With regards to the moving thing, this seems similar to the storyline in Friends where Chandler moved in from across the hall with Monica, and Monica pretty much told Rachel that she had to move out. Rachel is definitely not Sheldon, and it was Monica's name on the lease, but the living arrangments storyline is similar to that.

It was Monica's apartment and Rachel came to live with her.  And in that case, I don't remember if Rachel was on the lease, but if she was, she's still the one who moved into what was Monica's apartment to begin with.

 

In this case, Sheldon is in Monica's position in regard to whose apartment it was to begin with.

It would be as if Rachel was the one who got married and then suggested that Monica be the one to move out.

I remember in one of the Comic Con panels that someone in the audience informed everyone that the RA was invalid in effect because Sheldon as an interested party could not notarize Leonard's signature.  Now that may have zippity doo da to do with anything - which is pretty much the gist of the back and forth of this particular discussion IMHO...

I agree with you about the lease. Leonard suggested moving out of his apartment after Sheldon suggested the three could live together on a trial basis but he was concerned about Penny's "uterus lining" in his bathroom. If Leonard had no right to say what he said either does Sheldon. But it seems that only Sheldon can say whatever he wants but Leonard can't according to some. why is that? He has no diagnosed mental problems that I know of. Sheldon claims his mother had him tested. So what his excuse for his behavior all these years? His only excuse to me is they let him.

You're joking, right? He handled the situation like a two-year-old. Leonard made a basic suggestion, far milder than the ones Sheldon makes all the time, and gave him options for the sake of minimizing his temper tantrum. How horrible and inconsiderate of him. 

 

If Amy sticks around out of desperation, as she likely will, she has a lot of these hissy fits to look forward to. She'll never have a child of her own, but will essentially get the same experience with Sheldon.

I don't think Leonard would ever kick Sheldon out of the apartment, Leonard is not that kind of guy.  But for the lease, after 7+ years, Leonard is probably a co-signer on the lease, so if it came up for renewal, while Sheldon was gone, and they couldn't contact him, it would only be logical that Leonard would solely take over the lease.  But again that shouldn't make a difference because the Leonard character has too much empathy to kick Sheldon out into the street.

But do we even have a clue as to how long Sheldon is going to be gone? The writer's have done these 3 months gone, time jump things before. do we assume that this is the standard for all of the season finale's? Sheldon could be gone a week and 8x1 could pick up there.

‘The Status Quo Combustion”

 

Its not word for word. There was a lot to take in at this taping. I realise there are a few other reports out there already. Ill go into much detail as possible. At least you guys will have a few different reports to read. Please bare in mind that taping reports can be quite difficult sometimes.. Taping can become very exhausting and there is a lot to take in. I didn’t take any notes this this is all from what I remember. 

 

As I said It will not be word for word.. But you will get the gernal jist of it.

Scene 1: 4A

 

The scene opens with the gang in the apartment (apart from Raj). They are discussing Howard’s Mum. Raj walks into the apartment and greets the gang. Leonard puts his arm around Penny and announces to the gang that him and Penny have an announcement. Penny holds out her hand to show her hand to show the gang the ring and says excitedly that they are engaged! The gang apart from raj all jump to hug Leonard and Penny (apart from Sheldon. He of course gets up and walks over to Leonard but doesn’t hug, He does have a smile on his face though).

 

Raj then inter ups the gang and says “So that beats my news of me having sex with Emily”. The gang all run over to Raj jumping and clapping apart from Leonard and penny who are a bit taken back by having their thunder stolen. just to Add Sheldon walks over to Raj as well also looking quite excited which I found quite shocking.

 

(speaking together)

Penny: “Hey!”

Leonard: “What the Hell?”

 

Raj: “You guys get engaged all the time…”

 

Penny and Leonard then agree with him, they run to join to group excited and hugging.

 

 

Scene 2: Cafeteria 

 

Raj, Leonard and Howard are sitting with lunch and talking.. Raj was being cocky about his recent sexual encounter with Emily..

 

Raj: Oh I wonder why I am so hungry today?

Howard: Is it because you had sex the other night

Raj: You know I think that might be it..

 

The continue you the banter while Sheldon is walking into the cafeteria in the background. He is clearly shaken by something.. He sits down slowly, He is almost trying to guide himself to his seat. He looks very shocked.

 

Leonard: Are you ok?

