This episode should air the week before "Proton". We know from that taping that nothing major had happened up until then. It feels as if it has a 'Shenny'-ness to it but, like I mentioned, the report was a tad scattered and confusing to follow (for me). I seems we can't have sweet Penny from previous seasons but Leonard does something she is not happy with, she still runs off. I am getting sick of this going to Sheldon crap with her too. She seems now to dismiss the verbal crap he gives her, she doesn't get really mad at him anymore, while she still gets set off at any little thing Leonard does wrong. Leonard and Penny shouldn't be acting this way towards each other. What happen to Penny dreamily looking at him saying 'I forget how smart you are some times'. That is where they should be, not her running to Sheldon. I really feel like we have been given little things this season, like Penny's Leonard box in the closet, to keep us from getting too upset, but the tone of the whole season has been Penny and Sheldon, while Lenny has been given lip service. Guest Posted April 2, 2014 Share Posted April 2, 2014 While I understand the frustration, I'm more patient and hope for something really sweet in the last episodes. Even if nothing major happens to them in the next 3 episodes, they are still in a very good place and we still have the Proton ep, which is HUGE and very emotional. The next major step for Leonard and Penny is to get engaged. This will take some time and they will do everything to drag it out. I'm not sure for how long, but I feel we are close. Now we got them arguing more, Penny running away and Leonard letting her and that horrible scene where he begs her not to break up with him. There is no passion between them, a box of Leonard's stuff in her closet is not passion, buying her a car is not passion. Shamy have been boyfriend/girlfriend longer than Lenny, and we have seen passion with them, so what about Lenny. You know what I get out of season 7, they finally made Penny one of Sheldon's minions. I complained about Sheldon stealing the show, here a couple of years ago. I was shot down and kept my mouth shut until recently when I read others feeling the same way.   While I am happy with Lenny, I think Howard & Raj's rolls have moved too far from the original concept also. I remember the episode when Leonard was thinking about breaking up with Penny since because of psychics. Penny may have left with Sheldon but called Leonard to tell him what they were doing. It sounded at least to me Leonard preferred being with Bernadette and Amy at the time so he could stop having to listen to Penny talk about the movie. He actually mentioned it was nice to be with Amy. I think if there was more Amy/Leonard interactions the Penny/Sheldon interactions would bother people less. As @Tensor pointed out earlier the Proton episode seems to be a big L/P episode. Some of us are just going to have to be patient till then. I think many of us, myself included, get fixated on certain things. Sheldon appears to be the top of the list. There are other things going on in these episodes. Sometimes you just have to look for it. I think at times the taping reports can be skewed a bit. They tend to be attended by Shamy fans. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, at this point I'm not holding much hope for any Lenny alone time in this episode of any consequence. But on the other hand I wouldn't read much into Penny leaving with Sheldon angry. The writers put that in because of the group only Penny believes in psychic powers. Therefore, she would be the choice to take Sheldon to one. It really had nothing to do with Lenny but everything to further the Sheldon issue (what else is new.) As for the Penny that use to stand up to Sheldon. I think they are now showing a much more grown up Penny. She reminds Sheldon that's not how we are nice to people and then she tells Leonard something like what did we talk about not being a weenie? They have her as the mother figure to Sheldon (again) and they have her pushing to be the more assertive Leonard. However, I do agree reading the next Proton episode so long in advance has really put a damper on waiting to read the tapping reports. Since we now know nothing happens until after that episode airs. I was so hoping something big would happen this season. Now I'm afraid that may not be the case. Shamy is front and center. Unless of course little Shelly can't cope with all this stress about relationships and runs back to mommie and mee-maw in Texas. (Actually I've always wanted to see his mee-maw.) But, even then, we all know who they would have to go fix poor broken Shelly? Not Amy but his surrogate parents Lenny. Pushing once again the Lenny relationship further out again. I don't think so. I think the Proton episode will lead to something with Lenny in the last two episodes. Penny's big break, moving in together, a proposal. That I don't know. I would suspect not much IMO. Do you really think that as smart as Leonard is that he didn't realize that there was money missing from his wallet and low and behold Penny gives him a watch as a birthday gift? Especially since they were fine in the Proton episode. Leonard is too nice of a person and cares to much about Penny to say a word that would embarrass her. However, now that Bernie was vindictive the cats out of the bag. So does he now bring it up to Penny or doesn't he? I sure would like to see the rest of the report.
