Excited about the Amy part too, but sounds very good that Sheldon is starting to realize her importance.

YAY to this!!! :dancer: I like these things that wander in Seldon's head!!!

Could anyone please explain me, what "dinner table" means? Did Penny want to order something else for dinner or what? I don't understand :unknw: ...

No it's a table to have dinner upon, something bigger than their actual table in fact.

Ahhh... Got it! The table itself. Thank you guys=)

Then no, I don't like this idea of Penny. I like the table they have now.

Well it doesent exactly sound boring too me, I guess if your favorite archs in the show are not featured it wouldent compell you that much. Doesent bother me lack of Amy or Shamy, but then again my response to taping reports or episodes are not based on what characters are involved, just the quality of the episode.

Thanks for saying that. I've seen people rip good (or decent) episodes to shreds simply because they feel nothing good is happening with their ship. It's not a fair way to judge an episode in my opinion....especially one we haven't seen.

Thank you for bringing the spoilers over here. Not excited about yet another L/P/S plot but it seems like they really are emphasizing the friction Sheldon has with both of them in different episodes. I'm still smelling living arrangements shifts coming at some point.

As for the table, I'm team Coffee Table all the way. No changing the apartment! No, no, no! :p

Exactly.  Unless they cleaned out that entire little alcove room where they have the telescope, etc. I can't see them having room anywhere for a dining room table. I don't think they are likely to clean that area out. It is full of stuff and while I agree that they really could do some tossing out of things, you know how they are.  They think of everything is important.  So I just think it ends up being an argument, Leonard standing up, but not winning.   It probably will be that they don't get a table after all.   Perhaps the whole purpose is to show that L/S want different things now and are going through growing pains of wanting lives that include their women more and thus those cause conflicts with them as roommates.  It may be  yet another building-block story for L/P to move into her apartment together or get a larger place of their own.  We know Sheldon won't move (and he shouldn't have to as that was his apartment first).   Also Amy's  hints about living alone play into all of this in some way as well.

I suspect she must have been part of this story as well because I can't see her being involved in the Howard story as much.  I think she probably is part of this story, but that sprinkles just didn't mention her.

Looking at the diagram of the Apt. there are a couple of things. First Leonard's chair is always over next to the couch and end table (no open space to it's right). Second when we see the other chair, it's always next to Leonard's (again no open space, and no little table that I recall). Third, the 'island' with the stools is on rollers so it could be moved somewhere else in the room. So there is room for a table, especially if they move/ get rid of the island.

Ha! I just noticed a set mistake in this photo! The DNA Sheldon made in Luminous Fish should not exist prior to meeting Leonard.

I don't think that's the one he made in Luminous Fish--is it? The one he was making in that episode was for a silicone-based life form. Was there a DNA model in the apartment in the early episodes?

Anyway, as for the LPS plot, if Penny is wanting the guys to get a proper table, then Sheldon isn't inserting himself into the L/P story. It's his apartment as much as it is Leonard's, so he would certainly have a say. The one who is intruding in this case is Penny, if you want to nitpick, since it's not her apartment. It's fine that she might prefer to sit at a normal table, like the little one she has at her place, but it's not her place to force it on Sheldon if he doesn't want one.

It's really Leonard and Sheldon's issue to sort out, and apparently they do, in the end. But in this case it's really Penny inserting herself into things because she wants to change their apartment.

So, is Amy actually in this episode, or is her influence on him only referred to?

Anyway, as for the table itself, I would also prefer it if they didn't change things, but they do have that space over by the window that they almost never seem to use. There's a desk and some kind of computer or game console there, but we never see them really using it. They could move that stuff and cram a little table in there. But I'm curious now about whatever compromise they come to. :p

The DNA?

In season 1 episode 4 'The Luminous Fish Effect' Sheldon builds a DNA Model.

Mrs Cooper: Oh, well that looks awful fancy, what is that?

Sheldon: It’s my idea of what DNA would look like in a silicon based life form.

Mrs Cooper: But intelligently designed by a creator, right?

That model is seen against the wall, in front of the whiteboard (over Sheldon's shoulder).

Could be the same, haven't compared them.

But maybe it's just something he started on back then, and just left it for a bit.

Or changed his mind about it. Don't really think it's a mistake.