Sheldon: No I’m not, I have just come from president Seaburts office, he has denied my request to change my field of study 

(he did say his new field, It was something cosmology I think)

 

Leonard: Oh no, why?

Sheldon: He said I was hired for String Theory, My funding is for String Theory and we all have to do things we don’t want to do. He then used an example by saying he didn’t want to look at my stupid face but he has to.

Quite frankly I’m outraged, So much so I am considering leaving the university.

 

Leonard: Now don’t go making any rash decisions, You are just frustrated right now

 

Raj: You know what I do when I’m frustrated? Have sex with a girl.

(They had a few takes with this for his facial expression, They tried cheeky smiles, cheeky grins and the way he said it. All were pretty much winners in comedy)

 

Sheldon gives him a stern look and then looks away.

 

Scene 3: Mrs Wolowitz house

 

Maria - The latest Mrs Wolowitz nurse.

 

Bernie: No please don’t leave!

 

Bernie is chasing Maria who is walking out of the house.

 

Maria: No I have boundaries (or something like this, Im not 100%)

While chasing after her.. Bernie: But you’ve only been here for a week and a half and you are already part of the family!

 

Door slams.

 

Bernie and Howard walk back into the living room looking disappointed.

 

Howard: Thats now 2 nurses..

Bernie: I don’t think the agency will send anymore.

Howard: We will just have to get used tot he fact that we are going to have to live here for a few months and take care of ma.

Bernie: But we both have jobs? We can’t do that!

Howard: We can take Vacation…

Bernie: I wanted to spend my vacate in Hawaii not hell…

Howard: (while sitting down) I don’t know what else to do… She is my mother.

Bernie: (while sitting down next to him): Oh Howie, I would do the same for my mother as well, And I am your wife so I should stick by you and her. So I want a divorce (she says jokingly while rubbing his leg)

Howard: (while putting his arm around her) That’s a wise move

 

Scene 4: 4A (leonard only) (pre shot)

I don’t remember this word for word but I will give you the run down

 

Leonard is sitting at his laptop skying with his mother,

 

Leonard: So I have some big news

Beverly: Ok

Leonard: Can you at least try and be happy for me?

 

Beverly then starts talking in her normal fashion, She then mentions that Sheldon had already told her about the engagement. Leonard is a little upset again about his mum keeping more contact with sheldon then her.. Beverly points out to Leonard “would you like me to keep more contact with you’ leonard just sits and ponders.

 

Beverly then goes onto say that Sheldon speaks fondly of Penny, So she accepts that they are getting married as she trusts Sheldon’s judgment.

 

Scene 5: Pennys Aprtment

 

The scene opens with Penny and Amy. Penny is on the phone to her mum talking abut the engagement. She in convincing her Mum that Leonard is a smart guy saying he is a scientist. Amy is pouring wine.

 

Penny: He works with Electronic magnets of some kind

-Amy strikes her a look

Penny: No I’m not pregnant,  (pause) Yes that is a first for our family, Ok got to go, tell Dad I love him, Bye!

 

Amy: Electric Magnets

Penny: Shut up.

 

Bernie enters the apartment looking drained. She throws her purse on the sofa and heads over to the kitchen while complaining about Howard’s Mother. Penny passes her a glass of wine that she finishes in 1 go.

 

Amy: So what’s the living arrangements going to be now? Do you think you and Leonard will mvd in together?

Penny: I don’t know we haven’t really spoken about it, But I suppose we will be now at some point.

Amy: Well that makes sense with you not having a job, It will help you financially

Bernie: Oh You don’t have a job, I have one for you! How would you like to be Mrs Wolowitz Nurse?

Penny: No

Bernie: We will pay you well

Penny: Ok

 

The scene cuts to the Wolowitz lounge and Penny walking out “no amount of money is worth this”

 

Scene 6: 4A Leonard and Sheldon at their laptops

 

Sheldon is writing a letter of appeal to the university regarding his change of field. He reads out the letter to Leonard. The letter is very formal and ended it with an unnecessary Sheldon Cooper style comment.

 

Leonard: Listen, Theres something I wanted to run by you

Sheldon: OK you have my attention

Leonard: With me and Penny now getting married, We will want to live together

Sheldon: Ah I have already thought about this. I am ready, on a trial bases of course, to Allow penny to live her for 1 day week, Excluding weeks of uterus lining shredding..

Leonard: Actually we were thinking of us living together, (he lowers his voice and says hesitantly) Without you..

Sheldon: Without me? I don’t understand? How will we live together if I’m not there?

