Why can't they just be friends?   In a way, it's what they have been all along with the exceptional, and obligatory physical contact.  No doubt they care for each other, but that is friendship.  Love, physicality, and intimacy shouldn't be forced.   If Sheldon wants to have her as more than that, and not just on paper, then he will prove it.   Otherwise, Amy is a great character in her own, and I would love to see her rocking out the neuroscience, perhaps even stirring a little competition with Sheldon.    Who knows what that would drive Sheldon to?

I like the quote, "Love is a friendship caught on fire."   If that is their endgame.

I say a Nobel for Amy!!!!         .....and one for Sheldon later. :imsohappy:

They have already gone too far to be just friends now... especially Amy.... She wants/needs romance....

For me Amy used to a great character when she was introduced... but as the series progressed sadly her character has become a sad sack... who constantly complains and complains....

Nobel(or any other academic prize) for Amy would be good and it would be also good if she were given some self respect and confidence......

And no nobel for Sheldon.... his is arrogant enough now... even when he wants to Change his field of research as he failed inspite of his high self boasting intelligence... he does not seem to be a deserving candidate...

Season 9 Lenny gets married and Shamy gets engaged. Then in Season 10 Shamy has their wedding which is ruined when Penny's water breaks and she goes into labor while she is Amy's matron of honor. The Shamy wedding is finished in the delivery room waiting area.

How's that?

And then the tag at the end of the episode is flash forward 15 years.  Sheldon is at a podium looking gorgeous in a tux.  He's shaking hands with the King of Sweden and is receiving his Nobel prize.  He gives his speech and concludes it with '"It goes without saying but thank you to my all my friends and family that have gathered here with me today but especially my amazing wife, the noted neuroscientist Dr. Amy Fowler-Cooper, without whose love, support and encouragement I would not have made the discoveries that bring me here today or made me the man that I am."  The camera pans to the front row and there's the gang, Sheldon's mom and a beaming Amy with their two children.

sigh...

That sounds like a fanfiction. Nicely written but very OOC.

For those who can't open the link: The Shelnard hug.....

TBBT-7x22-08.jpg

Love it.......

I'm gonna cry again. :icon_cry: Funny, the actual hug is shot from more behind Sheldon, and we see more of Leonard's reaction. He was very shocked but obvious very moved. I can't wait to see this again, especially the moment right after the hug. :icon_cry:

Oh, good--it's not just me!  I thought I was a horrible person for looking at his butt in such an emotional moment.  I know where I'm gonna be pausing the recording... :p

Looking at Jims/Sheldon's ass makes me emotional. Its so beautiful.

FYI, He had season 5 style pants on at the taping.. DAT ASS MAN!

also from TV Line:

Do you have any scoop on the The Big Bang Theory finale? –Alek
Sources at Wednesday night’s taping indicate the May 15 episode will be the show’s most momentous season finale to date — for alllll kinds of reasons. (But in the meantime: Tonight, Penny takes Sheldon to a psychic, where they both seek out career advice.)

It seriously makes me laugh like a lot how much these people "claim" to know beforehand. Let's just take out the word sources and put Kazzie and crew in there instead lol
