Well they need hurry it up!  Sheldon comes off more and more childish each time he does this and we are moving into season seven already and you have to wonder how much longer are they going to milk this tired storyline. Also Sheldon and Amy don't get their time together interrupted constantly by others to include Lenny.

But L/P/S are always going to be together in some way. That's how the whole show started. Even in this scenerio most people would have been like Sheldon wondering who was in her apartment. Sheldon just doesn't have the social skills of Leonard and Penny (and Amy). I just think the closer the Shamy get the better off the Lenny is.

Roxanne posted on the other forum that it was HOWARD that found Penny's old film when she first moved in, not Leonard.  So while Leonard has obviously known about it for some time, he wasn't the one googling her.  It's certainly more up Howard's alley to have done such a thing.

 

As for Sheldon and L/P, I don't think they're necessarily weaning him from Leonard and Penny or from Leonard.  I think it's just a funny juxtaposition of who would miss him more and who would want to see him right away.  Of course Sheldon thinks it should be himself, while, of course, it should be Penny.

 

And Sheldon taking Leonard's "deception" to an extreme degree is just typical of Sheldon blowing everything out of proportion.  It's no better or worse than the way he always deals with such issues.  But it's nothing that's going to be some permanent rift or issue, I imagine.  It's funny for the moment.  Just like I doubt we'll continue to see Raj checking Howards boobies for firmness.

Could the intent of the scene is one of the other people on the ship found it and is showing it to Leonard and he is "Yep!  that's my girlfriend", not realizing where the clip is going?

I think it comes up in the original Dracula novel by Bram Stoker--or, at least, we talked about it when I read that book for a class in college.

Well, if you're talking about any ship in general, try not to imply that it has anything to do with Shamys in particular.  Why act as if Shamys have a "syndrome" if you're trying to imply that all ships have the problem?  If you're addressing Lenny "overreactions" keep it specific.

There are only some individuals who tend to overreact to certain things.  Try narrowing the brush you're wielding if you want to be better understood.

How are people missing the play on words with the Vagisil comment?  It revolves around the ambiguity of the word "it".  When Sheldon says "think of me when you are applying it", he means when she is applying the coupon to her bill.  The obvious alternative meaning being when she is applying the Vagisil.  In Sheldon's mind, "it = coupon", in everyone else's mind, "it = Vagisil".

 

 

They are missing it because there is no way you can provide definitive proof that their interpretation is wrong and yours is right.

That's exactly it. He was so proud of her...or just proud that she is his period. His chin was up, head tilted a little back looking at the screen with a big smile on his face and his arms were crossed. No one around him even seemed phased in a negative way. They were all impressed.

I'm hoping Leonard would stomp all over anyone putting down his girl. Figuratively, of course. He has defended her against Sheldon before with the behavior modification and against Howard and Raj in his head in the Recombination Hypothesis. I think it gives him a chance to go big in defending her against all comers, because he is unconditionally besotted. His friends love Penny too, so they should not make an issue of it either. Howard and Raj are in no position to judge Penny, Amy won't, Bernie has forgiven Howard so would be hypocritical to harp on this and Sheldon knows anyway. I think unless a relative or someone with career blocking power makes an issue of it, its a dead letter. IMO.

Well unless Penny finnally hits it big, and this movie comes to surface, Audition: "Penny did you do a nude scene in a move?" Penny: "Umm year it was a shower scene" "Sorry I am offended by that next!" haha. Leonard has kept the fact he knew about the movie all these years most likely because 1. He only first met her and back then he was still a socially awkward nerd who desired the hot blonde next door, and most likely when they first me he wanted to know more about her, and being a geek had all access to her information, not to the level of being a stalker lol but checking her FB page, and most likely came across the movie. Then viewing it showed it to Sheldon who quickly dismissed it, as it had no relationship with his godly status in Physics . But as Leonard got to know Penny and the developed a friendship, he prob either forgot about it or diddn't want to embarass her or it just diddn't come up. Back then Penny was the new hot girl who wanted to be an actress, it is really riduclous to blame Leonard or Penny as they were compltely different people back then. The thing I have always admired about Leonard is his beleif in Penny, he has never valued or seen Penny as an object, but he saw beyond her external qualities, I never thought of Leonard as oh I scored the hot chick! That was part of it, but he has always geniunely cared for Penny. Like ^ said in the ep in S3 when Sheldon was trying Behavoural Modification Techniqe on Penny, thats the thing with Sheldon he has never seen Penny as perfect, he has always been vicousley honest with her, so he assumed Leonard would be appealed by the idea of a better girlfriend. But Leonard said her intricacies and traits make her who she is, that was prob up their with one of my all time fav BBT eps. So if the issue of the movie comes up I think Penny well be flattered that Leonard has the movie, it shows he is interested in her career or lack of haha, regardless of the questionable ways of showing it

It doesn't seem likely that Leonard will tell Penny he's been showing her movie to others. No 'Penny you should have seen how impressed the guys on the expedition were when I showed them your movie, especially the shower scene.' The only way she'll find out is if they meet at a social event and the other person brings it up. Leonard may not be a genius about relationships, but he's not an idiot either.

We all know why Leonard took the video with him on the boat.        Seems like Leonard is thriving in an unfamiliar social situation. Penny-wan has taught him well.

There's so much more going on in these two episodes--WHY is everyone still talking about the video?  I doubt it's going to come up that he showed off her video on the boat, since that's the tag scene and those things are usually throwaways.

At some point it could maybe, possibly come up in conversation, but unless it's tied to some kind of major development, which I doubt it would be, it's going to fall into the background and all of this supposition and wringing of hands will be for naught.