Leonard: Me and Penny want to live together without you.

Sheldon: Well where will you go?

Leonard: I don’t know yet. Maybe I live with her, or we could live here and you could take her place (he says while getting up and walking to the kitchen)

 

Sheldon now stands up looking shocked. He starts to freak out for the first time.

 

Sheldon: Can you hear yourself? Have you taken a Majina? 

Leonard: No

Sheldon: Well what have you taken!? are you saying you would rather put your brides happiness before mine?

Leonard: yes

 

Sheldon says something here but I completely forgot sorry! He after this line he storms off into his room.

 

 

 

Scene 7: Amy’s Apartment

 

Amy is in the kitchen making Sheldon a Strawberry Quik while sheldon is pacing in her apartment.

 

Sheldon: Can you believe this, I can’t switch fields, I am outraged. Not to mention Leonard has the Audacity to suggest me moving into Penny’s apartment!

Amy: So what are you going to do?

Sheldon: I don’t know Amy..

Amy: Here drink this, It will make you feel better (passing him his beverage)

Sheldon: Thank you but I don’t think a pink beverage will make me feel any better.

*Sheldon takes a sip of his beverage”

 

 

“Oh Yummy” he say satisfactorily while he sits down.

 

Amy: You don’t know Sheldon, Maybe you will enjoy living on your own for a while. (she hesitates and speaks nervously) If not, You and I could always live together..

 

Sheldon looks up at her sharply. He starts to freak out again.

 

Sheldon: “Oh you would love that wouldn’t you, Why don’t we just get engaged, Buy a house, have kids and have them run off into the sunset..

 

Sheldon puts his drink down and gets up, He sounds quite angry and is clearly freaking out, He is speaking very aggressively now..

 

Sheldon:  No this is not happening Amy, Leonard is not moving out, You are not moving in, This change stops now. Oh and I saw you make this strawberry Quik with Syrup and Not powder!

Amy: Its the same thing…

Sheldon: NO ITS NOT!

 

He then storms out of her apartment slamming the door behind him leaving Amy sitting on the sofa.

 

Scene 8: 4A Leonard and Penny

 

leonard and Penny are sitting at the island eating dinner that Leonard made, They are discussing setting a date.

 

Leonard: So should we set a date 

Penny: I would like to set it around my brother

Leonard: So whens that?

Penny: In 6-18 months depending on good behaviour

 

 

Amy walks in carrying her car keys:

 

Amy: Have any of you guys seen Sheldon? he stormed out of my apartment, Now he isn’t answering his phone and I can’t find him

Leonard: No his not here, listen he has had a few rough days, He will be ok, He just needs time

Amy: Yeh you are right.

 

Amy then walks over to the kitchen and sits down with Leonard and Penny.

 

Amy: So whatcha doooing?

 

I can’t remember the full dialog here. Leonard and Penny kept hinting for amy to leave until Penny told amy to get out. Amy just acknowledges her with a “yep” and leaves quickly.

 

Scene 9: Comic book store

 

Sheldon walks into the store to find it fire damaged stuart is wearing a dirty white shirt while sweeping up.

 

Sheldon: Oh No!

Stuart: Oh Hey Sheldon

Sheldon: What happened

Stuart: I left my hot plate on and the place caught fire.

Sheldon: Why did you out it out:

Stuart: Because I was taking a shower in the car way across the street..

Sheldon: When do you think you will reopen 

Stuart: i don’t know, Im waiting to hear front he insurance company

Sheldon: Do you think tomorrow?

Stuart: Look Sheldon, Im pretty much lost everything today

Sheldon: No everything needs to stop changing, Im going to help you back on your feet as soon as possible

 

Sheldon find a soaking wet comic book and picks up up.

 

Sheldon: id like to purchase this comic book.

Stuart: 2.99

Sheldon: But its Wet

Stuart: ok a dollar

Sheldon: can you break a 20

Stuart: yes Sheldon, Because I have 100’s to break

Sheldon: You know what Stuart, I don’t always recognise sarcasm, But i do now. Its not only you who day is a disaster!

 

Sheldon then Storms out.

 

Stuart carrys on sweeping, he walks across the room narrowly avoiding being hit by falling debris.

 

Stuart: hu, That could have killed me.. I can’t catch a break.

 

Scene 10: 4A, Leonard and Penny

 

Leonard and Penny are siting on the sofa, Leonard mentions he hasn’t heard from Sheldon yet.

