S7 Spoilers

I've been lurking for a while. Just got tired of circular arguments.

They're still circular................

It's not the couch it's where the couch sits that's his spot, remember back in the flash back ep Sheldon had his lawn chairs and one was in his spot.

Then he can sit in his lawn chair, by himself. If it was just the location then he could have just changed cushions when Penny shot his spot with a paint gun, or when Howard sat on it in the nude.

I can only dream. :p

I still say it would be a great story arc for Penny to film it through part of season 8 and then the premiere is the season finale.

Why would Sheldon pull chicken out of the trash.

Why would Sheldon suddenly lose his eidetic memory

It's an inconstancy with the writing all Chuck Lorre shows have an ass continuity you just roll with it

...or you could just say the comedy comes first.

The title of 7x23 is

"The Gorilla Dissolution."

Coming from Moryas trustworthy source..

OOH very interesting. Well seeing as Gorilla is in the title, there's a good shot Ape-ist is a central component. Dissolution is the breakdown of something. Maybe we see Sheldon start to break down his walls about intimacy. I'm liking the sound of this already :dancer: . Hurry up Tuesday!

The spoiler said something about a director being a problem.  Could the project fall apart because of it?  I hope not, because it would be fun to see the Ape-ist storyline continue a while longer.

I'm going to be incredibly disappointed if Apeist ends here. It's the perfect type of project for Penny and for the show. But I'm not liking its odds right now.

If it falls through, that's how a move-in could come up for Lenny

I sure as hell hope not. Penny would have already gotten paid for the filming she did do. If it hasn't happened in the time since she quit it shouldn't happen now. Penny deserves a storyline outside of being Leonard's hot girlfriend.

but if she filmed it all, it would have been given less than she did at the Cheesecake Factory. Can't imagine what little she'd get if she was fired half way through.

Yeah, I was going to say this but I didn't want to seem insensitive to the Lenny fans, who I know are waiting for their big milestone. I wouldn't want Lenny to move in out of financial necessity either, and I think it is so important to have Penny navigate her career independently and successfully right now, especially since they made such a big point of it this season. That's why I think Serial Apeist is perfect to achieve that.

On the one hand I really love that Leonard is supporting her, and I thought the car was already a great gesture in that sense. On the other, I don't know. Would people really be happy with Leonard moving in with her just because she can't pay rent, even if it would be a natural step for them?

If they move in for the money, I'll definetly riot.

It's not a milestone for them, they live five feet away from each and alternate nights in the other's apartment. I'm a Lenny fan and I have no clue why they insist upon him moving in every single episode. There's barely enough room for one person in that apartment, only one closet, and I don't know how Leonard would all his comic book crap in there. It sounds like a claustrophobic nightmare.

Those new dynamics would create a lot less potential for comedy. Sheldon wouldn't be funny on his own, and I have no interest in seeing Amy in the parental role.

I agree with almost everything you said except the Serial Apeist part. I fail to see how this role makes her successful. This role to me is one step above the porn movie she turned down in season 4. The last episode showed how stupid the script was with Penny running around in a bikini (I personally loved that) wrestling a gorilla. To me it would be better if she got a more legit acting role because of the movie and had some real acting success. I don't really have an opinion about Penny and Leonard living together but I would prefer if they did so because they wanted to instead of needing to.

She would have gotten about $950 a week, likely for at least two weeks if she had been doing it long enough to make others sick of hearing it. She also has some apparent savings. So there should be no need to have Leonard move in.

I don't think Leonard will move in because of this. I think it's impossible to actually gauge her financial situation. While it was mentioned that she did have some savings she was ready to go back to TCF when her car died. And you are correct about the others are sick of hearing about the movie. Sheldon did end up though taking her out to dinner in the episode you mentioned so I'm unsure what that means either.

Could it be that Penny leaves Apeist on her own accord because she is offered a better role elsewhere? I'm going to guess that's not possible though if she signed a contract. I'm hoping that if the movie falls through for any reason, she gets another chance on NCIS or something like that.

I have no problem with Leonard moving in, to help her continue to chase her dream. I'd much rather he move in to help with her living expenses so she can continue to look for acting work, than have her be forced to go back to being a waitress. At this point, it's not a question of if they move in together, it's when. I still haven't seen a cognizant argument against them moving in together, if it allows her to continue looking for acting jobs.

Now, will they do that? I don't think so. But, Leonard also deserves his own storyline, other than him just doing everything he can, to help his girlfriend.

As for pay, the SAG ultra low budget day rate is $100 a day. Which means Penny would make about $500 a week, not near $950. Which fits with her claim that she is making less than she would at TCF. Probably less as there is no weekly rate. Any days she's not needed on set, would be $100 a week less.
