dessertisserved
Whatever the final product resembles I still think that from the production side this is a refreshing and daring attempt. So much work is involved here to get this episode together. What they learn now may enable further risks later as a fan I love it.
Renoos
I wish we'd found out more about the Howard/Amy plotline, but I guess we'll find out at the next taping. It doesn't sound like they were there for the end of the contest, so I'm hoping for some awesome adventure as the B-Plot.. When one of the articles said that it'd be some 'very specific' thing they'd have in common, I figured it wouldn't be a big plot reveal, that it'd be something dorky like a musician. I love Neil Diamond, so I was excited to see that reference. (It really felt like someone they'd both be into too.) I'm glad Mayim finally got her part with Helberg, as the writers and she had been talking about it for weeks now. It was a good reason for them to hang out when they'd otherwise never have much reason to interact. It's hard to otherwise manufacture a reason for them to bond. The other parts of the report are a little confusing, but I'm sure it'll all make sense and be great when it comes together.
gsxdoug
To me, it sounds like, as Nogravitasatall says, madcap and frantic. Possibly a fun episode. As was said earlier, not every one needs to be about the romantic pairings. The image of Penny banging her head on the door, repeating "Its the comic book store" is classic! Shel_Ra_Ho_Le
Hey Peeps! Its been a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time. I a busy chick. Anyway. I heard about the AU and tvtickets.com new rule this year. And I know it sucks for those who love taping reports but honestly, I knew this would happen. Too many complaints from out of towners. I think its fair. Too many regulars taking up opportunities and spots from people who have traveled far and cant get in. Green tickets are far too common and too many. Makes sense. Nuch.Manee
I actually enjoy Bernie and Amy and agree that this will likely be fun like Parking Spot was. I do find the A/B/P scenes at Penny's apartment a bit dull unless they are doing something like when they fought over comics. When they can talk about something where they are all involved more like that it is fun, but when they are just sitting around like they normally do talking about the guys, that gets a bit boring. I wish they not only had Sheldon missing Leonard, but would mention he is missing Amy though as well since she is out of town. I could see him taking it as "abandoning him in his time of need" since Leonard is gone already. But it sounds like they are not going there. I think it is a shame that they are missing out on showing him missing Amy because they are determined to always show Shamy from Amy's POV. We rarely get insight on his thinking (Love Spell episode was an exception), and that can be why so many are getting annoyed with Amy because they find her too normalized and too repetitive. It is a shame they have taken her quirky side away so much and the Shamy we liked in S4 and S5 where Sheldon and Amy were teaming up experimenting on others, etc. I miss that Shamy. I hope the writers get rid of this push/resist thing going on with both Lenny and Shamy. That is what is getting tiring the most. i miss that shamy same .. carl1970
I think that there is a big difference between Sheldon and Penny in 7x01 and Sheldon and Penny in 7x03, and it was important to put S/P together for the scavenger hunt and to do it as early as they did. 7x01 Sheldon and Penny are bonding over missing Leonard and being alone, it is more heartwarming and friendly even though Penny gets mad at Sheldon, but in 7x03 you have the classic Sheldon and Penny antagonism which eliminates any wondering about whether Sheldon and Penny are going to be closer to each other after Leonard being away for four months. 7x01 says Sheldon and Penny can be friends, 7x02 says Leonard is still more important to Penny than Sheldon, and 7x03 says that even if they are friends they still can't work together. Exactly, S/P's relationship is brother/sister type of relationship to me. That's all it will ever be and in my opinion this is what TPTB are showing and stating with these episodes. AdorkablyMe
Sheldon and Penny together is going to be hilarious! I love how the report said he walked into her apartment all slow and disappointed that they had to partner up =) And Leonard/Bernie together and Howard/Amy together spells out one hilarious story for this lady =D Dig

Letícia Parsons Jackson
Hey guys! I wasn't posting here for a while because I'm busy, but here's what I think about the partial taping: It seems to be a very funny episode, but I think they should put Sheldon and Bernadette together, because, just like Howard and Amy, they rarely talk to each other. I think the writers' action of making Sheldon and Penny "together" in everything is suspicious, and I am not enjoying it. But it seems a nice episode

Especially this: Sheldon and Bernie that would have been funny. As I read the taping report the jokes seemed a little flat to me so thats why I didn`t laugh,
3ku11