 

Penny: Im sure he is fine

Leonard: No I’m a little worried, Im going to find out where he is

Penny: How?

Leonard: I know his password, I can track his phone

Penny: Why do you know his password for that?

Leonard: It was a good idea ever since we lost him when he ran off to chase a balloon…

 

Leonard logs onto his laptop:

 

Leonard: Hmm thats weird..

Penny: What?

Leonard: It says he’s at the train station

Penny: So what he loves trains?

Leonard: Be but its late and dark out, we better go get him.

 

They both leave the apartment.

 

Scene 11: Comic book store. Raj, Howard and Stuart

 

Stuart is still cleaning up the stow, Raj and howard walk in.

 

Raj: Dude, Im sorry.

Howard: Forgive me for saying, but You sure it wasn’t you who this this for the insurance?

Stuart: Thanks Howard you sound like My Mum, The police, My therapist and the insurance company…

Raj: Anything we can do?

Stuart: (To Raj) Actually I was going to ask If I could crash at yours for a few nights

Raj: Of course, Oh but emily was going to be staying tomorrow night

Stuart: Oh You are sleeping with her now? (he says excitingly) and hugs raj

Raj: Its ok, I can cancel

Stuart: oh no, I wouldn’t want to get way of your sex life.. Im only Homeless and all.

Howard: Hey I know a place you can stay and earn some money. The only problem is its humiliating and degrading

Stuart: So whats the catch?

 

Scene 12: Train station (pre taped)

(it was quite hard to get all the dialog form this one as it was only shown once once on the monitors, but heres the jist)

 

Leonard and penny walk into to find Sheldon sitting on a bench. He has only his normal satchel with him. Leonard sits next to him. Sheldon is looking very lost and clearly he has reached a point where he can’t handle things anymore.

 

 

Leonard: Sheldon, What are you doing?

Sheldon: Leaving.

Leonard: Why?

Sheldon: Because of all this change

Leonard: but you have nothing with you, no clothes, no toothbrush, How are you going to go without all that?

Leonard: Where are you going?

Sheldon: I don’t know

Leonard: So you are just going to ride the train?

Sheldon: I am not a Hobo. I have a creditcard. I will manage

Leonard: Come on you are being ridiculous

 

Penny who is observing calls Leonard over.

 

Penny: Maybe we should let him go.

Leonard: What?

Penny: Maybe this will be good for him

Leonard: He can’t look after himself

Penny: He will be ok Leonard, Maybe this is whats best. I know You will miss him I will miss him to.

 

Sheldon: Of course you will miss me.

Leonard: Ok.

 

Penny then walks over to sheldon who is sitting on the bench still, She hugs him from behind and gives him a kiss on the cheek and tells him to be carful.

 

Authors note: Can I just add. It was a very very sweet scene. It was really moving.. I was in shock and fight tears back.

 

Tag 1: Mrs Wolowitz house: 

 

Howard and Bernie are sitting on the sofa.. Mrs Wolowitz calls from her room. Stuart walks out the kitchen wearing blue overalls

 

Stuart: Coming Debbie!

Howard: You are calling her Debbie now?

Stuart: She insisted!

Howard: Okay….

Stuart: Listen thanks for this guys!

Mrs Wolowitz: OH STEWIE….

Stuart: Coming!

 

Stuart skips off into the bedroom. Howard and Bernie just look at each other shocked.

 

Final Tag: 4A Leonard, Penny and Amy

 

Amy pacing around on the phone.

 

Amy: Ok Sheldon, Well thanks for checkin in, bye.

 

Amy sits down on her spot on the sofa. Sheldons spot is empty

 

Penny: Is he ok?

Amy: Yeh he is fine, In fact he is sounding like his is really good

(Amy is looking pretty moved)

Penny: Penny See I told you he would be ok

Leonard: yeh he will b-

 

Amy reaches for a pillow and starts hitting Leonard frantically, She yells “HOW COULD YOU LET HIM GO”. She continues to hit leonard with the pillow until he falls over the sofa arm and crawls out of the apartment.

 

This scene was supposed to be funny, And I can see the comedy, but personally I’m stuck on the hard side of it..

 

And there folks, Is the Season 7 finale!

At first I was annoyed. I went into the taping expecting some heavy shaky considering what the season has been leading up to.. hints between them have been dropped. Last night I was pissed, But now after I have had some proper time to reflect, I feel that this is a pretty decent finale. It leaves the story open for season 8, and while shamy didn’t get the finale I was hoping for. Im now more optimistic for what S8 will bring.

