Going spoiler free is pretty much the best decision I've made in awhile.  Still going strong!

So I wasn't a fan of this last episode but I have continued to enjoy how most episodes Shamy spends most nights together drinking tea and enjoying each other company. Very domestic they are so cute together! I also loved how sheldon said real sweet "please" even though he was trying to squirt her it was still cute

The most exciting shamy moment was at the end of the episode with the promo for next episode, whoa! I am so excited for next weeks episode and seeing that promo made me so excited I am spoiler free!

The way he said, "please" was sooooooooooooooooo adorable. I LOVE more warm, lovey-dovey Sheldon. Too cute.

Not much Shamy in this one,  but I just love them always having tea and Sheldon looked might dapper in his jacket. I wonder if they were coming back from another date night? And yes, the please was adorable. I wonder what was up with the pranks though, that was really random. Maybe it will make more sense later on. I liked the discussion of "new coping mechanisms" and books not to sweat the small stuff. Keep working on it, Shelly

I didn't see the pranks as random really. They struck me as so Sheldon. LOL. He's always been a child at heart so it just made sense to me. Think about him playing with trains, etc. It's just who he is  :-). I love that the writers show that actually because so many adults are still kids at heart.

I love that this is the second time this season though that he goes "I'm not a child!"/"I'm a grown man." Growing up indeed.

 

Oh I didn't mean random as in that they wouldn't fit Sheldon, I thought it was adorable. I meant as in it seems like such a random thing to build an episode around. Why did he suddenly decide, 3 years later, that he wanted a fake flower to play pranks with?

I wonder about the book comment from Sheldon, since he only mentioned it in one sentence, and basicly only to work towards the smell the flower prank, did he really read such book?

Or was it just something he made up?

Like I said in the other thread, regardless of whether he did or not (I think he might have and that that's where he got the sudden idea for the prank), I liked Amy's mentioning "Is this a new kind of copying mechanism?" as if it's something he works on now. That was definitely interesting.

Yeah, the whole episode was just kinda okay, but not terrible so I don't really have anything to actually complain about. Not only did I like the "please" though from Sheldon but I sort of enjoyed it when he did that little lean towards her when trying to get her to smell the flower. It was tiny but it was still kinda cute

I didn't make much of those comments at the time, but you guys are right,  thinking back and knowing he really did pay for the DVD and that the DVD wasn't bothering him, it is interesting to think of why he read these books and Amy's discussion on coping mechanism  I am hoping it was sort of a continuity on the "its a possibility" and "I am working on it" . Sheldon has definitely shown this season that he is more and more comfortable with Amy and I am excited for the rest of this season :-D I

I think the only reason he was wearing the jacket was so that he could use the flower prank.  It wouldn't have made sense to wear a flower on a t-shirt, so he needed the lapel on the jacket.  And didn't he say something about having a flower in his lapel when he first got the tickets from Leonard--I think he mentioned something to Penny about it (hinting about what he was going to order with his tickets.)

 

I think that him trying to pull the pranks on Amy was possibly because she was the only one around at the moment, but I like the fact that Amy was leaning in to "sniff" the flower, even though she apparently knew that he was going to try to squirt her.  I love that she was kind of tolerant of his attempts, though she didn't go for the peanut brittle can.  Even though she questioned his wasting time with the cheap novelties, it was a gentle chiding, not a real scolding or criticism.

 

It felt very sort of couple-y and homey, like a woman asking her husband why he's so into video games or football or whatever.

At the end of the episode, I just want to go over give Amy a hug and say don't worry you will get satisfaction. I also want someone to hug me and tell me the same thing.

At first I thought that the book was something he came up with just to trick Amy. But what koops said is possible. He read about smelling flowers in the book but of course that would be too  hippie-dippie for Sheldon. So, why not playing a prank on someone i.e. trick the with a fake flower!! That has Sheldon written all over it. I just wish that he hadn't paid for that DVD. As I said to the episode thread all that stuff with the tricks seemed a little random to me too. Not that it isn't IC but it wasn't essential for the story. If Sheldon hadn't paid for that DVD though, playing a prank on someone could really be a coping mechanism. I feel that this episode had so much potential but at the end the writrrs just couldn't pull it off.

The episode was "meh". I just laugh at Leonard at the end but that's it.

Anyway, sometimes it's just small things that get me excited. Like when Sheldon tells Amy's complete name " Amy Farrah Fowler " or when they call themself  "Dr. Cooper" and "Dr. Fowler" or when they shyly smile to each other, eye coitus and so on. Today, It's was Sheldon's "Pleaaaase" that makes me smile like an idiot in front of my PC. How adorable is that ?!? huh

Happy Thursday everyone. This new episode this week really tested my endurance for not looking at spoilers, because I'm pretty sure it is going to be awesome and I'm going to love it. Anyways I made it and I'm super excited to watch this one later tonight. Also on Monday I got tickets for the December 17th taping, so then I will be able to head on over to the spoiler section and post my thoughts and opinions on there. And if need be, I will post a report for all of you.

My favorite part of this episode was not Sheldon giving Amy a smack on the butt. It was right before that when I think Sheldon said, "isn't she great". Sheldon smiles at her and Amy very shy cutely smiles back. Someone mentioned it before and I totally agree, Mayim pulls off Amy being shy whenever Sheldon does anything like that very well. Drunk Sheldon is always amazing and I'm trying to think and correct me if I'm wrong but is this  the first time Amy has ever been around Sheldon when he as drunk.
