raise etc. It probably meant nothing other than to make a joke about how he was upset about positives coming from the error, however I couldn't help but think back to the tenure episode last season when Sheldon and Amy we're talking about how tenure could mean the stability to get married buy a house and start a family. I think Sheldon getting notoriety and more financial stability could be more reasons to further their relationship.

I also wanted to say something about Amy's daydream.. I agree that she is just like a teenager doing her homework with her boyfriend and kissing on the couch. After all Amy is all talk. I mean when it gets serious she is shy and doesn't know what to do and when she is dreaming about it this is how she thinks she will react. And I too wasn't exactly excited about the ''like mommies and daddies do'' line but on second thought this is interesting because this isn't actually Sheldon speaking. This is how Amy is fantasizing about him. I don't believe that Sheldon is so innocent and I dn't think he would actually say that line. From the D&D scene we know that Amy when it comes to real action is shy and doesn't know what to do but Sheldon can be sensual and basically knows what to do (and after that what Amy likes because he has an eidetic memory) so it would be so refreshing when it actually happens to see Amy uncertain and nervous and Sheldon taking the lead. I know I would love it!!

Okay, I have to know can anyone that was spoiled tell us what happened at the taping after they cut?  Did Mayim and Jim just laugh at each other?  Their faces were so close to kissing, lol, seems like it would awkward to just stop all of a sudden.

Oh my.... Let me breath a little more...

Whatever people think of this last scene, it was IMO almost perfect ! Sheldon's voice ( OMG I can't stop listening him saying : " I want to kiss you" ), Amy's shy reaction, the audience reaction ( the world record for the most "oooowww" and "wooooo" in one scene LOL )SO CUTE. Even If I was spoiled, I was holding my breath and then glasp very loudly. They really took my feelings.

I was also worried a little bit that Amy could think that she's distracting Sheldon from work. But then I thought about that :

She knows Sheldon is very pride and has to find an excuse for every of his emotional action, thereby his little speech at the beginning was just a selfish way to tell her that he desperately want to kiss her... Not ideal I agree but It seems very realistic and even more when you're watching it on screen... So a very positive conclusion for this.

The rest of the episode was amazing too. For The Shamy : Amy measuring his mole ? Seriously ? Isn't it an extremely increasing proximity ?? OMG what else has she done for Him ? And more interesting, has he ever done something similar for her ? Anyway, It's all good ! Second point : love the fact that Amy is the only one dealing so easily with Sheldon and convincing him to overcome his fears. Third point : naturally the "most romatic" part was my favorite moment. I can't express how much it makes me happy. Thanks writers for all the faultless Shamy goodness.

The geeky/romantic song from Howard was amazing too. It was an high episode in the emotion category but it was very sweet and well handled. We need that kind of ep once in a while.

I love Amy facial expressions but her last smile in the TAG scene : priceless !! Haha