 

I am looking forward to travelling to LA later in the year to attend Season 8 tapings! Bring it on guys! and thanks for a wonderful Season!

It's not about Sheldon being able to say whatever he wants.

What Sheldon said had nothing to do with kicking anyone out if their home. Again, although it was not at all realistic, Sheldon was trying to accommodate Leonard and Penny living together. He wants to maintain the status quo as much as possible, which means trying to fit Penny into their existing situation. That he doesn't want Penny there while she's on her period is part of the unrealistic aspect of his idea, but he's not suggesting that Leonard move out. He's trying to figure out a way for Penny to move in that won't disturb him too much.

What Leonard said amounted to saying that if he and Penny decided they wanted to live in 4A, then Sheldon would have to be the one to leave, despite the fact that Sheldon isn't the one getting married. Leonard wants to live with Penny without Sheldon being there, and that's fine, as long as he doesn't insist on pushing Sheldon out in order to move Penny in, which is what his suggestion means.

And it doesn't matter whether or not anyone has seen the lease. That's separate from the RA and is between each of the guys and the landlord of the building. If each of them is on the lease, then neither of them can make the other one move out.

Scene 2: Cafeteria 

 

Raj, Leonard and Howard are sitting with lunch and talking.. Raj was being cocky about his recent sexual encounter with Emily..

 

Raj: Oh I wonder why I am so hungry today?

Howard: Is it because you had sex the other night

Raj: You know I think that might be it..

 

The continue you the banter while Sheldon is walking into the cafeteria in the background. He is clearly shaken by something.. He sits down slowly, He is almost trying to guide himself to his seat. He looks very shocked.

 

Leonard: Are you ok?

Sheldon: No I’m not, I have just come from president Seaburts office, he has denied my request to change my field of study 

(he did say his new field, It was something cosmology I think)

 

Leonard: Oh no, why?

Sheldon: He said I was hired for String Theory, My funding is for String Theory and we all have to do things we don’t want to do. He then used an example by saying he didn’t want to look at my stupid face but he has to.

Quite frankly I’m outraged, So much so I am considering leaving the university.

 

Leonard: Now don’t go making any rash decisions, You are just frustrated right now

 

Raj: You know what I do when I’m frustrated? Have sex with a girl.

(They had a few takes with this for his facial expression, They tried cheeky smiles, cheeky grins and the way he said it. All were pretty much winners in comedy)

 

Sheldon gives him a stern look and then looks away.

 

Scene 3: Mrs Wolowitz house

 

Maria - The latest Mrs Wolowitz nurse.

 

Bernie: No please don’t leave!

 

Bernie is chasing Maria who is walking out of the house.

 

Maria: No I have boundaries (or something like this, Im not 100%)

While chasing after her.. Bernie: But you’ve only been here for a week and a half and you are already part of the family!

 

Door slams.

 

Bernie and Howard walk back into the living room looking disappointed.

 

Howard: Thats now 2 nurses..

Bernie: I don’t think the agency will send anymore.

Howard: We will just have to get used tot he fact that we are going to have to live here for a few months and take care of ma.

Bernie: But we both have jobs? We can’t do that!

Howard: We can take Vacation…

Bernie: I wanted to spend my vacate in Hawaii not hell…

Howard: (while sitting down) I don’t know what else to do… She is my mother.

Bernie: (while sitting down next to him): Oh Howie, I would do the same for my mother as well, And I am your wife so I should stick by you and her. So I want a divorce (she says jokingly while rubbing his leg)

Howard: (while putting his arm around her) That’s a wise move

 

Scene 4: 4A (leonard only) (pre shot)

I don’t remember this word for word but I will give you the run down

 

Leonard is sitting at his laptop skying with his mother,

 

Leonard: So I have some big news

Beverly: Ok

Leonard: Can you at least try and be happy for me?

 

Beverly then starts talking in her normal fashion, She then mentions that Sheldon had already told her about the engagement. Leonard is a little upset again about his mum keeping more contact with sheldon then her.. Beverly points out to Leonard “would you like me to keep more contact with you’ leonard just sits and ponders.

 

Beverly then goes onto say that Sheldon speaks fondly of Penny, So she accepts that they are getting married as she trusts Sheldon’s judgment.

