I have never before been more obsessed with an episode that hadn't aired yet. I literally had three dreams this week relating to the episode and I didn't even know what was going to happen.

I am beyond excited that Shamy did not break up, although a very very small part of me started thinking about what that could do for them in the future, because lord knows they would get back together.

I enjoyed the "break-up" scene. I remember watching the promo and having a mini heart attack in the middle of it and then having a good laugh at Amy's last line of "oh yes I would like to take a survey".

I analyzed this episode more than I have ever analyzed any episode ever. I first learned there was a table purchased from a fanfic by Chiany. I looked up the meaning of the word polarization. I knew it caused "interesting" discussions on here based off a Tripper comment I accidentally read. When the press release first came out, I felt good because it said "Sheldon nearly breaks up with Amy", but then a few days later I freaked out again because I thought well what if Sheldon goes to break up with Amy changes his mind, and then Amy breaks up with him.

It's been a long month and a half waiting for this episode and it did not disappoint me. I'm excited to see what happens next.   :)

First of all, made out?! MADE OUT?!!!!

It surprised me, not because I thought they did something more on that trip to Napa, I'm sure they didn't, but why writers would choose this line? And then I realized, that it's obvious, because it's Shamy we are talking about, for them the kiss IS a making out session, hahaha, I so love that! It reminds me Amy's propose to go for a walk and Sheldon's train of thoughts from this to sex. Okay, not exactly the same, but I can see the relation.

The way Amy was standing at the door worried, insecure... my poor girl, I felt an urge to hug her. Even if she knew he was coming to break up, it was more than unpleasant to her. But then she played cool, good enough for Sheldon, muahaha.

It wasn't simple for him, too, but it was him, who initiated the break up, so maybe next time he'll think better.

The look Sheldon gave to Amy, after her proposal to moving in, was priceless! It was like: "Yeah I love you and I follow you, but don't be so sure, we are not there yet". So cute, I can't...

OMG THE HANDS TOUCH!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

They look to be on a higher level now, definitely. I mean after the kiss.

Oh, oh... His face after him boiling over Amy telling Penny about them "making out"(still giggling about that)!! Penny said: "It's the most interesting thing happen to her in her entire life" and for moments he seemed to live through the kiss again!! Or like he was thinking about the line "the most interesting" and inside of him he was "really? it meant so much to her? she liked it! yay!" and he was jumping from the excitement inside. His "clouded" eyes told everything.

Someone already said it, so I quote: I'd wish they sit closer to one another on the couch.

Okay, I'm out of breath... :swoon:

Oh, almost forgot. Eye-coitus in the tag scene, O.M.G!!!

If you watch Sheldon carefully, he usually looks at people's entire face when he speaks/listens. He often glances down at their mouths and then looks back at their eyes. I've always noticed that with him. He especially does it with Amy.

I found it exciting, and thought that people would like it. Especially considering, that Shamies tend to love these little details. Even if it means nothing.

Oh trust me, I make a big deal out of little things as well. I had a fangirl moment last night when I kept thinking about the sad face Sheldon made in the split second after Amy said she's moved on when he tries to break up with her. For that split second he looks so crushed.

I'm okay with the "made out" line, because that's how Amy told it to Penny, which tells me that Amy thinks of it as more than just a kiss. All I have to say is I want to SEE more handholding! They keep claiming they do it and I dont' see it.

Thank you, Dana! :give_rose:

Haha, yeah, that's how I understood it too. Apparently for Amy the kiss is what she gave to Sheldon in 4x21, the quick peck. And in the train was something more than just the kiss to her. That's so sweet! And Sheldon didn't said anything to refute it.

But right away after Penny said it, I was shocked :shok:

More handholding, yessss!!! :firstmove: I used to think it'd be not enough, but this episode showed how incredibly touching it could be.

@ Frieda

I obviously don't pay attention as much as I think I do because I was like when do their hands touch. lol

Then I saw your picture! Thanks! I would definitely have noticed the second time I watch it.

And yes handolding will be incredibly touching! I also want Sheldon to tell the gang that the spot next to him is hers.

This is my wishlist.

Oh, I didn't mean to come off rude if I did. I'm sorry. I love these tiny little things, trust me. :p

I know. It's OK. The problem is, that if someone else from "shamy-family" would post this or else, the other "siblings" would be like "YAY WOW I love it". And the others should deal with it. I noticed that. But it's not against you, Maddie, I just remembered, why I left this forum a year ago...

LOL Amazing, right? I also want Amy to sit on Sheldon's spot and him do not care. But I can't imagine what could bring her to do it... hmm...

Ah, I know what you mean. And it really shouldn't be that way.

I was just pointing out that he often times looks at people's lips when they talk, especially Amy. But now that I think about, it seems he only does that with Amy. I was just now trying to think of a time when he did that with anyone else but her, but I can't. He definitely gazes at her with a certain intensity he doesn't have for the others. And I've definitely seen a number of times him glancing down at her lips. It's just one of many tiny little things Jim gives to the role. It's amazing.

I'm glad you understand my english and I'm sorry for being too sensitive. Honestly, I'm not so into Jim to look at him all the time, hehe, so idk how he looks at the other characters. But I still think that in this scene in Amy's apartment he was staring... no, not exactly staring, more like he was throwing his glance on her lips a few times. And it felt like it was subconsciously he was remembering the kiss  . I am sure may be wrong, but I'm a little surprised, that noone still mentioned it.

But anywho... it's clear, he stares at Amy in a different special way. And after the kiss it may be more romantic in there.

Ehm... why to put @ in front of the name???

A couple of IMHO's

About the tag, Sheldon's reflection about her lips tasting about brownies and the astute observers noticing that there were no brownies on the table....According to Mayim's blog they spent 14 hours on the train set, SOMEONE had to notice that the desserts on the train table were not brownies.  So did something else happen on the trip?

About the way Sheldon looks at Amy, it's a Jim thing.  He looks at people quite intensely when not in character (look for the video's of when Jim, Simon and Kunal went to Canada, as an example) but he brings that to Sheldon as well, a kind of "eyes roaming" behavior as opposed to a fixed gaze.

But when they did the taping on the train the tag scene with the brownie was not set, they used another tag scene according to the report.

The tag scene with the brownie was added the week after, when the scene on the train already was done. So the mistake was not forgetting to put brownies on the table, it was a mistake in the script. But still, a quite huge mistake.

Ambidextrous Amy?

So did Amy sign with her right hand so Sheldon could stop her in that manner/set up the scene? Because later she's using her left hand to eat with her fork.

 I'm just being smug because I wrote her as being ambidextrous.

I'm just surprised that after a week of editing the train footage, they would "forget" that the dessert shown on the train was NOT a brownie?  I love speculation and innuendo!

Yeah that is quite shocking! Maybe they did notice but didn't think anybody else would!

But my guess is that they came up with the brownieline too late, and it would have been too much work putting up the whole train set one more time just to re-tape the scenes where the dessert is showing. And changing the script so that Sheldon said "Amy's lips tasted like tart" wasn't an option... cause well, it doesn't sound that good. So they just went for it the way it was and hoped no one would notice.

Tbh: I don't think the avarage viewer really did notice that. I know I wouldn't, if I was one