I am not worried about romantic Shenny at all. But I also don't want the show to have every episode with their friendship as the center of the show each week either. The first two episodes they were the center of the show as friends, and again they are. The point is, I don't want Shamy center all the time, Lenny center all the time, etc. I want one week to be guys with each other, girls with each other, next week Howardette center, next week Lenny center, next week Shamy center, etc. I want it mixed up so that I don't feel I am tuned into the Sheldon and Penny show. They grate on my nerves after a while. They are entertaining in smaller doses, but not in my face all the time. They are funny when in smaller doses. Yes they can be funny, but over time they grow to be annoying when too much of them. That is all I am saying. That could just be me, but I don't enjoy them enough to want to see them the center all the time. I don't want any of them center all the time for the same reason. Sorry but I don't understand how Sheldon and Penny who have been neighbors for seven years and friends for the same amount of time, sitting on a couch after being paired up on a scavenger hunt equates to the "Sheldon and Penny show". Just as Leonard and Bernadette being paired up doesen't equate to the Leonard and Bernadette show, to me their is no point of difference. What has given you the impression from the taping report that the episode well be centred around Sheldon and Penny, all the other characters have been paired up too, just don't get the difference here. Leonard was gone for 3-4 months, he plays such a massive role in Penny's and Sheldon's life, they were forced to bond with each other to deal with the void in their life. Penny and Sheldon has always been a maternal brother-sister relationship, and that has always brought banter. But if you imagine a scenario where Leonard never moved in, Sheldon would of most likely never became friends with Penny, they are after all very different people. Thanks to Leonard Sheldon's social world has developed his seating pattern has now changed so he can immerse himself, but while at the same time interact with his friends, that was not the case before Leonard moved in, all Sheldon cared about was Physics and the nobel prize haha. So imagine a scenario where Penny moves in, if you go back to the pilot Sheldon had no intention of having anything to do with the new girl who just moved in and even later on, Sheldon has made references to "You asked her to lunch four years ago, everything about her is on YOU". It was Leonard's persistence in making Penny part of their social group, that eventually over time Penny got to know Leonard and Sheldon, Howard, and Raj. And started to condition to their nerdiness haha, and their activities and they all become like a support system for her. If Leonard never existed Sheldon would had no reason to be friends with Penny, yes Penny is nice and everything and would at least when they first me try small talk, but Sheldon as he was first introduced when Leonard told Penny the story about how they first met, that Sheldon was even worser socially then he is now. Penny most likely would of either been confused to what Sheldon was talking about lol, or just weirded out and go "Okay have a nice day I guess...". And when she went out with her friends, they most likely would ask who's that "Oh that's my neighbour he's kinda eccentric". "Hey Sheldon!" "Hello" haha. But Sheldon would have no reason to talk to Penny or become friends, so I don't think it is that simple really, with Leonard's influence and over time the guys explained to Penny the way he was, and his little rants and lectures Penny became one of them, as Howard put it "one of us, one of us, one of us" haha. All I saying is it is The Big Bang Theory, and I am not bothered by the ep at all, sounds fun. I think by now Penny and Leonard have both prooved their commitement to each other, and especially Penny has prooven to be in love with Leonard too. Funny because in that actual show Penny nor Sheldon has even considered that for a second, their relationship is great because neither of the each other want anything from each other, they kinda use each other as a sounding board for their respective loved ones, but also their issues. You could tell though after 3 months Penny is now getting sick of Sheldon lol. Edited September 7, 2013 by 3ku11
eirwinrommel
I've got a possible spoiler for this year. The past two years Leonard has rebelled against Sheldon's rule on episode 15. Season 5 episode 15: The Friendship Contraction. Creation of Leonard's Day. Season 6 episode 15: The Spoiler Alert Segmentation. Leonard tries to move in with Penny, and Amy tries to move in with Sheldon. So this year... Any guess as to what sets it off, what happens, and if it will be episode 15 again? BTW Season 3 it was episode 22: The Staircase Implementation, Season 4 there wasn't really one unless you count episode 24 when he switched places with Raj and moved in with Priya. Season 1 and 2 didn't have one. Edited September 7, 2013 by eirwinrommel
Occam's Chainsaw
My guess; 7x15 Penny decides that she and Leonard need to take the next step in their relationship and move in together. She moves into Leonard's room and Sheldon makes some serious changes to the roommate agreement Leonard and Penny refuse a number of conditions and force Sheldon to back down or they will both move into 4B and allow Amy to take Leonard's room. The juvenile sea squirt wanders through the sea searching for a suitable rock or hunk of coral to cling to and make its home for life. For this task it has a rudimentary nervous system.