 

Scene 5: Pennys Aprtment

 

The scene opens with Penny and Amy. Penny is on the phone to her mum talking abut the engagement. She in convincing her Mum that Leonard is a smart guy saying he is a scientist. Amy is pouring wine.

 

Penny: He works with Electronic magnets of some kind

-Amy strikes her a look

Penny: No I’m not pregnant,  (pause) Yes that is a first for our family, Ok got to go, tell Dad I love him, Bye!

 

Amy: Electric Magnets

Penny: Shut up.

 

Bernie enters the apartment looking drained. She throws her purse on the sofa and heads over to the kitchen while complaining about Howard’s Mother. Penny passes her a glass of wine that she finishes in 1 go.

 

Amy: So what’s the living arrangements going to be now? Do you think you and Leonard will mvd in together?

Penny: I don’t know we haven’t really spoken about it, But I suppose we will be now at some point.

Amy: Well that makes sense with you not having a job, It will help you financially

Bernie: Oh You don’t have a job, I have one for you! How would you like to be Mrs Wolowitz Nurse?

Penny: No

Bernie: We will pay you well

Penny: Ok

 

The scene cuts to the Wolowitz lounge and Penny walking out “no amount of money is worth this”

 

Scene 6: 4A Leonard and Sheldon at their laptops

 

Sheldon is writing a letter of appeal to the university regarding his change of field. He reads out the letter to Leonard. The letter is very formal and ended it with an unnecessary Sheldon Cooper style comment.

 

Leonard: Listen, Theres something I wanted to run by you

Sheldon: OK you have my attention

Leonard: With me and Penny now getting married, We will want to live together

Sheldon: Ah I have already thought about this. I am ready, on a trial bases of course, to Allow penny to live her for 1 day week, Excluding weeks of uterus lining shredding..

Leonard: Actually we were thinking of us living together, (he lowers his voice and says hesitantly) Without you..

Sheldon: Without me? I don’t understand? How will we live together if I’m not there?

Leonard: Me and Penny want to live together without you.

Sheldon: Well where will you go?

Leonard: I don’t know yet. Maybe I live with her, or we could live here and you could take her place (he says while getting up and walking to the kitchen)

 

Sheldon now stands up looking shocked. He starts to freak out for the first time.

 

Sheldon: Can you hear yourself? Have you taken a Majina? 

Leonard: No

Sheldon: Well what have you taken!? are you saying you would rather put your brides happiness before mine?

Leonard: yes

 

Sheldon says something here but I completely forgot sorry! He after this line he storms off into his room.

 

 

 

Scene 7: Amy’s Apartment

 

Amy is in the kitchen making Sheldon a Strawberry Quik while sheldon is pacing in her apartment.

 

Sheldon: Can you believe this, I can’t switch fields, I am outraged. Not to mention Leonard has the Audacity to suggest me moving into Penny’s apartment!

Amy: So what are you going to do?

Sheldon: I don’t know Amy..

Amy: Here drink this, It will make you feel better (passing him his beverage)

Sheldon: Thank you but I don’t think a pink beverage will make me feel any better.

*Sheldon takes a sip of his beverage”

 

 

“Oh Yummy” he say satisfactorily while he sits down.

 

Amy: You don’t know Sheldon, Maybe you will enjoy living on your own for a while. (she hesitates and speaks nervously) If not, You and I could always live together..

 

Sheldon looks up at her sharply. He starts to freak out again.

 

Sheldon: “Oh you would love that wouldn’t you, Why don’t we just get engaged, Buy a house, have kids and have them run off into the sunset..

 

Sheldon puts his drink down and gets up, He sounds quite angry and is clearly freaking out, He is speaking very aggressively now..

 

Sheldon:  No this is not happening Amy, Leonard is not moving out, You are not moving in, This change stops now. Oh and I saw you make this strawberry Quik with Syrup and Not powder!

Amy: Its the same thing…

Sheldon: NO ITS NOT!

 

He then storms out of her apartment slamming the door behind him leaving Amy sitting on the sofa.

 

Scene 8: 4A Leonard and Penny

 

leonard and Penny are sitting at the island eating dinner that Leonard made, They are discussing setting a date.

 

Leonard: So should we set a date 

Penny: I would like to set it around my brother

Leonard: So whens that?

Penny: In 6-18 months depending on good behaviour

 

 

Amy walks in carrying her car keys:

 

Amy: Have any of you guys seen Sheldon? he stormed out of my apartment, Now he isn’t answering his phone and I can’t find him

Leonard: No his not here, listen he has had a few rough days, He will be ok, He just needs time

Amy: Yeh you are right.

