Hey, new to the forum here!

 

While reading the taping report, the one small thing that stood out to me and made me really happy was that during the tag scene Amy is shown sitting on the couch with Sheldon. It's so nice seeing the Shamy united, and not having Amy seem like the others who are annoyed by Sheldon most of the time.  Just something I wanted to point out to brighten up a day filled with traumatizing bazingas and freaking out over taping reports 

 

And I agree that they're moving towards Leonard and Penny moving in together and Sheldon and Amy moving in together. The biggest hint towards this is Amy mentioning Sheldon moving in with her again. Lenny also seems to have gotten a tad bit better if they're united against Sheldon and exhibiting domestic behavior like selecting tables together.

The bazinga was the fake meltdown of the Shamy's..Sheldon and Amy won't break up..He will go over to her apartment intenting to break up with her but she will make him change his mind...Something like that I am a little confused myself...

I'm confused, what's going on with these pictures? Are you guys happy about this episode? What do you think? IMO the writers must have been on crack or something?!

IMHO I think Sheldon needs to take a break from Amy for a while, maybe a year or two. He needs to date other women and get some experience and maturity under his belt. For someone that always believes that "his brain is better than anybody's", Amy runs rings around that boy. He doesn't stand a chance against her. She knows exactly how to manipulate him to do what she wants and always has. I even think her five year plan is in fact ahead of schedule. She has Sheldon's head all screwed up...and I love it!

Might be unpopular opinion but tbh I don't think Shamy even breaking up for an episode would effect the show too much, Lenny werent together back in S2 and the show was fine. Although Shamy have been together 3 years now, so they have invested so much time in getting Sheldon ready for a physical relationship, it would seem pointless at this point. I guess TBBT is not a rom com, but at the same time these characters are becoming more prevalent in their relationships and their careers, so its becoming a lot more relevant then just nerdy geeky comedy now. I think they need to start doing more storylines revolving around just nerdy geeky humour again, I think the relationships are fine at this point, still keep progressing Shamy, but an EP like Scavenger Hunt was awesome. But I can understand with sweeps coming they want to make an impact, and drama well make that impact, I am actually for the first time not so worried about Lenny, more about Shamy I have warmed to them the past couple years. I think the problem is they have never really had a physical relationship, two people dating for 3 years it does not really make any sense, but of course Sheldon is not like other people now is he lol. I think this reaction says to me, Sheldon is realizing he is becoming the very person he never wanted to be Leonard lol, go back to the Sheldon of Season One he would of never imagined himself in a position of kissing another women and being okay with it, so when Penny made it aware to him how much Amy has changed him, maybe he feels threw a knee jerk reaction he has betrayed Science and most importantly himself. Sheldon hates change, look at how he orders his life, everything has to be so meticlous. Amy is the thing or person in his life that is not order, it scares him and for the first time in the whole show that makes Sheldon human. I think this is a big step for their relationship, Sheldon just needs too keep pushing himself, and challenging his boundaries and they well get their. As for the table it better be a big ass one .

Well, looks like the chances of Sheldon and Amy living together in the foreseeable future just got slimmer. This makes me more confident that they will not move Leonard out. Sheldon cannot function by himself (nor would there be humor in him living alone for more than an episode), but would not be willing to have Amy move in. Raj would not want to move.

Yeah you maybe right their, I am guessing the table may mean Penny moves in with Leonard and Sheldon, only possible scenario really or obviousley Leonard with Penny but that would all depend on Sheldon. So all you Lenny shippers out their, start supporting Shamy because the only way Lenny are getting engaged other then Penny getting a role in a tv show, and getting a regular stream of income, is when Shamy progress.

First of all, the point is that Sheldon is not interested in other women, which has been clearly evident even before Amy came into the picture. Second, Amy is NOT the only one running the relationship, Sheldon makes his feelings/opinions quite known and doesn't step out of his comfort zone very often, if Amy had her way, things would be much further progressed. I think your handle on Shamy is way off.

And yes I have my pitchfork.

I haven't read the report myself. Not sure I want to now that everyone is so worked up or pretend worked up over it. Haha.

To comment on what I do know: a dinner table: I wouldn't mind this. Sometimes change is nice and if the table is symbolic of great things to come for Lenny and Shamy then I say, bring it on.

Leonard stood up to Sheldon: good. He needs to do that more often and encourage Sheldon to strap on a pair as well. LOL.

Sheldon freaked out when he realized Amy is changing him and wanted to break up with her: not surprised. I look forward to seeing how all of this plays out on screen. Hopefully the end result will be good for them.

.... and that's all I got based on what's in this thread. Haha.

Are you sure he is not interested in other women? Maybe after going to the strip club with JEJ and then actually kissing a woman he is starting to think about things? You never know about those things?

Maybe they added the table because it was getting too congested around the coffee table. If they do add the vet for Raj as his girlfriend then it really will be crowded. Perhaps this is a sign Raj finally gets a girlfriend?

Why on earth would anyone think a phony meltdown was funny?  Last year there were real meltdowns over less, so it's completely believable that people would be freaking out over this.  Some around here take this stuff very very very very very seriously, and it wouldn't surprise me if at least some of the entries in the "prank" were legitimate.

I totally agree with you. It's way to soon for Amy to move in with Sheldon and I don't think anything will happen with the Lenny living arrangement until Sheldon is ready to move a lot further along with Amy. However, that doesn't mean that can't get engaged. They don't have to automatically start living together just because they are engaged and marriage could be drawn out to the end of next season or so.

I think Shamy will live together, at some point. However, I don't think it will be this season and possibly not even until the end of next season (maybe even farther off than that)

I was at first "Molaro is a Shenny shipper!!" "I'm done!!" "Writing inconsitent!!" lol. At first I was like woah what happened, first thought so Big Bang Theory = Shamy now?, but it's called sarcasim, I guess some people dont appreciate the art of it, but your right some people may have reacted differently to it, but it wasen't done to offend anyone.

I totally agree with you. However, that doesn't mean that can't get engaged. I think Penny moving in with LS is a stronger possibility than Leonard moving in with her, especially with the input she now seems to have on the subject of their apartment. Not to mention Sheldon's inquiry about where they will all live, and we know he almost always get his way. I think they'll have an episode where Leonard moves in with Penny, but by the end of the episode they'll both be moved in with Sheldon because he has a meltdown. 

 

The episode will conclude with Penny saying, "You, me, and Sheldon makes three."

Yeah I know its an unpopular move for people because of the whole L/P/S arch people are getting sick of, but like I have said before its a winning formula for the writers. And when it comes to the masses, it is the most familiar arch in the show, it worked in Season 3 so their is no reason an indefinate change to the living arangements with L/P/S living together woulden't work, still maintain the L/S arch, but at the same time Penny still has her apartment next door, maybe eventually Shamy can move in Penny's apartment maybe. I don't know I'm a sucker for Sheldon/Penny interaction in the morning, in Leonard's top in the morning and making panackes, "Penny it's not Pancake Thursday!".
