I do not really want to get into the whole debate over who treats who better although I think, when you look at the entire relationship from episode 1 until now, Leonard has been better to her than she has been to him.  That's not to say that I think Penny is a jerk or that Leonard is a saint.  I do love Penny, really.  My main problem with what I have read thus far is that I find it almost unbelievable that Penny would not know about those chapels.  She's the party girl, the Vegas expert of the group.  I don't see how she doesn't know about those chapels.  I think that's a slip.  They should have just stuck with it being another mistake brought on by her excessive drinking.  That, I'd believe.  Truth be told, I am sure that this will all work out, but it seems another attempt at shock value rather than anything that needed to happen to the two.  It's almost another Raj incident though believe it or not, I don't think this is as bad.  I am now prepared to be attacked by the Penny fans

I do not really want to get into the whole debate over who treats who better although I think, when you look at the entire relationship from episode 1 until now, Leonard has been better to her than she has been to him.  That's not to say that I think Penny is a jerk or that Leonard is a saint.  I do love Penny, really.  My main problem with what I have read thus far is that I find it almost unbelievable that Penny would not know about those chapels.  She's the party girl, the Vegas expert of the group.  I don't see how she doesn't know about those chapels.  I think that's a slip.  They should have just stuck with it being another mistake brought on by her excessive drinking.  That, I'd believe.  Truth be told, I am sure that this will all work out, but it seems another attempt at shock value rather than anything that needed to happen tot he two.  It's almost another Raj incident though believe it or not, I don't think this is as bad.  I am now prepared to be attacked by the Penny fans

No attacking here love Penny but she is not perfect, never has been but then again neither is Leonard. I also think this is going to be shock value more then anything, but its still a shock.

This may also explain why Penny is lashing out at Leonard, she knows she is right and Leonard wont let it go, not that it excuses her being at vegas at all, but vegas is their for a reason haha, first time we have heard she has ever been their.

Yeah but going in knowing your getting marrried to someone you actually want to get married with, where as in Vegas it was done under the pretense of it not being real, not that excuses anything and your right Penny has a lot to answer for with Leonard, and the fact she was drinking and partying. Back home in Pasedena we have always seen she is a commitment phobe, so it makes no sense to say she went along with Zack, yet she wont with Leonard two different things really.

I agree that this could be like the Raj incident.  I have already commented earlier that I think this whole storyline is bad.  The creators and writers really dropped the ball on this on IMO.

Penny doesn't know it's fake. She thought it was fake, because she thought that Las Vegas Weddings are fake. She didn't know they were real, but now that she does know, she thinks her wedding is real, but doesn't remember the wedding Zack and her had was fake. Leonard wouldn't look like a fool and by insisting she get it annulled everyone finds out it's fake.