 

Amy then walks over to the kitchen and sits down with Leonard and Penny.

 

Amy: So whatcha doooing?

 

I can’t remember the full dialog here. Leonard and Penny kept hinting for amy to leave until Penny told amy to get out. Amy just acknowledges her with a “yep” and leaves quickly.

 

Scene 9: Comic book store

 

Sheldon walks into the store to find it fire damaged stuart is wearing a dirty white shirt while sweeping up.

 

Sheldon: Oh No!

Stuart: Oh Hey Sheldon

Sheldon: What happened

Stuart: I left my hot plate on and the place caught fire.

Sheldon: Why did you out it out:

Stuart: Because I was taking a shower in the car way across the street..

Sheldon: When do you think you will reopen 

Stuart: i don’t know, Im waiting to hear front he insurance company

Sheldon: Do you think tomorrow?

Stuart: Look Sheldon, Im pretty much lost everything today

Sheldon: No everything needs to stop changing, Im going to help you back on your feet as soon as possible

 

Sheldon find a soaking wet comic book and picks up up.

 

Sheldon: id like to purchase this comic book.

Stuart: 2.99

Sheldon: But its Wet

Stuart: ok a dollar

Sheldon: can you break a 20

Stuart: yes Sheldon, Because I have 100’s to break

Sheldon: You know what Stuart, I don’t always recognise sarcasm, But i do now. Its not only you who day is a disaster!

 

Sheldon then Storms out.

 

Stuart carrys on sweeping, he walks across the room narrowly avoiding being hit by falling debris.

 

Stuart: hu, That could have killed me.. I can’t catch a break.

 

Scene 10: 4A, Leonard and Penny

 

Leonard and Penny are siting on the sofa, Leonard mentions he hasn’t heard from Sheldon yet.

 

Penny: Im sure he is fine

Leonard: No I’m a little worried, Im going to find out where he is

Penny: How?

Leonard: I know his password, I can track his phone

Penny: Why do you know his password for that?

Leonard: It was a good idea ever since we lost him when he ran off to chase a balloon…

 

Leonard logs onto his laptop:

 

Leonard: Hmm thats weird..

Penny: What?

Leonard: It says he’s at the train station

Penny: So what he loves trains?

Leonard: Be but its late and dark out, we better go get him.

 

They both leave the apartment.

 

Scene 11: Comic book store. Raj, Howard and Stuart

 

Stuart is still cleaning up the stow, Raj and howard walk in.

 

Raj: Dude, Im sorry.

Howard: Forgive me for saying, but You sure it wasn’t you who this this for the insurance?

Stuart: Thanks Howard you sound like My Mum, The police, My therapist and the insurance company…

Raj: Anything we can do?

Stuart: (To Raj) Actually I was going to ask If I could crash at yours for a few nights

Raj: Of course, Oh but emily was going to be staying tomorrow night

Stuart: Oh You are sleeping with her now? (he says excitingly) and hugs raj

Raj: Its ok, I can cancel

Stuart: oh no, I wouldn’t want to get way of your sex life.. Im only Homeless and all.

Howard: Hey I know a place you can stay and earn some money. The only problem is its humiliating and degrading

Stuart: So whats the catch?

 

Scene 12: Train station (pre taped)

(it was quite hard to get all the dialog form this one as it was only shown once once on the monitors, but heres the jist)

 

Leonard and penny walk into to find Sheldon sitting on a bench. He has only his normal satchel with him. Leonard sits next to him. Sheldon is looking very lost and clearly he has reached a point where he can’t handle things anymore.

 

 

Leonard: Sheldon, What are you doing?

Sheldon: Leaving.

Leonard: Why?

Sheldon: Because of all this change

Leonard: but you have nothing with you, no clothes, no toothbrush, How are you going to go without all that?

Leonard: Where are you going?

Sheldon: I don’t know

Leonard: So you are just going to ride the train?

Sheldon: I am not a Hobo. I have a creditcard. I will manage

Leonard: Come on you are being ridiculous

 

Penny who is observing calls Leonard over.

 

Penny: Maybe we should let him go.

Leonard: What?

Penny: Maybe this will be good for him

Leonard: He can’t look after himself

Penny: He will be ok Leonard, Maybe this is whats best. I know You will miss him I will miss him to.

