I don't know about that, seems to me all the episodes so far, bar this one, have had a lot of L/P stuff going on. One thing I do notice is, despite the actual episode content, the promos seem very Shamy focused, IMO.

Well, that's because the active story is Shamy i.e. Sheldon's a jerk, and Amy doesn't kill him for it. If it had been Bernie instead of Amy, (Shernie), Sheldon would be a smoking grease spot for what he said and did. As it was Howard needs someone like Bernie to give him a kick in the pants for course correction. I keep waiting for Amy to go off on Sheldon for all the crap he puts her through. About 10 times her reaction in last seasons episode 15.

 

Amy: Then what the hell, Sheldon? We have been going out for over two years, and I have been nothing but patient with you. I watch your dopey space movies. I signed your ridiculous contract. I even stopped wearing lip gloss ’cause you said it made my mouth look too slippery. I am the best girlfriend you’re ever gonna have. You give me one good reason why I can’t live here.

No new episode on October 31th (Thursday/Halloween) -  Repeat of 6.13 "The Bakersfield Expedition"

 

New episode on November 7th (Thursday) -  7.07 "The Proton Displacement"

 

 

 

So it looks like due to Halloween no new episode that night.

Probably just "why didn't you talk to them Leonard" and then he's like oh alright and then he does. Situation sorted. That's the way these things always go. Simples! Anyway he probably did. Why wouldn't you want to make things more fun by laser shooting balloons? I want to do that!

I really love how they finish talking to Sheldon... and returning to cuddling. And I love that she's just drinking some tea. Casual and couple-y, cute little night in. Oh how I love these two

I think some of us L/P relationship followers are gun-shy (I know I am) so the last two episodes worry us, even thought there doesn't seem to be any relationship problems, so for once I have to compliment the writers. It seems like they are telling us 'Hey everyone, in case you are wondering, Leonard and Penny are still in a real good place'. I was really hoping to see a scene like that right after he got back, but I'll take it now too.

Is it me, or has Penny's character changed a little. Since the ILY she doesn't seem to get as mad at Leonard or stay mad at him like she use to, when he screws up or she just gets angry with him because she screws up. It is not so intense, and she seems to cool down quickly, like she understands now they are really no big deal.

Bernie has gone off about Sheldon to Amy during the parking spot episode. However, I would love to she her go off on Sheldon after he says something bad to Howard, sort of protecting her man. Am I the only one who would like see him punished for doing some the crap he does to the guys, instead of everyone saying he is a 'Wack-a-Dooble' and letting him go?

Penny punched him in the face in The Precious Fragmentation haha, but I agree Sheldon need's physical proof of his condesending nature, because he is eccentric and socially awkward people give him a free ride, although it is like Penny said "Everyone think's your this weird annoying robot and you totally are, but then it's like that movie where he is so full of love", to me that is the heart of Sheldon and why the gang let him get away with stuff, it come's from a good place at the end of the day.

I think perhaps focussing on the Shamy in the promos is quite good because it keeps us on our toes and keeps the Leonard & Penny stuff somewhat of a surprise. Like... I really wanted to see a bit of them in the promo but at the same time not seeing it means it will be a hundred times better next week! Also, the taping reports, even when detailed, tend to miss out on really exciting parts (like the kitchen kissing in the Raiders episode) so who knows what extra fun parts we have at the end of the box scene. 

 

Really looks like Leonard & Penny have settled into a happy relationship now and are beginning to understand how things work and get comfortable with this kind of commitment, bit by bit. 

 

Gaaaaaahhhh now I'm thinking about next weeks episode again... need to write to let out some of my excitement!

Marmaduke - like Sheldon said. They just cant bring themselves to take Sheldon back to the pound, or take him for that one way trip. BUT how can he be an adult, without responsibilty? "Giant baby" as a remarkably relaxed Leonard said in their card game.

(and I think Leonard has been happily reaquainted with both the left and the right). Heheheh.

I just re-watched the episode and didn't notice any change. JMO though.

They are past the stage of serious L/P drama, it seems. Those two are starting, as Nograv has stated, the nesting stage. There will be husband/wife style blow-ups for them now. Last week's episode could have been right out of the "King of Queens", "Everybody Loves Raymond" playbook. Or even "The Honeymooners".

The real action this season will be from the Shamy. If the writers continue to have Sheldon resisting grown up change while making Amy more and more mature there will be a lot of friction ahead. This episode had Sheldon regress to the most self absorb state he has ever been while saying cruelly damaging barbs to Amy.

L/P trying to school Sheldon is a near imposisible task..

They are past the stage of serious L/P drama, it seems. Those two are starting, as Nograv has stated, the nesting stage. There will be husband/wife style blow-ups for them now. Last week's episode could have been right out of the "King of Queens", "Everybody Loves Raymond" playbook. Or even "The Honeymooners".

That is the perfect analogy for what we have seen with Leonard and Penny in episodes 7.03 and 7.04.  I could picture both episode's plots being used in "The King of Queens".  Leonard and Penny were interacting like a married couple and even in 7.05 we can see some of that domestic bliss between them.  It is really nice considering all the past drama.

 

I'm sort of thinking, I would like to see Leonard and Penny have a long engagement, instead of a long wait for them to get engaged.  It would give them a strong commitment, which I think the fans would like (I know I would like it).

I have no problem with calm L/P for a while. That will make the engagement more dramatic (kind of what they did with Howdette, by making us think they were going to break-up), And a long engagement would be fine as long as there's a wedding. Of course the rat-bastards writers could use it as calm before the storm (break-up).

Don't know, probably during a sweeps period. So, v-day or end of Season at soonest. Could be a future Season. Would need some separation from any big event in the others lives (Howdette baby, Shenny sex/marriage, Raj into real permanent relationship for examples). One big event per sweeps period to stretch out the ratings fodder. Of course If someone gets pregnant, that could rush things ahead.

I tend to agree with you.  Last episode of this season she buys the ring and we go nuts over the summer, Then season 8 we continue to go nuts on what episode she is going to do it.  Probably around Valentine's day, 2 years after he puts it on her to propose.
