Her head whip was unscripted? Why she keeps saying she isn't good at that sort of comedy I do not know. It cracked me up so much! I also love that Mayim listed Jim leaving a mark on her lower back as a "top" thing  :p

The thing that interested me the most was

4. As with the tiara episode, there was no scripted physicality.

So the hug and kiss was not scripted. So cute that she just did what felt right in the moment

Can't thank MaJim enough for that. Thank you so much *snif* tuzki-bunny-emoticon-001.gif

Writers are so tightwad with physicality for these too... ( that's not a a surprise you'll say...)

I think by "physicality" she means her own exuberant reaction to the tiara scene, not the kiss or the hug. If you read the blog post about the tiara scene she actually talks about how she was meant to kiss Sheldon and go to the bathroom to look at herself in the mirror and then one of the producers (I assume Prady, Lorre or Molaro) decided it would be better if she lingered in his arms after the kiss. I don't think the writers would allow the actor to improvise on such "major" physical contact.

Yeah neither do I. You don't think Jim would've improv-ed a million SIKs by now :p

I want to thank anyone and everyone who writes Shamy fanfics because while I did enjoy this new episode, it didn't have the Shamy stuff that I was hoping for. I then started reading Shamy fanfics and reminded myself why I love them so much.

Also pearlgrl, thanks for the Shamy pic. That is one of my favorite scenes.

Pearly, I agree with you.  Their adorable loving looks and eye-coitus is exactly why we loved them.  We love how they look at the world uniquely and are oddballs to everyone else but each other.   I so want to see that "friendship" side of their relationship return and the eye-coitus.   The show has taken them so far back that they are worse off than when they were friends it seems all because they want to play the Amy "not getting any sex" joke too much.  It is beyond frustrating.   I miss the Shamy that were content just getting lost in each others eyes and the Shamy that liked to experiment on their friends, attend book meetings, play counterfactuals, etc.   I miss that Shamy and want them to return and moving forward from there, not this backtracked snappy couple they have become where she mothers him and he snaps at her.   I really hate it.

This episode was amazing. I was so excited the gang told Amy, Sheldon cares about her, because she needed to hear that. Also it's funny how much I analyze the promo pictures that get released with the episode. I saw Amy with Stuart and a candle, and I was like okay so without Sheldon, Amy dates Stuart, and they are celebrating their one year anniversary, but it looks like Amy is crying. hmmmm what is going on I think and then it turns out to be nothing like that.

Also I really want them to show Amy's birthday on the show and Sheldon celebrating it with her. I know the perfect present he could give her! :)

I hope he doesn't do it Howard style .

I can't stop thinking about the last episode.  The screen saver thing is one of the sweetest things I've ever heard.  You don't put someone as your screen saver unless you really cherish the person.  Leonard, who arguably knows Sheldon better than anyone, essentially told Amy that Sheldon loves her--and Sheldon confirmed it by admitting (in his own way) that he missed her.  On the heels of "ain't she great?", "this cute little lump of wool", and "I like you for who you are--quirks and all", it's clear that Shamy are getting very intimate emotionally.  I predict good things for them in the second half of the season.

I have Jim photos (a whole bunch of them) as my screen saver at home...

Two random things popped into my head this week that I would like to share. First is in the Raiders episode this season, when Sheldon makes an unscheduled video chat. He doesn't even notice until Amy points it out. It hadn't bothered him that he was going against his routine. I know he was thinking about making revenge, but I like to also think that he doesn't mind straying away from his routine for her.

The second is in season 6 when Sheldon holds her hand at the movies. He says "handholding not a fan", which in itself gets us happy because he didn't say he hated it. I also think about the fact that even though he is not a fan of handholding, he was still doing it. How many things does Sheldon actually do in which he was not a fan. Either way it's still a beautiful Shamy moment and one I love watching over and over again.

These are just two ways I intrepreted random Shamy moments. I'm sure others have various intrepretations. :)

Ow I think it's pretty clear Sheldon does things to meet Amy half way, that he wouldn't do for others.

The problem (for me atleast) is that he wasn't scared of actually touch her in s5 and s6, and in s7 so far we have gotten next to nothing.

So we can only hope these things are still happening ofscreen.

Hey y'all, had to share this.  A guy came to my house this morning to do a regular check on my heat pump.  I was watching The Launch Acceleration and he said TBBT is the best show on TV.  He was walking past and actually stopped for a minute to watch the scene in Amy's apartment--the one in which she feeds him spaghetti with hot dogs for date night.  He said, "those two's relationship is my favorite.  They're so funny but it's sweet, too."