 

Sheldon: Of course you will miss me.

Leonard: Ok.

 

Penny then walks over to sheldon who is sitting on the bench still, She hugs him from behind and gives him a kiss on the cheek and tells him to be carful.

 

Authors note: Can I just add. It was a very very sweet scene. It was really moving.. I was in shock and fight tears back.

 

Tag 1: Mrs Wolowitz house: 

 

Howard and Bernie are sitting on the sofa.. Mrs Wolowitz calls from her room. Stuart walks out the kitchen wearing blue overalls

 

Stuart: Coming Debbie!

Howard: You are calling her Debbie now?

Stuart: She insisted!

Howard: Okay….

Stuart: Listen thanks for this guys!

Mrs Wolowitz: OH STEWIE….

Stuart: Coming!

 

Stuart skips off into the bedroom. Howard and Bernie just look at each other shocked.

 

Final Tag: 4A Leonard, Penny and Amy

 

Amy pacing around on the phone.

 

Amy: Ok Sheldon, Well thanks for checkin in, bye.

 

Amy sits down on her spot on the sofa. Sheldons spot is empty

 

Penny: Is he ok?

Amy: Yeh he is fine, In fact he is sounding like his is really good

(Amy is looking pretty moved)

Penny: Penny See I told you he would be ok

Leonard: yeh he will b-

 

Amy reaches for a pillow and starts hitting Leonard frantically, She yells “HOW COULD YOU LET HIM GO”. She continues to hit leonard with the pillow until he falls over the sofa arm and crawls out of the apartment.

 

This scene was supposed to be funny, And I can see the comedy, but personally I’m stuck on the hard side of it..

 

And there folks, Is the Season 7 finale!

At first I was annoyed. I went into the taping expecting some heavy shaky considering what the season has been leading up to.. hints between them have been dropped. Last night I was pissed, But now after I have had some proper time to reflect, I feel that this is a pretty decent finale. It leaves the story open for season 8, and while shamy didn’t get the finale I was hoping for. Im now more optimistic for what S8 will bring.

 

I am looking forward to travelling to LA later in the year to attend Season 8 tapings! Bring it on guys! and thanks for a wonderful Season!

Thank you so much for taking the time to rewrite all this for us, Kazzie!!  I hope the flight went well and your headache is much better.  Did you find out who ate the chocolate you brought the cast?

 

When reading this the one thing that stands out is Sheldon saying he can't handle all the changes.  He's experienced so many changes in such a short time and he's not wired to handle it so his leaving makes perfect sense.  Yes, Amy didn't find out until he called to check in with her but SHE is the one he called to check in with, not Lenny so this shows he cares about her.  He's also not wired to filter what he says especially when he's stressed so that why what he says to Amy sounds as nasty as it does.

 

My son is the exact same way and getting away from it all to regroup and figure out what he should do next without all the outside stimuli stressing him out is how he handles it.  He comes back relaxed, focused and with a plan.

What Leonard said amounted to saying that if he and Penny decided they wanted to live in 4A, then Sheldon would have to be the one to leave, despite the fact that Sheldon isn't the one getting married. Leonard wants to live with Penny without Sheldon being there, and that's fine, as long as he doesn't insist on pushing Sheldon out in order to move Penny in, which is what his suggestion means.

Look, I'm not saying that Leonard is a horrible person, just that the suggestion that Sheldon might move out to accommodate Penny moving in to his home, (where he would not be welcome if she were there) is an alternative that is rude on its face. It doesn't matter whether or not he insists on it or not.

I think Sheldon says, "Leonard's not moving out" because that's the simplest distillation of that conversation and it balances with "you're not moving in", but it doesn't change the fact that Leonard envisioned a possibility that included moving Penny into the apartment in place of Sheldon, whose home it is.

Oh my goodness, this sounds exquisite.  This show can really hit a dramatic beat when it wants to ("I'm pretty sure it's already over" when Lenny broke up, when Penny let slip the ILY, anytime Howard talks about his dad, etc.) and now I can't wait to see this play out.  And the whole idea of him just drifting away to ride the rails...Aargh, now I've gotta keep my own expectations in check!

It's going to be a long summer waiting to find out what happens.  When the first taping nears, we'll probably all be going nuts.  By my count it's 16-17 weeks from now.  The Comic-con panel in July seems really far away too.  We'll have to find things to do to keep our minds off of it.  Somebody wanna go over to the chat thread and recommend some good engrossing books?
